Chapter 477: Chapter 477- It’s Good To Be Myself For Today

Mar-Dule looked at Sol with regret overflowing in his teary eyes. Meanwhile, Sol’s thoughts became stagnant for a moment. He immediately understood why Mar-Dule was so panicking, but what should he do?

"Sol, Hua-yin’s inside. She’s asking if I saw Elder Hyun-joon when I was in Pearl City." ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

Sol’s breath hitched in his throat, but Mar-Dule hurriedly added.

"But I didn’t say anything because this relates to your secret bloodline... However, if she’s asking me, that means she has suspicions that I might know, right? Maybe she even figured out I was directly involved in her disappearance. If that’s the case and I told her I don’t know... Sol, what should I do? What should I say to her? I don’t want to reveal your secrets, but I don’t want to break up with Hua-yin over this either."

After saying this, Mar-Dule lowered his head, afraid to meet Sol’s gaze.

Sol took a deep breath and calmed his emotions.

"How long has she been waiting?"

"I... After she asked me about Elder Hyun-joo, I made up an excuse to leave and then sent you a message. I have been waiting here for you ever since."

Sol’s brain worked and calculated that Hua-yin had been waiting for about twelve minutes.

That was too long.

Sol’s face suddenly became determined as he said.

"Let’s go inside."

"Wha-What? Sol, what are we going to say? How are we going to explain this to her?"

Mar-Dule became nervous as Sol began pulling him towards the house.

With the same determined expression on his face, Sol said firmly.

"My father said that if there is something you find difficult to tell someone, then it’s something you have to say straightforwardly. We’ll tell her what happened, and as for the consequences, you weren’t involved. I was the one who killed Elder Hyun-joo, so all the blame is on me."

Mar-Dule hesitated upon hearing that, but Sol’s grip as he dragged him forward was strong and his steps firm as he weaved his way through the house. It didn’t take long for Sol to find the room Hua-yin was in using his omniscient senses.

Sol paused at the door leading into the room, but it was only for a moment, and he immediately pushed the door open and stepped inside with Mar-Dule.

Sol was in such a rush because he didn’t trust himself to think too deeply about this. His brain was too good at coming up with ideas to avoid what he should face head-on.

After Sol entered the room, his gaze immediately fell onto the figure that was sitting at a table that was by the window.

For a moment, Sol’s solemnity faltered at the sight of this girl. She was way too stunning!

The sunlight from the window shone on her side profile and long black hair as she gazed outside. She wore this white dress that cascaded down from the chair and almost brushed against the ground. Her feet under the table were bare, showing off her pale white skin.

Sol’s heart was moved, and the name people outside gave this girl surfaced in his mind.

The Dark Fairy.

He couldn’t help but think this name suited her because she indeed resembled a fairy. As she sat there, she looked ethereal and mysterious.

For a moment, Sol even thought she was about to float away through the window and ascend to the heavens. Only Mar-Yue and Yoon-jae had ever given him this feeling upon their first meeting.

However, as usual, his mother’s beauty was ahead of them.

Sol was quick to come to his senses and he walked towards the table. Meanwhile, he reached out to Abdu inside his Heavenly Samsara Formation.

’Little Abdu, do you still have the corpse of the person I killed in Pearl City?’

’Yes, why?’

Sol explained the situation, and Abdu responded right after.

’That’s unfortunate. The body was preserved well in my Heavenly Palace despite the abyssal poison so it can be returned to her.’

This conversation happened almost instantaneously, and it ended before Sol stopped at the table. Hua-yin turned to him, and her beautiful face lit up with a warm smile.

"Brother Sol, it’s good to see you once again."

Sol opened his mouth to respond but paused. He wasn’t sure when he had met Hua-yin, he would have surely remembered if he did.

Hua-yin, seeing his confusion explained.

"I was disguised as a regular disciple of the Dual Cultivation Pavilion back then so perhaps don’t recognize me."

Upon hearing that familiar Pavilion’s name, Sol recalled his first encounter with that place and almost immediately he understood Hua-yin’s words.

Blushing slightly, Sol smiled and said.

"Sister-in-law, it’s good to see you again."

After saying that, Sol hesitated for a moment then said.

"I came here because of the matter with Elder Hyun-joo."

Hua-yin still wore a smile, but she glanced at Mar-Dule who stood off to the side with his head lowered. He tried to appear small, but his tall, shirtless frame did not allow his wishes to come true. Turning back to Sol, Hua-yin sighed and said.

