I transmigrated and got a husband and a son!-Chapter 1216: Why in the world?
Chapter 1216: Why in the world?
Outside the mansion, Moose shot down any enemy that would try to come up. He quickly realized what this battle had turned to, and there was no way in hell he would let these people kill Hera.
"Damn it!" he grunted as he reloaded, ready to take down the remaining people who were still fighting. "Is the Interpol this useless?!"
Elliot and his men were unhappy, but they chose to ignore him. Unlike the short-tempered reapers, the Interpol had more discipline and patience. Hence, they tried to understand why Moose had been bashing them at every turn he could.
"Be careful not to shoot our allies..." Elliot trailed off as he heard a loud rotor sound from above.
Everyone looked up at the sky, only to catch a huge black helicopter above.
"It’s a black hawk," Elliot muttered, very well aware of the notorious utility aircraft from the military. "Who —"
Elliot squinted as he caught the person standing by the open door. "Is that...?"
"What the hell is Axel doing here?" Moose snorted, catching another aircraft flying behind the Black Hawk. As soon as his eyes landed on the aircraft, he almost jumped when continuous fire was heard, directed to the foot of the hill.
"Hey! Careful, yo!" Moose shouted. "We have friends over there! Don’t you kill them as well!"
Elliot was also worried, but after the first round, he heard from his earpiece that the team at the foot of the hill was safe. They told him they were notified before the attack, which somehow surprised Elliot.
’No wonder they retreated and went into hiding,’ thought Elliot, assuming it was Joker who connected Axel’s men to the members of the Interpol.
Regardless, with Axel’s new forces joining the battlefield, things quickly shifted in their favor. Elliot’s team and Moose still helped, but they could finally focus on worrying about the mansion behind them.

What Elliot didn’t know was that Joker had nothing to do with the memo his men received.
While everyone was busy fighting on the island, no one noticed the small battleship approaching the island. Inside it were people working around the small office filled with computers and advanced technology to manipulate the signal around the island.
And the person leading the specialized team from the Secret Floor was none other than Ivy Wei.
"Infiltrate the intercoms of those who turned their backs on Florence Oxley." Speaking through her earpiece, Ivy stared at the monitors solemnly. "Tell them to take in hiding. We’re dropping a bomb."
The people in front of the monitors worked tirelessly on their computers, speaking through their headsets to execute the order.
Seeing that there was a change of flow on the battlefield, the corner of her lips curled up. A glint flickered across her eyes as she caught the mansion on the screen, but didn’t focus on it for a while.
Pressing her fingers on her earpiece, she whispered solemnly. "Shoot it."
******
Florence’s people, who were fighting near the border of the island, roared in unison. Their enemies had slowly fled and retreated, raising their morale as they knew this was a good sign.
"Don’t let them get away!"
"Take them down!"
"Don’t let them get help!"
The people cheered, knowing they had to finish the job before their former comrades, now enemies, could get away from them. However, just as they decided to run after the retreating groups, they heard this short and crisp ’phew’ from somewhere.
Time slowed down for them, looking back to where they heard the sound. The first thing they saw was a small battleship and the smoke billowing from somewhere behind it. They were all trained soldiers. Hence, they quickly realized why their enemies suddenly fell back to retreat.
Sadly, they didn’t have time to regret or have any thoughts as the missile landed right where they were.
BOOM!
*******
"Where are they!?" Axel panicked as soon as he reached Moose’s and Elliot’s vantage point. "Are they still inside?"
Moose frowned deeply, shifting his eyes at the mansion. "Hey, Joker. Status?" he asked in his earpiece.
"I don’t know," Joker answered in a grim tone. "My drones were caught on fire. All I know is Dominic found her."
But that wasn’t enough to reassure them.
Dominic found Hera, but with the state of the mansion, it was too dangerous for the two of them.
"What about Tiger?" Moose asked, his tone was much darker this time.
"He got in, but I don’t know. I lost contact with him, eventually." Joker’s tone also sullied. "We can only hope he found them."
"Damn it." Moose jumped up and took off all the unnecessary things on him. "I’m going in. That damn Tiger is useless at the most crucial time."
Joker wanted to stop him, but at this point, he knew Moose wouldn’t listen to him.
"You can’t just get in there!" Elliot watched Moose with wide eyes. "Even if you rush your way in, that mansion is on the verge of collapse. It’ll be too dangerous!"
"Shut up if you’re not helping!" Axel glared daggers at Elliot. "I’m going in too! I mean, no, hey you over there! Call Ivy and see if she can check the mansion!"
In Elliot’s eyes, Moose and Axel had two different concerns. Moose was worried about Hera and Tiger, while Axel was worried about his brother. Hence, they weren’t fighting at the moment.
Meanwhile, Lukas Silvers stayed quietly on the side and didn’t try to stop the two from marching to their death like Elliot. He raised an eyebrow when one of his men approached him and whispered in his ear.
"I see." Lukas smiled and nodded. "Turns out you two didn’t need to go."
Moose and Axel stopped, looking at the man with a grim expression.
"You better have anything good to say," said Axel. "If not, I’m gonna wake up the madam from the grave and give your head on a silver platter."
"I know." Lukas smiled, knowing that the threat was not an empty one. "I was told that Nigel came in through the secret passage. Even if — oh, there they are."
Lukas shifted his eyes to the side, making everyone follow his gaze.
There, all they saw were a few figures walking out of the shadows of the collapsing mansion. One of them was Nigel, whom no one cared about. Then, Bear’s huge build, carrying Tiger by the shoulder. The other person walking beside them was Dominic with Hera in his arms.
"Why in the world... is Dominic topless? Did he think he was posing for a magazine?" Moose blurted out in dismay, but the rest were just relieved to see they were able to get out of it in one piece.
At the same time, another explosion was heard, and the entire mansion fell completely.
