The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 483- Dawn Of Darkness
Chapter 483: Chapter 483- Dawn Of Darkness
At the edge of the Miura Clan’s floating island, the carrier flying treasures that brought the participating youths to the Land of Shadows were nowhere to be seen. What replaced them in this airspace were several floating platforms made of clouds that were hundreds of meters wide.
There were roads made of clouds led from the island towards these fancy platforms, and disciples were moving from the island to these platforms using them.
The Mortal Realm disciples had to settle for walking while looking up in the sky as the disciples in the Spiritual Realm casually passed by over their heads and elegantly landed on the cloud platforms. Of course, most of them came prepared to possibly face Spiritual Realm cultivators so they carried flying treasures with them to use, however, to take them out now and use them would be too embarrassing.
It wasn’t stated but each force participating in this tournament had a cloud platform for themselves. Well, only the top powers had a cloud platform for themselves while the smaller Sects and Clans were mingling together on a few.
The tournament hadn’t even started yet but there was already a divide among the participants. However, the smaller Sects and Clans didn’t seem to mind as it seemed they’d already formed an alliance of some sort.
But one thing to be mentioned was that not all of the top powers had disciples participating in this tournament. The Wudang Sect wasn’t participating, for obvious reasons, and the Miura Clan for not-so-obvious reasons.
It didn’t take long for more than half of the dozen or so platforms here to be filled with disciples as noon approached. When it eventually reached noon, all of the participating disciples were gathered on the cloud platforms. They had received messages via their Shadowbands that they should arrive before noon to enter the Shadow Dimension. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
As the cloud platforms were all filled, the few Mortal Realm disciples at the edges couldn’t help but look over. When they saw Lunar City below them, which was the size of their palms, they nervously gulped down a lump of saliva. Even though they weren’t scared of falling since a few guards of the Miura Clan were monitoring each cloud platform while they had their own flying treasure, it still made their hearts palpitate from being so high up.
It was likely due to this that the Spiritual Realm disciples of each faction on the cloud platforms put their Mortal Realm disciples in the middle while they stood at the edge.
However, while some disciples’ hearts were palpitating from fear, some of the Mortal Realm disciples were actually crouching down and gathering up a handful of clouds. The more sensible disciples had to smack them over the head at their stupidity. Even though the formation that gathered these clouds was extremely powerful that even the intense winds couldn’t disperse them, that didn’t mean they should test their stability.
The cloud platform of the Alchemy Pavilion was somewhat in the middle of all the platforms. To their left was the Runes and Formation Pavilion, or rather the Barbarian Race cloud platform led by the solemn Mar-Dule, and to the right was the Western Continent’s Royal Families cloud platform where the nonchalant Altair and the indifferent Quilt were.
The cloud platform in front and behind them was of note as well. The one in front was occupied by the Seven Great Churches, with the charismatic Althorne at the head, while the cloud platform behind them was filled with the members of the Jeagal Clan, led by the calm Dae-hyun and the shadowy Wei-sun a step behind him.
At the front of the cloud platform the Alchemy Pavilion disciples were on Sol, Woo-seong, Cian, Yoon-jae, and Ushi could be seen standing next to each other.
Ushi leaned forward and addressed Cian across Yoon-jae.
"So, you really aren’t going to join your Church? Don’t you feel upset?"
Ushi pointed forward as he said that.
The distance between each cloud platform was only a few meters so some members of the Church seemed to have heard Ushi as they turned around. When they saw Cian, a complicated expression appeared on their faces. It was obvious that not everyone among the Church members loyally followed Althorne, it was just that they were in enemy territory and Althorne was confidently representing their Seven Great Churches.
Meanwhile, Cian on the other hand was strangely going around trying to form ties with their enemies and had even made friends with some of them. Was he trying to allow these outsiders to infiltrate their Church? As it stands now, they would rather follow Althorne while they’re on the Eastern Continent.
After glancing at Cian, the youths turned away.
Among these youths was Arwin. Sol smiled and waved at him when he turned around.
Arwin ignored the looks the other members gave and returned Sol’s smile while giving a slight nod.
Cian looked calm as he responded to Ushi’s question.
"It doesn’t really matter if they choose not to follow me now. When I become the Cardinal, they’ll eventually have to follow me then."
Ushi couldn’t help but chuckle at Cian’s confidence.
"Well, I wish you good luck in that endeavor."
"What about your Clan? Why don’t you join them? In fact, I don’t think I’ve seen them gathered here."
Woo-seong leaned his head forward as he asked.
Sol, Yoon-jae, and Cian looked at Ushi as they were wondering about this as well. However, Ushi’s expression turned sour, and he uncharacteristically muttered under his breath.
"I don’t want to talk about it."
Sol and the others seeing this chose not to ask further.
But suddenly, Ushi’s expression changed, and his hand shot up to touch his bloodline tattoo on his forehead. He then squinted his eyes as he looked up at the sun.
Yoon-jae next to him saw his sudden actions and asked.
"What is it?"
Ushi was silent for a beat before he said with a bit of eagerness in his voice.
"It’s happening... Dawn of Darkness."
"Hm?"
Sol at the other end of the group suddenly felt his Holy Crest trembling and he reached up to touch his forehead. He too looked up at the sun with squinted eyes.
’My Holy Crest is being suppressed?’
Sol asked internally, completely shocked after coming to this conclusion.
’Sol, let me see what’s happening outside.’
Abdu’s voice was suddenly heard inside his head, and Sol loosened his control over his Heavenly Samsara Formation allowing Abdu to use it to view the outside world.
’What’s happening?’
Little Zeel’s voice was also heard.
Abdu had been cultivating all this while and Little Zeel thought he would accompany him and do the same. However, after all this while of silence from Abdu, he suddenly woke up startling him.
’Little Abdu what’s happening?’
Sol also asked as the disciples began to chatter. They had also sensed the change in the atmosphere, but rather than looking up, they were looking around wondering what was causing this change.
’It’s a heavenly phenomenon called a Lunar Eclipse.’
Came Abdu’s response.
