The doctor’s calm answer made Kylian feel a bit assured, even though nervous palpitations had been running through his body until a moment ago. The pained sting of betrayal his heart unknowingly felt while doubting Zenith subsided a little when the doctor justified the reason behind his actions.

However, Kylian coldly glanced at Zenith’s keen face once, and even though he was still irked at his methods of bringing him here, he didn’t refuse the doctor from cooperating this time, "Fine, I will get done with the physical examination."

It seemed Zenith wasn’t expecting him to give in so soon as his answer made him squint his orbs at Kylian. But before he could intervene, the doctor calmly smiled at Kylian, as he started putting on his gloves, "You did make the right choice, Kylian. Do not fret, I am the only one who is aware of your secret, so you will be absolutely safe here."

The doctor’s reassurance didn’t completely relieve Kylian as he exhaled a heavy sigh before walking up to the check-up bed at the corner of the chamber. He stood still a few seconds contemplating, before climbing up to get over with the medical examination.

Though Kylian was trying hard to act stoic from the outside, Zenith could notice him getting badly nervous inside. Since the day he laid his gaze on him for the first time, he unknowingly found himself catching onto his every little reaction, and even now he noticed Kylian’s legs were shivering a little.

Before forcibly dragging him here, he also remembered Kylian was constantly shrieking that he didn’t like hospitals, yet he was compelled to bring him here. Thus feeling a bit guilt-stricken from inside, Zenith walked close to the doctor while watching he was preparing some medicines for Kylian.

"Dr. Albert, make sure the medical examination won’t hurt him physically. If he runs away again, I won’t bother to bring him back here." Zenith addressed in a low voice, making sure Kylian wouldn’t hear him.

Even though Zenith tactfully tried to act nonchalant through his tone, Dr. Albert was sharp enough to get his hint. Watching Zenith worry for someone, especially about an omega, curved a small smirk on him as he whispered to him, "Are you worried that I will hurt your omega, Zenith?"

"Hey, don’t make up stuff on your own. I just warned you because I know what kind of feisty little brat he can be." Zenith tried hard to brush off his tease with his stiff answer but he couldn’t hide his concern-filled gaze towards Kylian as he spoke, "He seems to dislike coming to hospitals, but I dragged him here anyway. So, just make sure you won’t scare him off anymore."

"You’re worrying too much, Zenith." Dr. Albert smirked at his concern as he added further, "His medical examination isn’t supposed to hurt him very much, but if you are too worried for him, would you want to stay here and watch us instead?"

"Hah, he might bite my head off if I do that." Zenith retorted with a chuckle while exhaling a heavy sigh as he continued, "But I do have my own ways to tone down his nervousness, even if it means annoying him."

Addressing his intent, Zenith turned around and walked close up to Kylian’s check-up bed where he had just laid down. Reaching close, Zenith insisted on annoying him with a wide smug face, "Sweetie, if you are feeling nervous, do you want to hold my hand?"

"Get the fuck out of here, you damn creep! And stop calling me that, didn’t I warn you!?"

As expected Zenith’s method worked effectively as Kylian’s nervousness was quickly replaced with his vexation towards Zenith. Gritting his jowls, he averted his gaze at the doctor while lashing aloud, "Why is this pervert still here in this room? Ask him to get the hell out of here before you begin the check-up, doctor!"

"I was about to go outside anyway. But, before leaving I wanted to hand it over to you." Holding his small grin, Zenith grabbed out Kylian’s phone from his pocket and handed it over as he mentioned, "I couldn’t give you earlier because the battery had died. Your luggage is also safe so don’t fret about anything else and go through the checkup."

Before escaping from his room after the intimate night with him Kylian never hoped he would be able to retrieve the belongings he had left in Zenith’s room last night. But now watching him take the first initiative to hand over his phone made him wince a little. Kylian snatched his phone from his arm, as he observed Zenith had indeed kept it safe along with him.

Kylian’s nonchalant expression made Zenith smile wider as he could visibly notice the relief in his eyes after getting his phone back. Not only him, crossing his arms, but the doctor stood still to watch Zenith’s efforts to console Kylian’s nervousness in his own ways.

Before walking towards the door, he averted his gaze towards the doctor while addressing him aloud, "Oh, and make sure you won’t strip all of his clothes completely, even if it will be for the medical examination. I am the only one who is allowed to see him naked, and no one else."

"Who the heck are you to decide that!? Get the fuck out before I smash your head, pervert!"

But turning flushed red from his sudden command, Kylian threatened to hit Zenith with the penstand near him, as he watched him leave with his sly smug face. The doctor was enjoying their bickering moments but he averted his gaze when Kylian grunted aloud, "Ugh that damn pervert...I just can’t stand him anymore! I am sure he must be such a pain in ass towards everyone else around him as well—"

"No. You’re the only one."

Before Kylian could finish his grumble, the doctor’s words flinched him a little, making him lift his ocean eyes at his face.

Watching his confused gaze, the doctor comforted him with a calm smile as he answered, "I have been by Zenith’s side since he was a child. I am one among the very few people left around him in this world whom he could trust.

And, I can assure you Kylian, it’s the first time for me as well to watch him being worried and acting cheerful towards someone, which isn’t like his usual self. I am very certain, you must have witnessed it too how does he behave towards others, right?"

Kylian couldn’t oppose his words this time as he frowned his brows, as he realized he was correct in pointing Zenith’s nature towards others. But with a deep sigh, Kylian gazed at the door through which Zenith just left while he wondered, ’Now that he mentioned this, I have also noticed he has acting this way around me since last night of my transition...but I can’t understand...why?

’How am I supposed to trust someone deranged like him who finds it fun to watch others’ in misery?’
