The Crown's Seduction-Chapter 438: Wait For Me
Chapter 438: Wait For Me
Abel quickly finished up some work on a few important documents before he took a quick break and excitedly traveled in his mist to check on Dani. It was her first day of rehearsal for the Coupling Dance, and he was excited to watch her dance.
Quietly sneaking into the rehearsal chamber, he made sure to hide his presence from everyone as he watched Dani struggle on her feet.
"So adorable..." he mumbled to himself as he silently watched. Soon, however, the practice ended with the dance instructor praising Dani for her good work. It was then that Abel couldn’t help but make his presence known as he teased her. "And doing much of the leaping as well."
He clapped his hands as he walked towards them.
"Ah, Lord Abel," the instructor bowed. "I’m doing all that I can to teach her my ways. We were just about to have a short break when you arrived."
"Really? I’m just in time then," Abel chuckled as he turned to face Dani. "I can see that you’ve really improved too."
Raising a brow, Dani asked, "How can you say that? Have... Have you been watching?"
"Watching? Of course, I was," Abel nonchalantly smirked. "And I must say, seeing you landing on your own feet was a fun experience."
Her cheeks burned, and Abel obviously wanted to caress them despite not doing so.
"You... Why didn’t you say anything?" she hissed.
"Again, I was having a bit of fun," Abel chuckled as he leaned in to face her. "In addition, I dare say that seeing you all sweaty like this is a sight to behold."
He simply couldn’t help himself from gazing down towards her body. Her dress had gone see-through with all of the sweat that had been pouring out of her, and she looked very sexy right now. It was a good thing that someone else was there with them, or else he might end up taking her right then and there.
"You... You pervert," she timidly growled. "If you want to have a look so badly, then go ahead!"
"Hmm, that’s a tempting invitation. I trust I will receive the same encouragement as soon as we’re married," Abel mischievously stated. He made it sound like a joke, but in all honesty, he was looking forward to it. There was no way he wouldn’t take her and consummate their wedding by all means necessary.
She growled at him and turned around even as Abel’s loud laugh resonated inside the room. He then looked at the instructor and said, "You two can proceed. I’ll leave my wife in your care."

The days passed by without Dani even noticing it with how busy she had become recently. Today, however, was extra important for her since today was the day that the Seer of Ebodia would come to see Dahlia.
"I should inform Abel," Dani mumbled to herself.
While thinking this, she remembered that she also had practice today, and she was sure Abel would come to bother her again by that time. As such, she decided to tell Abel then that he should come and see their Seer as well.
After wrapping up her daily tasks, she quickly left for her dance practice and made her way to her designated dancing hall.
Meanwhile, Abel had also just wrapped up his usual work and quickly took a break to check on Dani. He was glad that the king was finally back since it meant that his workload would be lessened now. Quickly shifting into his mist form, he looked for Dani who he quickly found making her way to the practice hall.
’Hmm, she looks so happy,’ he thought before shifting into his human form before her.
"I wonder what comes to your mind whenever you suddenly laugh like a crazy lady while walking alone..." he commented with a grin.
"Well, I just imagined doing the sword dance instead of your Coupling dance..." Dani snorted.
"You’re probably thinking about decapitating me during that sword dance," Abel hummed as he started walking with her.
"Absolutely," Dani muttered with a smile. She then turned to him and asked, "Where are you going anyway? This isn’t the way to the throne hall."
"The royal court meeting was delayed, so I don’t see the point in staying there while the king isn’t yet around..." Abel replied. "The Queen Mother will be there as well, so I believe she’ll handle everything regardless. Knowing that my presence is clearly no longer required, especially since I’ll only hear the same blabbering anyway, I decided to come here. Staying there will only waste my precious time, so instead, I’ll just-" frёeωebɳovel.com
Abel halted mid-sentence the moment he saw Dahlia. It was the first time he saw her since he still hadn’t bothered visiting her out of shame.
"Abel!" Dahlia cheerfully greeted with a bright smile. "It’s been a while... Oh, my apologies!" She suddenly offered a curt bow as she added, "I heard you’re already a Chancellor. I’m so happy for you!"
"Lady Dahlia. I’m glad to see you so well," Abel greeted with a half smile.
He didn’t expect this, but Abel knew that sooner or later, he had to see Dahlia and talk to her. But now wasn’t the right time.
"You two should catch up..." Dani suddenly suggested with a smile. "I’ll be excusing myself then," she added as she quickly turned around to leave.
Abel frowned, and his expression dimmed knowing what Dani was trying to do right now. But before Dani could walk away, he quickly grabbed her by the wrist.
"Wait for me..." he firmly told her. He then turned to Dahlia and said, "Lady Dahlia, I’ll visit you one of these days so that the two of us can talk over some snacks like old times. For now, let me attend to my prior engagement."
"Of course. You two should go," Dahlia kindly nodded. "I have some duties to attend to as well anyway."
Abel smiled then interlocked his fingers with Dani’s as he then led the way for them to continue walking down the hallway. There was no way he would let her push him to Dahlia. He should make himself clear to Dani that it was her he was attracted to, and that he already set his eyes on no one but her!
