Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem-Chapter 170: Bro Has No Class... Literally
Chapter 170: Bro Has No Class... Literally
Zain stood in the back of the room, arms crossed.
His eyes were still locked on the now-empty screen where Skybrand had just fought Velra.
He was frowning hard.
His mind raced.
What kind of power was that? he thought.
She kept blinking all over the place like a ghost with wings.
He clenched his fist slightly.
It felt like an ability... but not like any I’ve seen.
Blazren’s words echoed in his head from earlier.
"That’s not just an ability," Blazren had said. "It’s something else. You’ll see."
Zain frowned deeper.
If it’s not an ability, then what?
A high-tier ability? Some sort of technique?
He stared blankly at the wall for a few seconds.
Then blinked.
"Wait... I’m an idiot," he muttered.
He slapped his own forehead lightly. "I have a system."
He pulled up his interface with a quick thought.
I can just check her stats, can’t I?
The screen flickered to life in front of his eyes, only visible to him.
---
[Name: Skybrand]
[Class: Skybrand Duelist]
[Stats:]
[Strength: AA]
[Vitality: AA]
[Agility: AA]
[Intelligence: AA]
---
Zain stared at the floating screen.
Then tilted his head.
"...Class?" he muttered aloud. "What the hell is that?"
He scratched the back of his head.
"I’ve seen ranks. I’ve seen stats. But ’class’?"
He scrolled up and down, looking for more info.
Nothing explained it.
He frowned deeper.
"I don’t even have a class."
He looked down at his own stat screen.
Sure enough, the word "Class" wasn’t even there.
Just blank space.
"Did I miss an update or something?" he grumbled.
"Was there a system patch I skipped?"
He paced a little, rubbing his temples.
"Not even the memories of this body talk about ’class.’"
"And I’ve been through all of them. Twice."
He paused, thinking harder.
"Skybrand Duelist... Sounds fancy. Probably custom."
He glanced up again.
"Figures."
"She has wings made of windfire, moves like a lightning bolt, and cuts people midair without blinking."
He sighed.
"This just keeps getting weirder."
Then he stared at the screen again.
And finally muttered, "Man... I need a class too."
He waved his fingers through the air, pretending to write something in the air.
"Demon King... no, too cliché. Heavenly Demon sounds good. Destruction Demon? Too much?"
He scratched his chin, then nodded. "Let’s just write some names for now."
As he was mumbling to himself, Blazren walked up beside him.
His arms crossed, still watching the end of the recording.
"She’s too arrogant," Blazren said, shaking his head.
"Skybrand could’ve caught Velvet Demon if she was serious."
Zain blinked, then looked at him. freewebnøvel.com
Now that he thought about it...
Skybrand didn’t go all out. Not even close.
Zain nodded slowly. "Yeah. She was holding back."
Blazren sighed. "She always does. She likes to look flashy."
Zain thought for a second.
That works for me, he thought.
If she was serious, Velra might’ve been finished.
He leaned in slightly toward Blazren.
He then whispered, "Hey. Do you know about... classes?"
Blazren’s body stiffened.
He looked at Zain with a sharp side-eye. "How do you know that word?"
Zain smirked. "I heard it from some people."
Blazren raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "What people?"
Zain shrugged casually.
"You know, those kinds of people..."
"The ones hanging around the high-tier corners of BB-Zone."
Blazren stared for a moment, then let out a breath.
"I see," he said finally. "So that rumor’s already floating around."
Zain looked at him seriously. "So it’s real?"
Blazren nodded slowly. "It is."
Zain leaned closer. "Then can you explain it to me?"
Blazren sighed and glanced around. "Not here."
Zain tilted his head. "Too many ears?"
"Exactly."
Blazren looked him in the eye.
"You’re already AA-Rank. I guess I can tell you now."
He stepped back, motioning toward a hallway.
"Follow me."
Zain nodded without a word and walked beside Blazren.
Both of them were heading toward the restricted corridor.
This is going to be interesting, Zain thought.
But just as they turned the corner, a calm figure passed them from the other direction.
Neuro.
He walked with his usual stiff posture, hands behind his back.
His visor glowed faintly as if he was analyzing everything around him.
Blazren stopped and called out, "Skybrand failed."
Neuro paused.
His head turned slightly, but his body didn’t.
"She was too arrogant," Blazren added. "She let the target escape."
Neuro gave a small smirk.
"One failure doesn’t matter. We still have more chances."
He turned fully now, his eyes narrowing slightly behind the visor.
"Now that we’ve seen what she can do... We’ll catch her next time."
Then his gaze shifted to Zain.
"And who is this?"
Blazren gestured. "The new AA-Rank hero. Goes by the name Heavenly Demon."
Neuro raised an eyebrow.
"Heavenly Demon?" he repeated.
A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
"What a coincidence... that the new group is called the Heavenly Demon Sect."
Zain quickly responded.
"I have no idea how they ended up using my name," he said, voice low and sharp.
"I’ve used it long before that group appeared. It’s mine."
There was a small tension in the air.
His jaw was tight. His tone wasn’t defensive.
He looked quite irritated.
Blazren glanced at him, noticing the shift in Zain’s mood.
Zain didn’t back down.
"They’re the ones copying me," he added. "Not the other way around."
Blazren didn’t say anything, but he gave a small nod, trusting Zain for now.
Neuro stared at Zain a second longer, then nodded slowly.
"I see."
Then he turned and walked away.
"I need to prepare my next plan," he said quietly.
As Neuro disappeared down the hall, Zain crossed his arms and leaned slightly toward Blazren.
"So that’s the famous AA-Rank hero... Neuro."
Blazren grunted. "Yeah. A bastard."
Zain raised an eyebrow. "That bad?"
"He’s smart," Blazren said. "Too smart."
"Doesn’t trust anyone. Always two steps ahead."
"I don’t like him, but I can’t deny he gets things done."
Zain nodded slowly.
"I see."
Then a smirk appeared on his face.
"What an interesting hero."
