Married For Now-Chapter 54: FALLING FIRST
Chapter 54: FALLING FIRST
WHEN SOHEE went to the Webtoon Reading Clubroom with Hong Sera and Cho Euntak, he thought they would just register their entry and be done with it.
But Cho Euntak’s friend, Baek Jeho, came to pick him up.
Then Han Raehyun and Jin Minki also came to register their entry.
After that, a cute "drama" happened again.
Sohee was having fun watching Han Raehyun and Baek Jeho get protective of Hong Sera and Cho Euntak— respectively— when Jin Minki approached him.
And the dude just dropped a piece of information he had absolutely no interest in.
"Kosmos will be performing at our university festival. Lee Junsu is my friend, so I heard it from him directly."
To be honest, Sohee wasn’t surprised to hear that Kosmos would perform at the festival.
Yonhee is one of the top three universities in South Korea, so it’s not surprising to hear that they invited Kosmos to perform at our festival. After all, Kosmos is one of the biggest boy groups at the moment.
What surprising was the fact that Jin Minki was Lee Junsu’s friend.
Why do I attract people who are close to Lee Junsu?
"Jin Minki-ssi, right?"
"You can speak comfortably with me, Hyung."
"Alright, Minki-ya," Sohee said, smiling. "To answer your question, no. I haven’t heard about Kosmos attending our university festival. But I’m not surprised since they’re a famous group. I’m not interested in them, though. My idol group came from two generations before them. I like the old Kpop."
"Oh."
"And thank you for sharing that information, even though I have no interest in Kosmos’ schedule."
Jin Minki’s face turned red as if he was embarrassed. "Hyung, aren’t you being sensitive?"
"Am I? Then tell me. Why did you have to tell me about Kosmos’ attendance? About you being Lee Junsu’s friend?"
"I’m just trying to make a small talk, Hyung."
"And you think Lee Junsu is our common denominator?"
"I’m sorry if I offended you in any way, Hyung."
"No, I’m not offended. I’m just setting my boundaries," Sohee said, smiling because he didn’t want to look like a jerk to a younger schoolmate. "I’m not interested in Lee Junsu even if he’s my husband’s ex-boyfriend. And it’s not because I’m jealous or insecure. I simply do not give a fuck. But if I happen to be curious about Lee Junsu, I’d ask Kim Heedo directly. So, you don’t have to tell me anything unless I ask, Minki-ya."
Jin Minki still looked embarrassed, but he bowed his head politely. "I understand, Hyung. I’m sorry for being nosy."
"As long as you understand," Sohee said, gently patting Jin Minki’s shoulder. "As fellow Omegas, let’s get along well, Minki-ya."
Jin Minki just bowed politely.
This kid won’t bother me again, right?
Sohee lifted his head and, much to his surprise, realized that everyone in the clubroom was actually looking at him and Jin Minki.
Did they hear our conversation?
Sohee met Hong Sera’s sparkling eyes and was about to ask what was wrong when...
"Kids, you’re here!"
It was Woo Yuri, the Webtoon Reading Club’s president.
The president came with the other members of the club.
"It’s good that you’re here," Woo Yuri— short hair, model-like Beta– said cheerfully. "Let’s have a welcome party dinner for our new members."

IT WAS a fun night.
Sohee and the members of the Webtoon Reading Club went to a Korean barbecue restaurant for their welcome party early dinner.
He was older than Woo Yuri.
But he was the same age as Doh Allen— the half-Korean and half-American Vice President of the club.
Only Han Raehyun and Cho Euntak are the Alphas here.
It made sense because, apparently, only a few Alphas were interested in the arts field.
On the other hand, only Sohee and Jin Minki were the Omegas there.
The rest are Betas.
"Sohee Oppa, you’re not drinking?" Woo Yuri asked. "But why? It’s rare for me to treat our club members like this, so you should take advantage of my generosity!"
Aigoo.
She’s already drunk.
"I’m sorry, but I have a schedule after this," Sohee said, smiling apologetically at Woo Yuri. What he said was true, though. Kim Heedo’s class would end at 7PM, and they had an appointment at a jewelry store at 8PM. "I’m actually just waiting for Kim Heedo."
The entire long table suddenly fell silent, and then everyone— except for Hong Sera, Cho Euntak, Han Raehyun, and Jin Minki— looked at him curiously.
Why? Why? Why?
"Oppa, please let me be nosy this one time," Woo Yuri said, her eyes sparkling. "Is it true that you’re married to the idol of the Business Administration Department?"
Pfft.
It wasn’t the first time Sohee heard their schoolmates’ nickname for Kim Heedo, but it was still funny.
Well, that’s a small price to pay for being so ridiculously handsome.
"Yes, we’re married," Sohee said, smiling. It wasn’t like he was bragging about it. He was just stating a fact. "It’s only been a few months." frёewebηovel.cѳm
Woo Yuri smiled and raised her glass. "Congratulations, Sohee Oppa!"
