Reawakened with a Dual Survival System in the Apocalypse.-Chapter 38: Curse on Seo Yuna
Chapter 38: Curse on Seo Yuna
Just as the queen stretched her proboscis to suck his blood, Jayhan acted.
Using his one free hand, he summoned his second weapon.
[You have equipped the D-rank Dagger.]
[The skill Blade of Flames Lvl 1.]
Wasting no time, Jayhan made a wide slash with his hand, cutting the proboscis and allowing the flames from the dagger to linger on what was next.
The queen released her hold on him, taking a few steps back while letting out a loud cry that could be heard for miles.
And from the looks of it, it seemed like she was also calling for backup.
From every direction, Blood Suckers began charging towards his position, their movements swift and precise.
"Adonis!!!"
Seo called out the moment she noticed all the Blood Suckers changed their target to Jayhan.
"You don’t need to yell!! I already had that on my mind!!"
Moving like a serpent, Adonis tried to put down as many as he could by ripping off their heads.
But alas, it didn’t seem like it was working.
In no time, over one hundred Blood Suckers would swarm Jayhan like they did to the unfortunate humans that were in their path.
"I have to use it."
Seo made up her mind.
She was going to use her divine blessing. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
Closing her eyes for a while, she reached into her inner self, feeling as the sudden energy began to overwhelm her from the inside.
By the time she opened her eyes, her hair had taken a golden glow, and surrounding her body were multiple chains, each one moving like snakes.
This was the authority of Athena.
Seo Yuna, calm and collected, pointed at the far distance—at the Blood Suckers.
"Kill every last one," she commanded.
Before long, the chains began charging forward like missiles, giving off whistling sounds as they covered great distances in minutes.
One by one, they began stabbing the Blood Suckers in the back, instantly killing them and turning them to golden dust as if they never existed.
Somehow, this slowed the Blood Suckers’ advance as they began to run towards separate positions in order to avoid getting killed.
Hell, even Adonis was shocked by this power, so much so, that all he did was wait and admire her.
Meanwhile...
’Seo used her divine blessing to buy me time. I should end this quickly.’
Jayhan leaped up from the ground, speeding forward almost instantly.
[You have spent 5000 coins on strength.]

His eyes burned with determination.
Seeing that her prey was heading toward her, the queen decided to ignore her injury and defend herself.
Unfortunately, Jayhan was faster.
He sliced three of her arms, stabbed her in the side with his poisonous dagger, and then proceeded to climb her back.
As the queen was squirming back and forth, Jayhan held her head still, and in one go, he slit her throat, her head coming right off.
Jayhan landed on the ground, blue liquid dripping from his dagger onto the already tainted ground.
He panted for a while, his focus now in front where he could see most of the Blood Suckers standing like statues, unable to do anything without their queen.
And then—
(Congratulations on clearing the side quest, Kill the Blood Sucker Queen.)
(Side quest has been completed.)
Jayhan unequipped his daggers and turned his gaze to the next screen that played before him.
[You killed the Blood Sucker Queen.]
[You have gained 3500 coins.]
[A new unique skill has been rewarded.]
[Beast Tamer:] Description: You can tame a single monster and make it do whatever bidding you want.
Note: This skill can only work on monsters you have killed.
Jayhan stared at the screen for a while.
’Meaning if I level up the skill, I should be able to control more than one monster. Hopefully.’
Only two people in the game had a similar skill, but they got it from their divine protector, so Jayhan was a bit skeptical.
’I should test it out, just in case.’
Jayhan shifted his gaze from the screen to the dead queen lying on the ground.
’This should do.’
[You have activated the skill, Beast Tamer Lvl 1.]
[Queen of Blood Suckers is now under your control.]
To Jayhan’s surprise, the queen’s corpse stood up from the ground, headless, and went back down to her knees just to bow down her head.
’It works.’
Though he knew better than to expect a perfect skill at level 1. Most likely there would be a time limit, or as the system said, being able to control just one.
Before he could explore further.
