It didn’t take long for the next day to arrive.

Most of the people who bought the map from Jayhan were getting ready to head outside the plaza and go hunt for food from nearby stores.

Using the map, their chances of running into high-ranking monsters were greatly reduced, or at least that’s what Jayhan claimed.

While the others were doing that, Jayhan and his own group decided to pursue a different goal.

His goal for heading outside the plaza wasn’t to hunt for food.

Three things were on his to-do list.

One, to gather as many coins as possible for the team to upgrade their stats for the fifth quest.

Two, to find another game store in hopes of finding more versions of the ’Apocalypse on Earth’ game.

The last time, the only reason he knew its importance was after Veronica handed it to him, claiming it was a side quest.

It did cross his mind occasionally why it had to be her and what she could have possibly gotten as a reward.

Either way, he expected the same thing to happen again.

Maybe someone would hand him the next version of the game as a side quest.

But patience was running low.

In less than a few days, the fifth quest would begin, and he needed to find the next game, as his knowledge didn’t extend past the fifth quest.

Thus, he decided to go hunting for it himself.

The third reason was a bit of a gamble; if it worked well, his control over that person would be greatly cemented.

As planned initially, Jayhan picked two people to follow him outside the plaza.

Adonis and Seo Yuna.

Once he was done exploring with them, he would come for Kara and Veronica and switch.

Kara wasn’t one to easily budge, so he knew she would keep their stuff safe until they came back.

In fact, he was more worried about her killing them than anything.

After a while, Jayhan and the two he picked were outside the plaza.

Standing in the middle of the empty road, Adonis was the first to speak...

"Well now, this place looks worse than it did. What a shame, and I was starting to like it."

’Sure, you were.’

Although, Adonis wasn’t entirely wrong.

The city seemed lonelier now.

Buildings that used to stretch to the sky were now broken on the ground, and those that managed to remain standing had been eaten by plant and bird-like monsters.

White fog seemed to cover everything, making it a tad bit harder to see what was in front of you without paying attention. The sun was red, and as such, everything looked like it was being run by vampires.

One misstep, and a monster could snatch you from any corner without you knowing.

That didn’t apply to Jayhan, though.

Looking at the map simulation, he could see a gathering of monsters a short distance away from him.

Which was fairly good.

If he had taken a different route, he would have run into a death wraith. And they were almost impossible to kill.

"Okay, let’s go that way. There are some weak monsters over there; we can use them to farm more coins."

Seo gave him a weird look.

"I’m all for fighting monsters and all, but I have no weapons, and the skills I have aren’t exactly fit for combat."

Jayhan looked at her.

’Oh... right,’

"Give me a sec."

Jayhan looked at the list of items available in his store.

Depending on how strong or weak you are, the system supplies would be updated accordingly.

Jayhan had a lot of coins, so he knew he would see good things to buy from the shop.

Most items in the shop were regular stuff, unless someone decided to put up something for auction and sell to the highest bidder.

Jayhan did consider doing that for the map, but then again, having too many people running around had its own risks.

He would do that after he was done exploring.

A faint light glowed in his hand, and just then, the slim blade appeared.

Seo was surprised by it, her lips parting as if wanting to say something.

"Here, this should work fine for you, right?"

Jayhan stretched the blade toward her.

Grabbing the hilt, she did a couple of swings.

"How did you know I wanted a slim sword?"

Jayhan threw a glance to the side at the question.

"Ah—just a guess..."

’Can’t tell her she once made love to a slim blade in the game.’

Suddenly—

[Game log: The character Seo Yuna attempted to copy your ability.]

[The skill Lord of Information has blocked all foreign occurrences.]

’Eh...’

Seo Yuna stumbled backward a bit, her hand clutching the side of her head as she winced in pain.

’She’s still trying to copy my ability. Open profile.’

"Are you alright? What happened?" He touched her shoulder.

Pouting, Seo shrugged her shoulder to get his hand off, gave him a death stare, and then walked away toward the direction he told them they were going.

Jayhan couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.

"What’s wrong? You’ve been quiet," he said, looking at Adonis.

"I owe you no explanation, human."

Adonis followed behind Seo.

"Just stay together; this place isn’t monster-free."