"Brother Sol, I knew she died in Pearl City as her life-bound jade slip in the Emei Sect’s Elders Hall had shattered. I also won’t ask why, or how she was killed, I just need to return her body to the Sect if there are any remains of her and offer her a proper burial."

Upon hearing this, Sol paused. He was planning on explaining everything that happened in Pearl City, but he didn’t expect Hua-yin to say this.

Mar-Dule was surprised as well, and it showed in his eyes as he looked up at Hua-yin. Hua-yin turned to look at him and said with a frown.

"Why are you so surprised? Do you think I would have gotten angry and broken up with you if I found out you were involved in my cousin’s death? In the cultivation world who can say there won’t come a time where they face death? If one is weak, it’s natural that one would die when that time comes."

Mar-Dule bit his lips, and he hurriedly wiped his unshed tears.

Hua-yin pouted her lips at this and got up. After approaching Mar-Dule she moved his hand and personally wiped his tears.

"Look how red your eyes are becoming, hurry up and stop crying."

"I’m sorry, I didn’t know she was your cousin."

Hua-yin sighed at Mar-Dule’s words.

"I knew you would react like this if I asked about Cousin Hyun-joo, but the Sect wanted to know what happened to her so I couldn’t delay it anymore. Don’t worry, even though Hyun-joo is my aunt’s granddaughter, we weren’t that close when I was growing up. She hardly came back to the Sect after she left, and she left before I was adopted by my mother."

Mar-Dule held Hua-yin’s hands rubbing his eyes, but he couldn’t help but ask her after hearing her words.

"But how did you know I was involved in her death? Does the Emei Sect know too?"

Hua-yin shook her head.

"The Sect suspects it was the doing of the Church based on the description of the person by Pearl City’s City Leader. One of the few suspects is actually your new friend Cian, but he was ruled out since he hadn’t come to the continent when she died. As for how I knew you were the one involved instead, I recalled that Cousin Hyun-joo had received a treasure of the Demonic Cult from Mother."

"But... I’m not related to the Forgotten Sect."

Mar-Dule looked at Hua-yin with a confused expression. However, Hu-yin smiled and said while turning to Sol.

"Yes, but you were friends with Brother Sol, and Brother Sol has friends who are from the Forgotten Sect. I knew you would bring him here after I asked about Cousin Hyun-joo."

Sol hesitated, but he eventually waved his hand and made Elder Hyun-joo’s body appear in front of him.

Hua-yin glanced down at her distant cousin and without a change in expression she waved her hand and collected her corpse. Looking up at Sol, she smiled and said.

"Brother Sol, rest assured, I am the only one who knows your involvement with the Forgotten Sect. As for your other secrets Duly was afraid of revealing, there’s no intelligence in the Emei Sect’s about them either."

Sol wanted to ask how she knew he was connected to the Forgotten Sect but stopped himself. He suspected it had something to do with the City Leader and the Yang Celestial Stone.

It was likely that the City Leader made a description of Dae Han, and from that it wasn’t hard to find that Dae Han was connected to him if one paid close attention to who he interacted with. Hua-yin wasn’t paying attention to him specifically, but she was paying attention to Mar-Dule and Mar-Dule was always with him.

As for how Hua-yin knew Elder Hyun-joo’s death was related to the Forgotten Sect and subsequently Dae Han, that was where the founding treasure of the Forgotten Sect, the Yang Celestial Stone, comes into the picture.

However, this was all speculation, Sol could be completely wrong.

Suddenly, Sol realized that the girl in front of him was extremely intelligent. Even for him, it was hard to figure out her thoughts.

However, Sol smiled before cupping his fist toward Hua-yin and saying.

"Sister-in-law, thank you for forgiving me, but I’d still like to apologize by gifting you some wine I brewed. Also, we were planning on heading over to Ushi’s mansion; I wonder if you would like to join us?"

"Young Master Ushi’s mansion? The one near the Ocean?"

Hua-yin’s eyes slightly lit up in curiosity, and Sol nodded with a smile.

Hua-yin then wore a thoughtful expression for a moment, however, she soon smiled and nodded.

"Okay, I’ve always been someone else going out, it’s good to be myself for today. I’ll also get to meet your friends, Duly."

Hua-yin turned to look at Mar-Dule as she said that.

Mar-Dule who had been smiling, suddenly had a gloomy look overcome his face when he recalled something.

"Hua-yin, make sure you avoid that bastard, Ushi."

"Hm? Why is that?"

"Well... He’s a pervert, so be careful around him."

Hua-yin looked confused at that, but she still nodded slowly.

After that, the three made their way outside to meet up with the others.
