Chapter 618: The mysterious call ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

Elliana didn’t use her magic this time to reach where Prince Angelo was.

Even though she was feeling impulsive and wanted to go and help Glow, she held back for the first time.

"What are you thinking about?" Nathaniel asked Elliana, standing at some distance from the royal cottage.

They left the royal cottage some time ago. It was more like a teleportation that Nathaniel performed for her so she wouldn’t have to waste her Magna on this stuff.

"I am feeling uneasy," Elliana said out of the blue, and Azura immediately looked at her husband before stepping forward and holding her daughter’s hand.

"Uneasy? What do you mean by uneasy? What’s wrong?" She asked, and Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line.

She didn’t know how to express it.

There was this weird ache in her heart. It has been like this from the moment she found out that her death date had been shifted closer after that mark appeared on her abdomen, which almost looked like the siren powers inside her were feeding on her body slowly, making her weak and unstable from inside.

"Just uneasy," Elliana stopped at that, and Azura sighed.

They were confused about Elliana’s absence of action. Under normal circumstances, she would’ve already used her magic to save that vampire woman, whom she calls one of her people.

So it definitely fascinated them and worried them at the same time. They were worried that something was wrong with Elliana and was hiding the pain behind her smiles.

"I want to go back to the royal cottage," Elliana expressed, and Nathaniel hummed.

"Why? Do you feel -"

"It feels like this isn’t just about calling Elliana there. It’s almost like a trap," King Eros said for the first time since they moved out of the royal cottage, and Azura and Nathaniel looked at him for further clarification.

"Is that why you are not directly going to the man to save that woman?" King Eros asked his daughter, neglecting the curious gaze of the other two.

Elliana nodded softly.

"I feel like this is a trap, but I am not able to pinpoint exactly how. Prince Angelo knows about my powers to some extent. Azrael is already locked, and according to Ari, Arizona is under Azrael’s maze trap. Then who else is powerful enough to help Prince Angelo in capturing me?" Elliana asked as she remembered Azrael’s smug face when she had gone to meet her last time.

"Someone is helping them for sure. But it’s hard to find out exactly who," Elliana said before she looked at her father, who placed his hand on her shoulders.

"Leave it to me," He said confidently, and Elliana furrowed her brows.

"Hmm?" She looked at him, confused.

"Didn’t you tell us that King Sebastian had been looking for his brother too, and the only reason he couldn’t do so was that he was wearing some kind of anti-locator that Azrael made for him? This is our chance to get hold of that prince too. We couldn’t locate him, but we can surely locate that woman," King Eros said.

Elliana’s pupils dilated a little bit when she heard her father’s words.

She didn’t think of it like that.

However, her happiness was short-lived. Even if they caught him, what were the chances that the royals would intervene and make their work harder?

Elliana was about to ask her father if there was a way to find out about Duke Marcello because she couldn’t feel him when she heard her phone vibrating.

She looked at her phone and furrowed her brows. It was in airplane mode.

It was strange. She didn’t remember herself doing so.

But wait.

If her phone was on airplane mode, how did this call go through?

Elliana picked up the call, already knowing something was fishy with it.

"I can make your life a living hell," The woman’s voice on the other side said, and Elliana’s body froze in its place.

It c-couldn’t be.

Elliana was so shocked to hear the voice that she forgot to speak, and the woman on the other side smirked.

"What happened, dear Elliana? Cat got your tongue? Or can you not hear me?" The woman said.

Seeing the shocked look on her daughter’s face, Azura took the phone from Elliana’s hand and was about to put it near her ears when her eyes widened as she saw Elliana’s right ear bleeding profusely.

"Elliana!" Azura shouted, immediately catching King Eros’s attention, who rushed to his daughter and placed his hand on her ears.

He chanted some spells to quickly lessen the effect as he looked at his wife and indicated to her to see who called their daughter and chanted such harmful spells in her ears to hurt her.

"Who the heck are you?! What did you do to my daughter? Talk to me," Azura said, her motherly instincts taking over as she lost control of her emotions.

Hearing no reply from the other side, Azura felt even more agitated.

Elliana, who was feeling hurt earlier, snatched the phone from her mother’s hand and placed it back near her wounded ears.

"You are going to regret this. I gave you one chance to go through your deeds and ask for redemption because of what you went through, but you missed this chance. Now, don’t blame me for going hard on you. I am already dying, but I will make sure that I take you down with myself. What you are doing is all because of this feeling of revenge in your heart, no? Congratulations, because I have had enough. Now you will see the wrath of another vengeful person," Elliana said before she ended the call and removed her phone from airplane mode.

"You recognised the person? Who was it, Elliana?" Azurs asked, and Elliana gritted her teeth.

"I will be able to give you a definite answer after I confirm something, Mom," Elliana said before she called Lucas.

Lucas looked at his boss going haywire through the rearview mirror and furrowed his brow when he saw the Princess calling him instead of their King.

"Hmm," He whispered, wanting to know what was the matter first.

"Did something happen back at the caves where we locked Azrael?" Elliana asked immediately.

Her family members looked at each other. They weren’t fools to not understand the hint.

"Should I go and check the area myself?" Nathaniel was the first one to offer, and Elliana shook her head.

"No. If she has indeed gotten out, I want all of you to be on alert all the time. She will go to any lengths to get to me and get what she wants. She will come to the people I care about first," Elliana said, and Nathaniel hummed in understanding, remembering how hard it was to get their father out of her traps.

"Nothing happened, Princess. What’s wrong?" Lucas asked, and as soon as Sebastian heard him say ’Princess’, his gaze shifted to Lucas, and he snatched the phone from his hand.

"Princess?" Sebastian asked.

"Mr. Mari-"

"Where the hell are you? Why was your phone not reachable? Even Nathaniel wasn’t reachable. Do you have any idea how worried I was? How are you? No one dared to touch you, right? Tell me, princess!" Sebastian roared at the last sentence, and Elliana’s heart skipped a beat as she read the suppressed concern behind his anger, and she sighed.

"What happened?" She rather asked, and Sebastian gritted his teeth before he told her everything about what Prince Stephano told him about the attack.

Elliana hummed.

"I am fine, Mr. Marino. Come to the gardens near the royal cottage. That’s where we all are. Regarding who picked up your call, I think I know who did. Most probably, the witch didn’t go anywhere near your men but just used her magic to divert the call to herself and answer it," Elliana said before looking at Nathaniel.

"Can you go to the southern suburbs to help Prince Stephano’s men?" She asked, and Nathaniel didn’t waste a single second in leaving the place.

"Did you find Duke Marcello?" Elliana asked, and Sebastian looked at the car moving ahead of them.

They indeed found Duke Marcello, but -

"He is barely alive. We have given him some blood and herbs to have him survive until we take him to the hospital. I am not sure if he will be able to make it," Sebastian said, much calmer.

"He will have to make it. I will send my mom there to help you guys," Elliana said before she looked at her mother, who pressed her lips into a thin line.

She didn’t really want to leave her daughter alone after what just happened, but faced with her daughter and knowing the severity of the situation, she was left with no choice and nodded.

"You know what, Mr. Marino, I will come directly home after some time. Wait for me and arrange for a cell for your brother in the meantime. It’s high time he gets captured for his sins. Also..."

"Also?" Sebastian asked.

"I love you," Elliana whispered, a soft smile appearing on her face when she remembered her father was standing beside her, who cleared his throat.

A smile appeared on Sebastian’s face, his raging heart finally calming down.

"Be good and take care of yourself. Remember, every scratch on your body will make me dismember my brother’s limb," Sebastian said, and Elliana smiled at his peculiar way of threatening her.
