The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 630: Embrace reality
Chapter 630: Embrace reality
"What did you do?" Azura asked Elliana as soon as they reached back home after sorting out things in the white witch kingdom.
Elliana didn’t answer anyone and just looked at her husband as if he was the only one whose opinion mattered to her.
"Azura," King Eros shook his head at her.
Azura wanted to object, but she finally noticed the look on Elliana’s face and she bit her tongue, holding her words back.
"What happened?" Luscious, who had been waiting for their arrival with Elliana, looked at his granddaughter, whose expression wasn’t too good.
"Two witches died, mom. And we don’t know how many more would die because of your sister’s evil plottings. I understand that a war is a big decision, but at least that way we would be able to end this for once and all. Do you think it is acceptable that people keep dying one after the other for your sister’s selfishness?" Elliana asked and Azura scowled.
Sebastian looked at his wife and without waiting he held her hand in a tight grip.
"I hope everyone’s intelligent enough to not follow us," Sebastian didn’t waste a single second as he pulled her out of their room and took her to the second floor, straight into the guest room.
He locked the door before forcing her to stand in front of him.
"Mr. Marino, what is it-"
"Do you really think I am worthy of something, or am I just a husband of convenience?" He asked, his words shocking her.
"Could you really not ask me before announcing such a big thing? Do I hold no importance in your eyes?" Sebastian said, his voice was hard and cold.
Elliana stood there, frozen in her place as she saw animosity in his eyes for herself for the first time.
"Mr. Marino, I wanted to -"
"No, Elliana! I want no explanation, just a simple answer to my question," Sebastian asked.
Elliana’s eyes brimmed with tears when Sebastian called her by her name and didn’t use his nickname for her. Her heart ached and she felt a loss of words.
It was her mistake. She was thinking of consulting her husband before making such a major decision, but at that time, she didn’t know what came over her so she made the deal and announced it in front of everyone just like that.
"I... I am sorry," Elliana looked down at her feet.
She had no explanation of what she did. It was wrong, and she understood it very well. War wasn’t fought single-handedly, and it will include and impact the vampire kingdom too.
Mr. Marino was the king of the kingdom, and naturally, he should’ve been the first person she should’ve consulted.
"Do you think your sorry is going to make everything alright? I am here trying everything in my power to keep you safe, and you here are taking every opportunity from my hands. Why are you putting yourself in front of danger deliberately? Everyone has someone to rely on, but you are the only one for me. What will I do if something happens to you in that war? Why can’t you think of me too?" Sebastian raised his voice.
Elliana, who was looking down at her feet, raised her gaze and looked at her husband, shock clear in her eyes.
So he was angry because she initiated the war and was going to fight in it as the leader, but not because she didn’t ask him?
"I..."
"Why are you snatching yourself away from me?" Sebastian asked before he ruffled his hair in anger and frustration as he felt like nothing was going his way anymore.
He wanted to destroy it all. He wanted his beast to destroy all those witches who were making things hard for him and his wife, but was it really possible without a bloodbath that might affect his wife indirectly?
Elliana’s heart, which was beating fast in fear of making him angry, started to relax, and she sighed before stepping closer to him.
"We will come out of it alive. You taught me how to believe in yourself and work harder to get what you want. If you are true and your intentions are good, even the gods help you achieve it," Elliana said before she placed her head on his chest.
Sebastian didn’t calm down. He was far more raged at the idea of his wife getting hurt among all those witches and Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line, trying the only way she could distract him from the war and focus on herself.
"At least no one will disturb us for the next two weeks," Elliana said, placing her finger in the middle of his chest before she started trailing it down to his abs.
Sebastian looked at her with his dark eyes, unsure what she was playing at when she smiled and trailed her fingers further down, stopping right above the hem of his pants, and the man nearly growled at her.
"Seriously, Princess?!" Sebastian snarled, and the girl smiled back when she heard the nickname back.
"Please don’t be angry anymore. Your anger scares me," She pouted her lips, and he moved his hand through his hair frustratingly before he bent and captured her lips into a heated kiss.
He needed to deviate his anger and frustration somewhere, and this was the only way he could think of anymore.
Without wasting a second, he picked her up in his arms and threw her on the bed, making her widen her eyes when she realized where this was going.
"Mr. Marino, are you really going to have angry sex with me?" Elliana asked, looking at him with an innocent gaze, and the man glared at her.
He could see she was deliberately mouthing it.
"Yes, princess. I am going to have angry sex with you now. Now get into the position," he said.
"Which position?" Elliana asked him, keeping her innocent facade, knowing all too well his anger was melting slowly and dissipating.
"In the position where I can be the deepest inside you and teach you a lesson. You have been quite brazen these days," he growled at her attempts, her tricks long familiar to him.
Elliana smiled.
"And what if I say, I am in love with you, the kind of love that is more passionate and full of color? The kind of love that is more than just love,
The kind of love that breaks my sleep slumber and makes me sleep peacefully,
I am in love with you, the kind of love that the moon displays when it shines on the lake, and the kind of love when the sun peeps at you on the usual winter day.
What if I say, you are the wish that I asked from the shooting star, you are the last breath I would like to take, and the last person I want to lose and gain at the same time because it aches my heart to see how much I love you.
I don’t know what it is, but if it happened to you too, I am still in love more than you.
The one-of-a-kind, the one that happened with the moon, more than just passionate, more than just love. That kind of love," Elliana said to him, leaving him speechless.
He remembered his wish of asking her to say those same loving words to him that she always says to him, but had stopped speaking these days before he slept in his arms.
All his anger immediately melted and he sat on the bed, feeling emotional all of a sudden.
Elliana’s eyes softened and she hugged him from behind.
"Am I not getting the love I was promised just a couple of seconds ago?" She asked, and the man just shook his head.
"I won’t be able to live, Princess. I won’t be able to live without you," He said as if the realization was killing him slowly, and Elliana sighed.
"Why are you thinking about me leaving when I am in front of you? If you keep thinking about the negative things, when will you enjoy the positive things with me?" Elliana asked, and the man sighed, placing his forehead on hers.
"I am sorry. So where were we? Which position you were asking?" Sebastian asked before he tickled her, making her giggle slightly as he laid her on the bed.
"I am serious, Mr. Marino," Elliana whispered.
"Serious about what, Princess?" Sebastian asked.
"I love you," Elliana said before she locked her hands around his neck, pulling him close.
"Like this. I like it the most in this position. When your heart is beating in sync with mine, I can see the love in your eyes for me and kiss her," Elliana whispered softly, and the man smiled at her.
"Good. Because this is my favorite position too," Sebastian said before he kissed her passionately, forgetting about all their problems as they proceeded with their lovemaking.
They both knew their lives were going to take a major turn now, and they just needed to embrace the hardships while facing reality.
