The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 638: The machine
Chapter 638: The machine
"What did you guys want to talk about?" Elliana reached the white witch kingdom with her dad since her mom and half-brother were busy arranging things with other witches.
Prakrith and Karizana looked at each other as they contemplated who would tell Elliana the truth.
Elliana looked at the witches; their sour expression was a clear indication that whatever mishap they were talking about was something big, and she massaged her forehead.
"Are you not going to say anything? Look, I don’t have time to waste here. If you want to pretend to be mute, please spare me," Elliana stood from her seat and looked at her Dad, who glared at the five elemental witches.
Seeing no one initiating the conversation, Karizana sighed and stood from her place.
"Please be seated, Elliana. I will tell you everything that happened," Karizana said.
She told Elliana about how some dark witches were lurking over the white witch kingdom and they tried their best to protect the witches from getting attacked because they knew that those witches were looking for more Magna. They probably were trying to steal it from the witches after killing them.
Karizana explained how they had appointed the witches on different checkposts to prevent anything severe from happening but they were wrong.
That was just a trap set for them so Azura’s witches could steal the ultimate weapon that Arizona had created.
"Weapon? What kind of weapon?" Elliana asked, alert this time because she knew this weapon was surely quite powerful for Azura to try so many things to steal it.
Karizana took a deep shaky breath before she nodded her head.
She explained to Elliana everything that she knew about the weapon and how it was powerful enough to kill the strongest witches because it contained the evil soul magna of more than 1000 rogue vampires and normal vampires that were killed in the last battle they fought right after Sebastian’s crowning ceremony.
And it wasn’t just that. Arizona had also been collecting some witches’ magna for years and all the stones were placed in the same room as the weapon.
Though the stones were locked with a spell, it didn’t mean they didn’t leak energy, and that machine supposedly absorbed the energy.
To say Elliana was shocked would be an understatement. She stood there, looking at the witches as if waiting for them to tell her they were joking.
However, when they didn’t say anything like that, Elliana could see how they were screwed.
"So you guys are telling us that your stupidity caused this mishap and the opposing witches got a hold of one of the strongest weapons that can kill my daughter?" King Eros asked, his hatred for the elemental witches clear.
The five elemental witches looked down at their feet, slightly ashamed.
Elliana raised her hand for everyone to be quiet. It was becoming hard for her to process the information and she was minutes away from snapping at the witches who were older than her.
"What is the way to tackle this machine? I am sure there has to be something we can do to save things and still have the end result of the war in our favor," Elliana asked.
She looked at all the witches one by one, waiting for them to speak up. However, when they didn’t say anything, she gritted her teeth.
"You have got to be kidding me for real. Is there really no way out? This has to be some kind of sick joke. How is that possible? There is nothing in this world, no action in their world that doesn’t have a countering action already decided," Elliana said.
The witches looked at Prakrith, a clear indication for the witch to speak up and tell the girl the only solution.
"There is indeed a solution -" Prakrith started, and Elliana heaved a sigh of relief before nodding.
"Great. What is the solution?" She asked.
"A sacrifice," Prakrith said.
King Eros froze in his place when he realized the meaning behind this word.
"Have you lost your mind?" King Eros asked, and Prakrith looked at her feet.
"This is not a definite solution. But a sacrifice is the only solution either way," Prakrith said while Elliana looked between her dad and the witch, trying to understand what exactly it meant.
She knew the meaning of the word sacrifice, but... But what kind of sacrifice?
"There are only two ways and both ways are related to a sacrifice," Karizana said.
They explained how she needed to convert into a pure complete dark witch first and foremost.
To save the war, she needed to perform sacrificial magic which included the sacrifice of one of her closest members that are quite powerful too since it needed the sacrifice of a powerful witch.
But the catch was, that there was no guarantee that this would work completely and won’t impact the war.
The second way was that when the machine would be used in the war zone, someone of strong powers and potential needed to stand and take the blood from the machine. Depending on the powers, the attack might even burst the person into multiple pieces if not strong enough.
Elliana stumbled back slightly when she heard those words.
King Eros stepped ahead, wanting to hold her daughter, but she raised her hand to stop him from nearing her.
She couldn’t believe this. Every time...just every damn time she is trying her best to get hold of things, it’s because someone on their side makes mistakes like this they end up in tragedy once again.
And who has to suffer the most in this? Why can’t she experience some good peaceful days before her death?
Elliana blinked her eyes before she took a deep shaky breath.
"In that case, this would be the last time my family would be helping the white witch kingdom or any witch related to the kingdom. We will fight in the war to protect the morals and dignity of the white and dark witch kingdom altogether. But if we lose, just remember who will be the one to blame. I will announce this to the world myself," Elliana said before she turned around and left.
King Eros looked at the five witches who were left shocked by his daughter’s words.
"She is not serious, King Eros, right?" Kadakali asked.
King Eros suppressed his urge to scoff in their faces.
Look at them, worrying about their honor and name when they might not even be able to survive this horrific thing. Rather than repenting for their mistakes, they were actually shocked that someone they hurt her entire life wanted to cut ties with them.
He shook his head and left too. He needed to convey this message to his wife too along with his father so they could build new strategies to tackle this whatever machine was.
Arizona was never the technical type, but he knew who was.
It was all down to Nathaniel, his son who was more leaned towards this stuff. And didn’t Prakrith mention it was a failed prototype that Nathaniel had created and Arizona had told him that it was useless, but kept the model with her all the time just to be prepared for worst times like this.
King Eros didn’t waste a single second in reaching the Dark Witch kingdom. He looked at his wife who was instructing the witches about what kinds of groups she wanted to divide all the witches into so that she could start their individual powers training too.
He walked to his son, who was discussing something with his father on some kind of large map.
It was probably the description of the area where they were going to have the battle.
"Yes, we can hide some of our witches as a backup here. This and this spot will be good to give them a surprise attack from the sides. They will be relaxed seeing fewer people on our side and won’t be that serious. Once we see that they are slightly lowering their guards, we will apply this strategy," Nathaniel said and Luscious nodded.
"It would be good. I will give you more pointers after I visit that place and see everything in detail. I can’t participate in this war, but I can surely help you in other ways," Luscious said before he raised his brows at his son who was looking at them.
"What are you looking at? Didn’t you go with Eli to talk to those witches? What happened there? What was the issue that they wanted to talk about?" Luscious asked, and hearing his words, Azura, who was talking to the witches at some distance immediately turned to them.
She excused herself from those witches and walked to where all of them were standing.
"You are back. What happened? What did the witches say? They surely did something bad again. Is Elliana okay? Or is she angry?" Azura asked one after the other, and Eros pressed his lips into a thin line helplessly before telling them everything.