"Of all the things I expected from a human like you, a bug bowing to you was not one of them."
Adonis stopped a few feet away, genuinely shocked at what he was witnessing.
"Relax, it was a skill I got for completing the quest," replied Jayhan with an unimpressed look on his face.
"You got a skill? You chose to kill this huge bug thingy with thighs knowing this beforehand? You really are quite shameless..."
Jayhan threw a nervous smile, trying not to get annoyed at whatever Adonis just said to him.
From his side, Seo Yuna approached him.
"Here, I gathered all the gems. You said you wanted them, right?"
She stretched out a bag.
"Oh, thank you."
Jayhan took the bag from her, after noticing she had gone back to her former form.
Still, she had used the divine blessing, which also meant [The Curse of the Goddess] was now active in her.
And he knew exactly what it was.
"So, where are we going next?" Seo asked.
"We have gathered enough coins, so we should be headed towards that alley. A green zone is right there. That way, you can upgrade and buy whatever you need."
Jayhan strapped the bag of gems around his waist.
Suddenly, without any warning, Seo grabbed Jayhan’s hand and pressed it against her breasts.
—Silence.
Adonis had a shocked look on his face, as if his jaw was about to drop to the ground.
Meanwhile, Jayhan and Seo were frozen in what looked to be confusion.
"Seo?"
Simply calling her name made Seo Yuna blush, her whole face turning red, ear to ear.
Yet, she didn’t let go; she kept Jayhan’s hand pressed against her plump chest.
She decided to speak, her voice cracking with every word,
"This isn’t what it looks like. I just find you hot and have been wanting to know what it feels like to have someone touch my chest."
As soon as she uttered these words, Seo covered her mouth, eyes widened in embarrassment.
Adonis felt as though his soul had exited his body.
Seo, for some reason, spoke again—
"I meant what I said! I love you touching my breasts."
Adonis fell to his knees, crawling on the ground like an animal—
"My darling Seo, what has gotten into you?"
Seo shot him a disgusted look.
"What are you still doing here? Get lost."
Adonis collapsed to the ground.
Jayhan, on the other hand, understood why she was suddenly acting the way she was.
The curse Athena laid on her was the same as in the game.
Curses don’t have names, but if one were to give this particular one a name, it would be, "The Heart That Never Lies."
As long as Seo was contracted to the goddess Athena, not only was she forced to always tell the truth, but depending on how strong her urges were, she could never dismiss them. She had to act on them.
With his hand still resting on her breasts, Jayhan couldn’t help but chuckle nervously.
To think, she wanted him to touch her. It came as quite the shock, and understandably so.
Even in the game, despite how many men chased after her, Seo didn’t once attend to any of them. Quite frankly, she was disgusted by the male species themselves.
Looking to the side, Jayhan uttered—
"There is no reason to be embarrassed. I...I guess it’s just that time of the month."
Seo’s expression turned dark.
Slowly raising her head, she gripped the hilt of her blade and raised it to the air.
"Carry my secret to the grave. Die."
"Eh?!"
Trying to move away from her, Jayhan accidentally squeezed her breasts.
And then—
Ahhhhhh~
...
Soon, the three of them advanced towards the green zone.
It took them quite some time, but they finally got there.
Throughout their journey, Adonis had nothing but malicious intent towards Jayhan.
The green zone was a square zone at the side of the streets, with four huge flying orbs hovering inside it.
These orbs were the main importance of the zone, and where the survivors were meant to go if they wanted to upgrade or buy anything.
"Aren’t we lucky? It would seem only three people can fit into it. And we just so happen to be that exact number."
Adonis uttered with his arms tucked.
"Great, you two go in there. I’ll keep watch." Jayhan took a step back.
Seo immediately turned to look at him,
"Why? Don’t you need to upgrade and stuff, too?"
"Yeah, or perhaps you have other plans you don’t intend on telling us," Adonis joined in.
It didn’t seem like they’d be backing down any second either.
"Alright, fine. Let’s go in," Jayhan responded, not a single hint of excitement on his face.