And then everyone made a toast while congratulating Sohee on his marriage.
"Congrats, Oppa!"
"Have a blessed life, Hyung!"
Sohee grinned at the heartfelt greetings of his new dongsaengs and friends. "Thank you, everyone."
"Congratulations, Sohee-ya," Doh Allen said while pouring soju into Sohee’s glass. "You should at least drink a glass."
Sohee chuckled, and then he nodded before finishing the glass in one gulp.
Everyone cheered.
These kids are so lively.
"Oppa, can I ask a personal question?"
"Go ahead," Sohee said lightheartedly. "You can ask, but I’m not obliged to answer if it’s too personal."
It was clear that he was only joking, so most of their club members laughed.
But the freshman still pushed her question.
"Oppa, how did you meet Kim Heedo Sunbae-nim?"
And since someone had already asked about Sohee’s love life, the others followed suit.
"How long were you dating before you decided to get married?"
"Who proposed?"
"Hey, keep your questions simple. Hyung, what made you fall for Kim Heedo Sunbae-nim?"
Ah, that was the easiest question to answer vaguely.
"His face," Sohee answered without missing a beat. "I really like Kim Heedo’s face. He’s handsome even after he has just woken up in the morning."
Everyone suddenly fell silent.
Sohee thought his answer was too shallow for the kids.
And then he noticed that everyone was looking behind him.
No way...?
"Hyung, you should say those things in my face."
Aigoo.
Sohee looked up and, as expected, was greeted by Kim Heedo’s handsome face. "How did you know I was here? I didn’t tell you my location."
"You weren’t picking up my calls, so I asked Hong Sera where you were," Kim Heedo explained, and then he caressed Sohee’s cheek with the back of his hand. "Did you drink a lot, Hyung?"
"Nah, just a glass," Sohee said, and then he quickly checked his phone. Only then did he realize that his phone was deadbatt already. "Oh. I forgot to charge my phone."
"You didn’t bring a powerbank, Hyung?"
"I don’t have a powerbank."
"Let’s buy one for you before we go home," Kim Heedo said, gently tousling Sohee’s hair. "Are you done here, Hyung?"
Sohee then turned to his club members, and he instantly regretted it.
Aigoo.
Almost everyone was looking at Sohee and Kim Heedo with warm eyes.
It’s as if they’re watching a drama.
"Yuri-ya, Allen-ah, I’ll go ahead," Sohee said while standing up. "Thank you."
He was about to grab his bag, but Kim Heedo beat him to it.
Wow.
This kid really plays the role of a good husband in front of an audience.
"Take care, Sohee-ya," Woo Yuri said. "Drive safely, Heedo-ya."
Kim Heedo just bowed politely.
And then Sohee left the restaurant with Kim Heedo— feeling like he had bragged about his handsome, sexy, rich, and competent husband even though it wasn’t his intention.
However, it felt nice.
Now everyone will think that Heedo and I married for love and not for anything else.

<"SOHEE OPPA, this is supposed to be my treat. Please extend my gratitude to your husband for paying our bill. He even paid in advance for another round of meat and drinks. We’re all grateful for his generosity. TT">
Oho?
It was the text message that he received from Woo Yuri.
Sohee was surprised to know that Kim Heedo paid for their club’s bill.
After Kim Heedo walked him to the car earlier, he said he forgot to give something back to Hong Sera.
But, apparently, Kim Heedo returned to the restaurant to pay for the bill.
"Heedo-ya?"
"Yes, Hyung?"
Kim Heedo only glanced at Sohee because he was driving.
"Woo Yuri and the others want to thank you for treating them."
"Ah, it’s nothing," Kim Heedo said casually. "I took you away from them when your dinner party wasn’t done yet, so that’s the least thing I could do for them."
"Why didn’t you tell me? I should have thought of paying for the food and drinks because I was the one who left early."
"You made me happy, Hyung."
"Huh?"
"You said I was handsome."
Pfft.
"Don’t you think that was shallow of me?" Sohee asked awkwardly. "And I was just stating the obvious. You’re objectively handsome. I’m sure you’ve heard it many times before."
"Yeah, but it’s still different to hear it from someone as pretty as you, Hyung."
Sohee tried not to blush, but his face still probably turned red after Kim Heedo said he was pretty as if it was the most natural thing to say in the world. "Now you’re pulling my leg."
"No, I’m not," Kim Heedo said, pausing for a moment. "Hearing Hyung say I’m handsome actually made me feel relieved— relieved to know that you’re physically attracted to me as I am to you."
Ah.
It was a simple confession that Kim Heedo was physically attracted to Sohee.
It’s something that I already know.
And, yet, it still made Sohee’s heart skip a beat.
Oh, fuck.
It sucks when you’re the one who fell first, huh?
