The Crown's Seduction-Chapter 446: Under Her Spell
Chapter 446: Under Her Spell
Another day came by, and this time, Dani with Abel traveled to the Stewart Manor by carriage to attend Krisha’s wedding. Quietly, they sat opposite to her friend, and Dani could feel what Abel was feeling based on how his eyes lingered on her despite her looking straight out the window.
Up until now, Dani still hadn’t given him an answer about making things between them real. She was still mulling on it even when she already knew that the answer she wanted to give him was a simple yes. And yet she still didn’t want to say that word yet. She wanted to see how long his patience for her would last.
"Stop staring," she murmured with a pout.
"I can’t," Abel smirked. "You look so alluring today."
Dani gulped the moment she turned to Abel, seeing how intensely he was practically gawking at her. It was probably because of the dress she was currently wearing that her mother picked out for her that day.
It was an olive green dress that flatteringly hugged her figure, while her red hair was arranged into a braided low bun with loose dazzling curls. She had also applied a little makeup that made her more lovely, all so that she could look more radiant for her friend’s special occasion.
Hiding her embarrassment, Dani quickly countered with a raised brow. "Do you mean that I look plain before?" she scoffed. She couldn’t help but wonder how Abel would answer that.
"Of course, not," Abel cheekily smiled. "You’re beautiful and adorable, but you’re even more alluring today."
Dani immediately regretted ever asking such a question. She could only assume that she looked like a ripened tomato right now from how hard she was blushing. In response, he leaned in closer and touched her cheek.
"Are you alright?" he asked in his seductive voice, and quickly, Dani felt like his tantalizing eyes were hypnotizing her. "Did you already think about it?" he further asked, leaning so closely to her that one wrong bump from the carriage would make their lips touch.
"I... I’m still thinking," she simply answered.
Abel let out a long sigh. "Alright, take your time."
She almost wanted to protest when Abel went back to his seat. She thought he would kiss her right then, but he didn’t. freёweɓnovel.com
’Men like challenges...’
Zaila’s words often rang like an alarm for her, so she planned to continue delaying her answer to him since she believed that they had enough time in the world to keep pushing things back. Besides, it wasn’t like she was in a rush. She wanted Abel to be solidly emotionally invested in her before anything else. For her, they could only make things real if Abel opened up his heart to her.
’I wonder if I’m doing this right,’ Dani inwardly thought.
For now, she could only observe the situation and act accordingly. She would probably have to change her approach to things if she saw no progress, however.
"Will your brother Atlas attend today?" Abel broke the silence between them with another question.
"He won’t,t but he’ll be arriving tonight to attend our wedding tomorrow," Dani commented. She then turned to him and asked, "Have you talked to Dahlia yet?"
She was truly curious about it, but she didn’t bother asking him or Dahlia about it till now for some reason. She was still insecure when it came to Dahlia, but it had at least subsided when Abel told her that he wasn’t in love with Rosela and that what he felt for her was more like a sense of responsibility.
Back in reality, Dani almost flinched when Abel suddenly moved. The next thing she knew, she was already on his lap with him cradling her in his arms. "Didn’t I warn you that you’ll get your punishment if you bring up Dahlia?"
Dani frowned as she defended, "But I just asked if you already talked to her."
"Well, I’m just reminding you," he chuckled. "I’ll just cradle you like this so that I can get a hold of you."
"Now, you’re just taking advantage of me," Dani accused, but Abel simply ignored her. As expected, he didn’t let her go. But instead, he further buried his face into the crook of her neck.
"I already talked to Dahlia, and I’m glad that she’s doing well. I apologized for my incompetence in watching over their family, and Dahlia is such a good woman that she told me none of it was my fault," he explained. "She said that I shouldn’t burden myself anymore with their family’s affairs since they weren’t my responsibility anymore. She just wants me to be freed from whatever ties I still believed I had to their family."
"She was right," Dani quickly seconded. "You’ve been looking after their family for generations already. That’s more than enough." There was a pause before she firmly added, "Also, since you’ll be married to me and want this relationship to become real, I have some conditions for you. One of those is that you have to cut ties with the Benett Family from now on. I will only allow you to help them if you really want to and it’s necessary, but you must stop the mindset of being responsible for them."
There was another deafening silence that followed, and Dani had mixed emotions from the discussion they were having right now and with how Abel’s lips were starting to nudge on her skin. She then gulped with how he started gently peppering her neck and shoulder blade with light kisses as if teasing her. He was making her feel so aroused that she ended up biting her lower lip. Tingling sensations crawled all over her body, and it felt weird in the sense that she wanted Abel to stop, but not stop at the same time.
"Dani, do you know that you have all the power in the world over me right now?" Abel hoarsely muttered against the skin on her neck. "I’m under your spell, I’ll submit to anything you want if you really want to."
Dani shivered the moment she felt his tongue lick and suckle on her, and it made her act immediately. "Stop this instant."
With a quick command using her spell, she told him the exact opposite of what she wanted. She felt like she was losing her breath with Abel’s torturous attack on her, and right then, she suddenly fell into a bad mood because of how he had just pointed out that he was still under her spell.
