Switched Life:I Went Viral on a Family Variety Show-Chapter 116: Bump to Death for Me
Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Bump to Death for Me
[Someone come, block Shen Yi’s mouth for me, so he won’t keep talking.]
[Help, even as a fan, I feel secondhand embarrassment. Shen Yi, if you can’t control that mouth, you’ll wind up with no friends.]
[Shen Duidui lives up to his name. Sister Sang, please don’t give him water later—let’s see how long he can keep being stubborn.]
"Give me the notebook and marker." Sang Ning bent down to place the bottle of water on the ground.
When she straightened up, Shen Yi had already taken the items out of the plastic bag and handed them to her.
Sang Ning squatted, laid the notebook flat on the ground, opened the cover, and tore out two pages from the inside.
As Shen Yi saw her tear out the pages and open the marker cap, he asked, "Are you going to write something?"
"What do you think?" Sang Ning shot back a quick reply before lowering her head to write.
Just as the tip of the pen was about to touch the paper, a slender, well-defined hand suddenly entered her line of sight and pulled away the notebook, along with the torn-out pages.
Sang Ning looked up to see Shen Yi, one hand in his pocket and the other holding the notebook, calmly gazing down at her with casual indifference.
Before she could say a word, Shen Yi tilted his chin backward, gesturing behind him. "You can’t write properly squatting like that. Bend over—I’ll let you write on my back."
With that, Shen Yi supported himself with one hand on his thigh, lowered his body, and stretched the notebook toward Sang Ning with his other hand.
"Alright, fine." Sang Ning hesitated for a moment but eventually stood up and took the notebook from Shen Yi.
She walked behind him, adjusted the notebook, rested both hands on his back, and began writing.
The pen tip glided over the paper, separated by a thin layer of fabric. The strange sensation traveled from his back to the rest of his body.
In the corner where the cameras couldn’t capture them, Shen Yi quietly curled his lips, the corners of his eyes glimmering with a faint smile.
A few seconds later, he returned to his usual expression and continued playing his role as a mere "tool."
[I’m dead again—Sang Ning and Shen Yi are seriously overwhelming with sweetness. Whether you ship them or not, I’m claiming my spot first!]
[Shen Yi may have a foul mouth, but he’s also pretty considerate—like letting Sang Ning write on his back.]
"Ah!!!!" A screech burst from inside Li’s Villa.
Li Keyao had been sitting cross-legged on the sofa, hugging a pillow. When she saw the scene of Shen Yi bending over so Sang Ning could write on his back, she screamed and launched herself onto the living room carpet.
Clutching her pillow, she rolled back and forth on the carpet, laughing and shouting, "This is too shippable, too shippable!"
After rolling a few times, she lay on her back, lifted her legs into mid-air, and started kicking wildly in excitement. "How can they be this cute? The sweetness of YiNing is absolutely over the top! The handsome guy and beautiful girl are just too perfect together!"
"Li Keyao, can you calm down a bit? Look at yourself, what is this ridiculous behavior?"
A stern voice rang out, and Li Keyao’s smile instantly vanished. She sat up on the floor, staring in disbelief at Li Juezhou, who stood in the living room.
Were her ears deceiving her? Had her brother actually yelled at her?!
"You yelled at me—you actually yelled at me! You’ve never said a harsh word to me since we were kids. I was just watching TV, what’s the big deal?" Li Keyao pouted miserably; one second she was laughing, the next she was on the verge of tears.
"Your voice was too loud. You’re disturbing the peace." Li Juezhou’s tone was calm, but his expression was cold, exuding a dense oppressive energy.
He glanced at his watch, then looked at Li Keyao, advising her, "I’m heading out now. I hope you can behave yourself properly while home alone."
After Li Juezhou left, Li Keyao stormed to the entryway and threw her pillow forcefully at the door.
Infuriated, she thought, "Is my brother going through menopause?"
Why does he even care if I’m watching TV? This is the only villa in the area—there’s no one else here to disturb!
Outside, Li Juezhou loosened his tie with one hand, took a few deep breaths, and gradually calmed himself down.
Sang Ning was a celebrity, bound to interact with male stars—it was just part of the job. Yet, he couldn’t seem to shake the suffocating irritation weighing on his heart.
He lowered his head and chuckled bitterly to himself. To Sang Ning, he was nothing more than a passing acquaintance—not even worthy of jealousy.
...
"Done—I’ve finished writing." Sang Ning retracted her hands holding the pen and paper.
Shen Yi straightened his posture as well. "What did you write?"
Sang Ning handed one of the torn pages to Shen Yi, saying, "See for yourself."
Shen Yi took the page, looked down, and saw bold letters: "Warm Welcome to Miss Wang Yun!"
[I’m dying of laughter—Sang Ning really is the queen of guest receptions. Could she at least use a bigger piece of paper? This size doesn’t exactly scream grandeur.]
[Hey, there’s no choice—it’s the largest size available at the corner store.]
Shen Yi held up the paper to his shoulder level, pursing his lips. "Don’t tell me you want me to hold this thing up like a sign?"
"Of course! You’re so tall—it’s perfect for a reception sign!"
As she spoke, Sang Ning grabbed Shen Yi’s arm, raising it overhead. She then stepped back a few feet, touching her chin, and surveyed him carefully.
Finally, she nodded with satisfaction. "Nice. The height is perfect—now extend your other hand and hold it up too."
Though Shen Yi felt utterly ridiculous, he still followed Sang Ning’s instructions, holding the paper above his head with both hands.
After fixing his posture, Sang Ning began explaining additional instructions to Shen Yi.
"Once our guest arrives, I’ll count down from three. Then, we both raise the reception sign and shout ’Welcome, welcome, warm welcome!’ Make sure to smile when you shout, got it?"
Shen Yi thought the whole thing was dumb and wanted to shake his head as a sign of "not getting it."
Sang Ning, however, pressed her fist against his temple to stop him from moving his head and said with an air of authority, "Smile. You HAVE to smile. We’re doing guest reception, so drop that sulky ’I don’t care’ expression of yours, Mr. Grumpy."
Shen Yi: "..."
[Pfft—I was drinking water, and Sister Sang’s line about him acting like a fool made me spit it everywhere!]
[Calling the nation’s top celebrity a fool is a bold move—Sister Sang might just be the bravest warrior in showbiz.]
[What’s she scared of? Shen Yi really does always wear that grumpy face. I don’t know what kind of sorcery has bewitched his fans—the moodier he gets, the more they adore him.]
As the cable car descended closer and closer, Sang Ning quickly lifted her reception sign and gestured for Shen Yi to do the same.
The other reception guests started arriving and were immediately stunned by what they saw—Sang Ning and Shen Yi raising an actual guest signboard.
What the heck? It’s just a reception—why take it this far?
Though their mouths grumbled, their hands were quick to act—they tore pages out of Sang Ning’s notebook and made their own reception signs.
When the cable car finally arrived, six tourists began stepping off.
As soon as Sang Ning counted down "Three, two, one," Shen Yi reluctantly put on a fake smile while holding up the sign. He weakly shouted, "Welcome, welcome, warm welcome!"
The other guests followed suit, yelling "Welcome!" while holding up their signs.
Two girls with dreadlocks and lollipops in their mouths strode over to Sang Ning and Shen Yi. Their energy was aggressive and anything but friendly.
[Oh my god—the production crew is obviously up to no good! Those two tourists better not be the ones Sang Ning and Shen Yi have to host.]
[What’s up with them?]
[They’re hardcore anti-fans of Sang Ning and Shen Yi!]
