Chapter 179: Having lunch together

Ravi looked at him and his Adam’s apple bobbed up and down. Arlen’s gaze was so explicit, intense as he stared at him from top to bottom. There was a sheer yearning in them that threw Ravi completely off guard and he felt his throat become dry.

"It tastes pretty normal." The words repeated in his ears and Ravi’s cheeks turned red with embarrassment and he glared at Arlen.

He was older and more experienced, how could he become so tongue-tied from just one sentence?

The teasing expression in Arlen’s eyes made his already volatile embarrassment turn to anger and he pinned Arlen to the wall.

He looked at those lips and swallowed.

Arlen smiled and bent down. Their lips molded together gently, it was a simple press of the lips and Ravi was shocked by the intense rush of lust that tingled over his body.

He was the one who pinned Arlen to the wall, his hand holding him tightly but his knees almost gave out with him with how intense Arlen’s kiss quickly got.

His mouth caressed Ravi’s and a low moan escaped from the back of his throat.

Arlen slid his tongue against him in gilded strokes, savoring each brush of their lips like it could be the last. Ravi sucked on his lower lips, kissing back with the same intensity.

Oh fuck! Forget a beautiful bed with red flowers and candlelight. He wanted Arlen to do every good and terrible thing to him he could imagine, right here.

But before the kiss could go further, Arlen brushed his tongue against his top lip before slowly pulling away. He pressed his forehead against Ravi’s while they caught their breaths. There was a wicked grin in his eyes as he looked at Ravi.

"You were saying." His voice was hoarse, raspy.

"Eh?" Even in the wake of the kiss, Ravi could still feel everything. His lips stung from where Arlen had bitten him, the taste of vanilla in his mouth and the sinful caress of his tongue.

Ravi had forgotten all he had said before. It took more than a minute for his scrambled brain to get back online. Arlen had definitely done it on purpose.

"Aren’t you going to let me go? Or do you prefer me bound, is binding your thing, I could go down with it." Arlen whispered next to his ears.

Binding. Ropes. Red ropes. Blue ropes.

Ravi swallowed and instantly let Arlen go. The hard erection had already gotten even harder and he could see Arlen’s eyes creeping down.

"Up!" He gritted his teeth. Like hell, he would let this person tempt him into doing anything opposite of the Bureau.

Arlen chuckled, "Let’s go eat. I am starving." After he said it, his eyes slowly traced the lines of Ravi’s body.

Ravi lifted his hand to cover his chest causing Arlen to chuckle.

"Love..."

"Walk ahead. Six feet gap."

Arlen chuckled but he did as he was told, walking ahead of Ravi and even maintaining the six feet gap between them.

His strides were quick but Ravi’s eyes soon moved to the ass in front of him. And those thighs...

"I can feel your gaze," Arlen said with laughter and Ravi instantly took his eyes away.

"You felt wrong," Ravi said as the two of them reached the convenience store.

"Captain Sinclair." The woman in charge of the store called out with a huge smile. It was not a big store of any kind but it still had tables and chairs by the windows, which was what Ravi wanted.

"Jenna. How is your nephew? Is he settling in? You can call me over to scare just a little bit."

The woman laughed, she came out from the counter and Ravi could see she was pregnant, heavily pregnant.

"I would take you on that one of these days. But he had been less irritable since he joined the soccer club so that is good news. Officer West, I heard about the terrible news, hope you are feeling better now."

Ravi blinked and then pointed to himself.

The woman was confused and then nodded, "Didn’t you go with the villains in place of a hostage and I heard you also defeated them? I did not know that you were so strong. What level is your ability, five, six?"

Ravi looked at Arlen and saw he was fighting the grin on his face.

"Ma’am, whatever you heard was greatly exaggerated but I am fine now. Ma’am."

Jenna nodded with a slightly confused expression, "Oh! Okay. That is good." After a second, she added, "I am twenty-seven years old. No need to call me Ma’am."

"Side effects, Jenna. He took a really hard blow. We would have soy milk, Ravi?"

Ravi nodded.

"Two bottles of soy milk. Can we use the window table for lunch."

The lady nodded her head and the two of them headed over there.

"I was being polite." Ravi said as they settled in.

Arlen chuckled, "Don’t call her that again, or she might just put rat poison in your milk tea the next time you come over."

Ravi smiled. Social niceties, he never had a particular card for them, "Who...Forget it. It must be Lisa." There was no doubt. Tom would not be here gossiping with the young shop owner, Draco would not gossip about him in a way that showed glory on him, Sarah wouldn’t gossip and Lisa, he should be glad that she had not broadcast it to her thousands of followers.

"Definitely Officer Johnson." Arlen agreed with him and then looked around, before moving closer and whispering, "You can misuse my authority if you wish. Like sending a certain someone to work with traffic on Monday, 7a.m."

Ravi laughed, "And what price would I pay for such misuse." His voice got lower and he slightly drew the words.

Arlen’s answer was a burning, insistent gaze on him that made his face grow flush.

"The food. The food would grow cold." He took out the box and placed it on the table, not that it was tall enough to block Arlen’s gaze but the food easily distracted him.

"Ravi, you are the best." Arlen said happily as he pulled his box in front of him.

He opened the box and blinked. Several compartments were filled with different dishes , from top to bottom, from fish to vegetarian, displaying a colorful display. Rvai passed him a pair of bamboo chopsticks.

Arlen hurriedly tried the fish first, he did not know the kind of fish it was but it had almost no bones, the meat was so smooth and tender. The outer layer of the fish was crisp and it separated from the tender and white meat when pulled. There was a slight sweetness with the spiciness, bringing a sort of flavor fusion to one’s tongue. It was seriously so delicious.

He had some more before he tried the spaghetti. It had a little bit to it and was so smooth and silky as it rolled off his tongue. The sauce was creamy and savory and he added some pieces of the grilled fish to it before trying it again.

He blinked and then grinned, It was even more delicious.

Ravi watched him eat, among the various things that he loved about Arlen, one of them was the way he ate. It was so beautiful to watch and it almost without fail, made him feel hungry.

He picked the chopsticks and tried the fish, taking some bites. He felt a gaze on him soon and looked up at Arlen and then looked at his empty lunch box.

"Do you want some more?"

"Not really."

"Arlen."

Arlen nodded a little sheepishly, "It really is so delicious. Your cooking is the best that I have ever eaten."

If he told him that that comment made him more full than a hundred of these dishes could ever. There was a faint blush on his cheeks and he passed the box to Arlen, "There is more at home. I will eat when I get back."

Arlen wanted to give a weak refusal but the aroma from the food did not let him and he soon dived in.

At that moment, the store owner, Jenna, came with the two bottles of chilled soy milk. She smiled and then she placed the two bottles down before leaving. Ravi could swear she gave him a stern look before she left.

He took the bottle and inserted the straw. It was not as sweet as the other soy milk from other stalls. Ravi thought as he smiled.

He watched Arlen eat. He didn’t speak but just immersed himself in the food, eating fast but quietly and soon cleared the box.

"Ravi, thank you for the meal. I enjoyed it."

Ravi smiled, "You are welcome."

"Why are you looking at me like that? I actually do not eat this much on a normal day...." Arlen began to ramble but Ravi just watched him and stretched his hand to cover his.

There was the taste of happiness in his heart.
