Chapter 444: Making Things Real

Abel felt like a man starved as he kissed her hungrily but gently. He wanted to savor every inch of her lips, and he could taste the mixture of the cheese and meat she just ate as he did his best to explore more of her mouth. Dani, like before, was unknowingly reciprocating his kiss, but it was obvious that she still didn’t know how.

Her innocence didn’t help the burning desire inside of him to subside at all. Instead, it only fueled his flames. He feverishly suckled on her lips before once again diving deep into her mouth and seeking her sweet tongue. He was so hard that he was dying to take things further, but he knew he shouldn’t do so now. Gathering his utmost strength to regain his control, Abel eventually managed to break the kiss and gently pull away from her.

He clicked his tongue in a slightly disapproving manner. "Tsk, I should really teach you how to reciprocate a kiss, Dani. But let’s save that lesson later for a more appropriate place and time. The next time, I might end up doing more than just kissing," Abel muttered with a hoarse breath.

The situation relatively diffused, he then urged Dani to eat some more as he tried to open a more productive conversation like the coming birthday of the Queen just so while calming himself and his crotch. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

"Right, we want to give her a surprise," Dani voiced out. "Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed that the king isn’t coordinating with us on this matter."

"I’m sure he’s doing things from the sidelines," Abel chuckled. "He probably tasked his Scion for it and will maybe call for you and all her friends soon to give you tasks for it."

"Why? Did the King already ask you about the Queen’s coming birthday?" Dani questioned.

"Well, not yet. I have a feeling that King Nikolai will handle it alone. I mean, he might want to become a hands-on husband for it and not involve anyone," he casually replied. "It’s obvious how much he adores and loves his wife, so I’m pretty sure he’s cooking something for her coming birthday. So you should just wait for it."

"I just hope you’re right," Dani remarked before finishing off her milk.

From there, they talked some more before Dani soon said, "Let’s go and have a walk."

Abel nodded as he promptly let Dani lead him for a walk around the Ebodian Streets.

Silence reigned between them, and Abel could see how Dani was zoning out so he broke the silence and asked, "So, since we have some time all to ourselves, what do you have in mind?"

"W-What?"

"This is your home, right?" Abel pointed out with a small smirk. "I’m the tourist here, so I’ll be looking at you for guidance."

"O-Oh, right," Dani responded. "I suppose this is one of the many market places in Ebodia. There’s a lot to be done here, really."

"I see. I’ll be looking forward to seeing them should you want to," he smiled. It had been a while since he strolled around the streets like this with someone.

"You should," she smugly replied. "This is my home, after all, and I know all of the good places that will give us some way to kill some time."

"I have a feeling you have more than that in mind," Abel pointed out with a smirk. "Nevertheless, I’ll follow your lead."

Dani returned the smirk at him, "Let me drag you to all of the good spots then."

Abel gulped when Dani suddenly grabbed his hand and led him to all the places she knew. He smiled as he moved his hand in a way that their fingers would interlock with each other. Her hand really felt nice and warm against his, and he didn’t want her to let go of his hand any time soon.

"Let’s buy everything you want," Abel urged her.

From there, he started buying some things whenever they stopped by a stall to try some of their products. Well, he would just have a small bite of whatever food they got and let Dani finish off the rest. She was smiling and chuckling more than usual, and Abel simply watched her enjoy herself visiting all the places she wanted.

"You really don’t feel like a daughter coming from a rich family," he chuckled. "You can walk through these streets like you own the place."

"I suppose that there’s some truth to that," she shrugged. "My father is a duke, after all."

"There’s something in simplicity though. It’s very much... simple. Not complicated," he pointed out. "There’s nothing to overcomplicate, which means less misunderstandings. Kind of like how there’s nothing stopping us from just going through with things."

Dani raised an eyebrow at his words. "Going through with what, exactly?"

"Why make things more complicated, no?" he smirked as he replied back with yet another answer. "We can make things real. After all, the best lies always had truth in them."

"I... don’t know what you’re implying," Dani murmured, and Abel could see in her eyes that she was simply acting dumb. "I know the principle in those words, but I don’t think lying needs to have some truth in them."

"Ah, but you still agree, right?" Abel smiled warmly at her, his body moving closer as he pulled her close to him. "There’s always a chance for lies to be seen through, but one that is closer to the truth will always pass scrutiny." He then held her by the chin as he turned her head to face her.

"Dani, I have full intentions of making things real," he seriously stated. "While it started out as a lie, perhaps this is one that we can turn into reality. That way, we don’t have to lie any more in the first place."

It was then that Abel simply found a good opportunity to talk about their relationship. He had been agonizing over it for days on how he should word things for Dani to take him seriously. He felt relieved that he finally managed to tell her what he was thinking.
