He leaned against the wall in the building next door as he eagerly waited for the tall figure to appear in the doorway. He did not have to wait for long.

Three minutes after he sent the text message, a blonde man slightly above 6 meters, with ocean blue appeared. He stood for a full second looking around before he saw him.

And his lips stretched into a full smile.

It was so beautiful.

"Ravi!" Arlen pulled him into a hug the moment he crossed the road, he pulled away to place a quick kiss on his lips, "I missed you so much."

Ravi’s lips twitched, "We went on a date yesterday and we chatted when we reached home." They had chatted for more than an hour when they reached home. Ravi could not even recall what they were talking about. They had even spoken about what kind of content they would make if they decided to become a content creator. All Ravi knew was that the chat made him very happy.

Arlen complained, "It is not enough." He then looked at him, noting the polo and jeans, "I just knew that you would use every single sick leave you could drag out of the Chief."

"Three days is not enough, he is being stingy."

"Actually, I am the one that reduced it from five days to three days."

Ravi blinked, he could have gotten five days, five days, "I am taking the lunch box back. How could you do that? Why?"

"Lunch box. You brought lunch for me. Really?" Arlen’s eyes instantly went to the bag in Ravi’s hand and he swallowed.

"Arlen." The voice was level.

Arlen took his eyes from the box and looked at him, a little cautious. Was he upset? He reflected for a minute and then in a more subdued tone, apologized, "I should not have done it without your permission. Would you feel better if I told you that I convinced him to turn your two days extra sick leave into a bonus?"

Ravi’s eyes instantly brightened, "Bonus? How much?"

Arlen raised his entire palm.

"Five hundred?"

"Five thousand. Injury bonus."

"Five thousand." His lips instantly met Arlen, in a short kiss, "You truly are the best boyfriend in the world."

Arlen laughed and then took out his phone, opening an app. He placed the phone close to Ravi; ’s lips, "Please say it again, say my full name this time."

Ravi’s lips twitched, "Don’t be cheeky. The food would get cold." The house opposite the police bureau was a laundry service and even though the matron did not mind them hanging around, it would be a whole different thing for them to lay a mat and start eating. He looked around and then saw the convenience store.

They had a table and chairs, it should do it.

Turning his gaze back, he saw Arlen still looking at him.

"Are you still upset? I would not make such decisions again without informing you. Don’t be angry, okay?" He reached out to hold Ravi’s arms, carefully caressing them while looking at him with those soulful blue eyes.

How is that fair? When he looked at him like this, Ravi just knew that he would agree to almost any request.

"I was not angry. Just a little upset." He was quiet and then looked at his hand that was being caressed, he did not know why Arlen liked to touch his fingers so much. He was not angry, truly, it was just that he was a little tired. "For the longest time, decisions were made for me without my input."

Arlen pulled him closer, "I am sorry. I would consult you next time." He kissed his brows. The kiss was gentle, pious even, making Ravi swallow as he looked at him. He was taken aback by the expression in those blue eyes, it was...so gentle.

His cheeks turned red and he looked away slightly, "You don’t need to consult me for every single thing."

Arlen smiled, "I know. The important ones, then, the ones concerning you."

Ravi looked at him for a second. He had not really been in a conventional relationship like this before and he knew there were rules, right now did he...

"Don’t think too much, love." There was a light flick on his head, "I was the one wrong."

"Ouch!" He then instantly pulled Arlen from the side of the building to a corner. Across the street, Lisa had come out, dressed in a light blue police uniform. She was talking to a delivery guy and handed him some money in exchange for her package.

Sarah soon came out and was talking to Lisa. The moment Ravi saw her, he used his hand to block Arlen’s mouth.

With her enhanced auditory perception, Ravi did not want to play a guessing game of how much she could hear from that distance.

Ravi watched the two of them carefully when he felt someone licking his palm. He looked to see blue mischievous eyes looking back at him.

First, it had been a kiss and then long wet circles were drawn on his palm. Ravi felt like his palm was burning and the heat spread through his body.

Arlen! There was no rule that police officers could not date but there was a restriction that one could not be under the direct supervision of the other partner. If they were caught, Ravi would have to be transferred to another team or worse, another district.

Ravi’s heart pounded in his chest as Arlen had begun tracing up to his knuckles sending shivers down his spine.

The moment Sarah and Lisa entered the bureau, he hastily took his finger back from Arlen’s lips. His hand was hot, so hot and Ravi did not know what to do with it.

"What are you doing?"

"Just wondering if every part of you tastes as delicious."
