Chapter 205: Rafael’s lover (2)

"I am a little bit hurt by the fact that I was ready to be your friend and you wanted to kill me all this time. Why did you want to kill me?" Annalise asked Olivia who sat before her. "More importantly, who were you working for? I have not forgotten you said there is someone I had to meet."

Rafael had managed to catch Olivia and pulled her back to where Annalise was to find out the reason she was stalking them and then tried to hurt Annalise.

Olivia looked down at the ground. She couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that she might be dead here since Rafael saw her trying to kill his lover. He wasn’t going to let her go and she honestly didn’t know if him possibly letting her go would be a good thing.

Olivia would have to hide from Travis since she had taken some money from him. She couldn’t give back what she already spent and she did not want to face a man like him after failing to do what he asked of her. The man who hired her warned her of Travis’s temper.

"Talk," Rafael said, not in the mood for the silence right now. "Do you want me to take you back to the manor and use my ways to get someone to talk? The hot metal on skin, hungry rats, whips-"

"I attacked her because she’s your lover," Olivia answered, deciding to take a chance with Rafael instead of Travis. She was already in pain from the wound created by his arrow and did not want to go through any torture.

"Oh, wonderful. Another woman who loves you is targetting me," Annalise muttered, walking away from Olivia. "I am not his lover so there is no need for all of you to be so jealous to want me dead."

"I don’t love him. I was only doing my job. I would never mingle with men like him!" Olivia spat, looking up at Rafael who was just another bastard who had life easy. She liked taking jobs like these as a way of making the wealthy suffer. freēwēbnovel.com

Rafael had everything he wanted, so for someone like her who had to work for what she wanted, it was fun to take something away from him. She didn’t like Travis, but he paid her enough to get rid of her hatred for another wealthy man.

"Who hired you to go after Annalise?" Rafael asked. He had quite a few enemies in town now.

"Travis Norman," Olivia revealed. "He needed someone to go inside your manor to check for your lover."

Annalise turned around to face Olivia, trying to place who the man was. "I have never heard that name before. Why would a stranger be targeting me? Is he one of your enemies, Rafael?"

"By blood, he is my uncle. A man who doesn’t know when to stop. Tell me everything you know and I will just imprison you instead of killing you-"

"You are to take me to the town guards for what I did," Olivia said as it is what would normally be done to intruders.

Rafael laughed, amused by how she thought she could tell him what to do when they were standing on land that was given to him. "You are on my land. I can do whatever I want to intruders on my land. He keeps wasting people who he doesn’t care if they are disposed of. You will spend your future days living under the manor."

"I did not get to hurt her and she claims to not be your lover so you have no reason to keep me here. Hand me over to the town guards. I will accept my punishment there," Olivia answered.

Hiding in the cells of the town guards was better than being with Rafael or Travis. She had escaped the town guard’s hold a few times to not be worried about the years they would give to her for trying to hurt Annalise.

Rafael did not answer Olivia since he did not need to. He didn’t need to explain anything to his new captive. He was starting to wonder if his uncle wanted to annoy them by sending people who got caught easily.

"Since she tried to kill me, how about I torture her?" Annalise asked.

Next, she would like to go after Travis Norman for hiring someone to take her. If he wanted her dead or wanted to take her from Rafael’s manor, he should come do it himself. It just so happened that there was a greater fight waiting for her.

"It is only fair that I get to take part in her torture since she wanted to kill me," Annalise said, shrugging her shoulders. "If you don’t mind me asking, I thought it was just you and your parents. Where did this uncle come from?"

Rafael began to gather their things since he could not take part in the hunt until he found someone to take Olivia to the dungeon. "It is just me and my parents. Do you want to join us and make the family bigger?"

"Rafael, I’m going to start seeing you as I did with Logan. Do you want to be flipped on your ass?" Annalise asked, not caring what Jonah’s words really meant. She preferred the answer she came up with.

"Yes," Rafael answered. "I have a private space where you can flip me. What time would you like to do it?"

Olivia closed her eyes, hoping it would help close her ears so she wouldn’t have to hear more of them speaking to each other. Annalise was quite the liar. Just sitting here and being forced to listen to this when she wanted to escape, Olivia knew that the two were together, but trying to hide it. Annalise spoke so much about the fate of mistresses only to be heading to be in that position.

Meanwhile, Annalise continued to stare at Rafael in disbelief that he would find a space to let her flip him.

"Are you one of those people who secretly enjoy pain? I won’t take part in any wild fantasies you have. How could your response be that you would find me a space to do it? Are you ill?" Annalise asked, walking over to him, and then tiptoed to feel his forehead. "You are not physically sick so maybe you are sick in the head," she concluded.

"No touching right now, Annalise. We need to take her to someone and then we will return to the hunt. If you can find a way to avoid the trouble that comes your way, I will let you take charge in shooting arrows at the rabbits we find. Only if the time we spent taking her away is peaceful," Rafael proposed.

After ruining her fun, he had to find something else for her to do or he would forever hear that he stole her chance to fight someone.

Annalise didn’t know if it was possible for her to avoid trouble since the manor had nothing but trouble. Still, she could keep a careful watch of their surroundings. "You mustn’t go back on your word. I will surprise you with how good of a hunter I am. We should have made this a competition to see who could bring back the most animals. I would win-"

"We would win," Rafael corrected her. "We’re in the same group."

"Right, right," Annalise nodded her head. "Come Olivia. We need to take you to your new room so I can use a bow and arrows."

"Lucky you," Olivia muttered, annoyed by Annalise’s happiness.
