Help! I Became A Guy In A BL Novel!-Chapter 181: Kidnapped Again!
Chapter 181: Kidnapped Again!
Soren had already tightened Riven’s security. The waitstaff, the store owners, even the guards posted on nearby rooftops—they were all under Soren’s command. The entire shopping district had become a net of silent watchers.
And Riven, blissfully unaware, continued to explore the city with wonder.
He still hadn’t found out where they were from, he had his suspicions, but nothing concrete. Unfortunately he had too many enemies to completely rule out possibly suspects. One thing was sure, these men were highly trained.
Meanwhile, Leon leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers. "Perfect. Prepare a team. We’ll strike during his lunch routine."
---
Riven did not know that on Day 6, just one day away from going back to Ronan, things would change drastically. He had fun the last few days. As Soren promised, he had to struggle to get out of bed in the morning. The man has thoroughly exhausted him.
But that did not stop him from window shopping! He had enough items at home, he just liked to peruse.
And out of all the establishments, that one restaurant was easily his favourite.
Soren assigned him more bodyguards. Riven would love to say that it is not necessary, but he learnt from the story that Soren had enough enemies... Eli got seriously hurt once!
So he did not put up a fight and accepted the security.
From morning until after lunch, Soren was occupied with his duties, but post-lunch, his time was reserved for Riven. The security team, however, was instructed to remain vigilant throughout.
Riven appreciated their presence but occasionally felt stifled. "You can relax while I’m in the restaurant," he had told them with a gentle smile. "I’m just here to eat. You can follow me closely when I head out." He understood the necessity, given Soren’s numerous adversaries, but cherished moments of relative normalcy.
Unbeknownst to him, shadows lurked even in the most familiar places.
Riven entered the restaurant, greeted warmly by the staff. He settled into his usual seat, the aroma of his favourite dish wafting from the kitchen. The ambience was comforting. This reminded him of his world. It was very modern. He enjoyed it there.
As he savoured his meal, a subtle change occurred. The staff, though familiar in appearance, seemed different—less attentive, their smiles not reaching their eyes. Riven, engrossed in his food, didn’t pay attention.
Midway through his meal, a waiter approached with a complimentary drink. "On the house," he said with a grin. Riven accepted, taking a sip. A peculiar taste lingered, but he dismissed it.
The man mentioned he wanted to be a bartender in the days before, he got many free drinks from him. He had been trying out new recipes, and Riven offered to be his taste tester. Some were off, but some were a hit. Riven did not find this particular drink odd, unfortunately.
Moments later, a wave of dizziness washed over him. His vision blurred, and the room seemed to tilt. Concerned, he rose, intending to head to the restroom to splash water on his face. Soren might have tired him out more? That was it, wasn’t it? Just splash some water, he would be fine.
He never made it.
Outside, the security team maintained their post, unaware of the unfolding events inside. They had grown accustomed to Riven’s routine visits and his request for space within the restaurant.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted. The regular waiters whom they were familiar with held knives in their hands... They were ready to take them down, but another emerged from a corner, they had Riven in their arms and a knife at the young wolf’s throat. freewebnøvel.coɱ
They could not risk killing Riven. They knew how important he was to Soren. They could only let them take Riven away, and slowly follow them. Their only hope was to bide their time and catch them off guard.
The majority had followed the kidnappers, while the others went to inform Soren.
News reached Soren swiftly. The restaurant staff had been replaced by spies, the original employees were found incapacitated in the storage room. The meticulous planning and execution pointed to a formidable adversary.
Soren’s heart pounded with a mix of fear and fury. He was so close to killing these useless men. How dare they let those men kidnap Riven?!
He needed to stay calm, he found Riven once... Although he was the one who had him kidnapped... He will find him again.
This time, he did not plan on keeping it a secret. He was ready to inform Ronan and join forces to find him. He knew that this was a preplanned operation. Those guys must have escaped. Though his men thought to tail them, it was unlikely that they succeeded.

Riven woke up to a lot of yelling. He heard a high pitch voice filled with anger and helplessness. He felt his surroundings without opening his eyes, he tried his best to be discreet. He realised that he was on a bed, a very comfortable bed.
He could tell that he was not back at Soren’s place, so where was he?
Great Riven, your second time getting kidnapped.
Riven was genuinely surprised that he was not on the ground treated like shit.
Putting the surprise aside, he focused on the yelling to see what his kidnappers were up to.
"I cannot believe you did this, Leon! Do you not think?! Did the tutors fail to teach you anything?! This is too much!" A woman yelled at the top of her lungs.
"Mother, it will be fine. And stop calling me Leon, call me by my title." He did not show an ounce of remorse, he in fact, reminded the Dowager Queen to call him ’your highness’.
The woman laughed, and it genuinely scared Riven.
"No, Leon. No titles. You are stripped of your title as the king. Your aunts and sisters covered for you for too long. I turned a blind eye to your shenanigans in the past, but no more. You have crossed the line. You kidnapped the Alpha’s mate! You need to be taught a lesson." She clenched her fists and glared at this incompetent, arrogant son of hers.
