Chapter 662: His new identity

"Yes, I will ask him to call his guardian or someone he knows as soon as he wakes up," Elliana told the doctor as they admitted the guy to one of the wards.

Since there were no physical injuries, and it was practically strange for a vampire, as strong as a Duke’s son, to feel dizzy without a reason, the doctors decided it was better to run some tests on him.

Elliana looked at the guy, feeling a strange emotion building in her heart.

It might just be a coincidence but when the doctor pulled up his sleeves to draw some blood, she noticed the name carved on his hand, the name that looked like it was carved with some sharp thing before burning to make it permanent.

However, that wasn’t the strange thing.

The strange thing was that the name carved on his hand was her name.

What a strange coincidence. Elliana sighed before she looked at the time on her phone.

She has just come out to explore the area with Samantha. Who had thought that she would be stuck here?

Well, she didn’t have that kind of time on her hands to wait.

She pressed her lips into a thin line before taking out some dollar bills and placing them under the man’s pillow in case the man didn’t have money to get himself treated.

She took the notepad and wrote the note on it.

’Use the money under your pillow and get well soon. I needed to leave. Be healthy.

Eli,’

Elliana wrote the note, not wanting to use her full name in case this name held deep meaning to this guy. She didn’t want to hurt him in any way.

With a sigh and looking at the guy one last time, she left the hospital, ready to return to the University since the students of the exchange program were living in the dorms provided by the university itself.

As soon as Elliana sat in the taxi, she noticed that it was the same female driver who drove her there.

It has been 20 minutes and the lady was still here?

"Were you waiting for me?" Elliana asked but the lady just looked at her and didn’t say anything.

Elliana didn’t know what to say anymore. She didn’t feel any bad vibes from the lady, but it didn’t mean her constant sneaky gazes weren’t suspicious.

After what felt like an eternity but was only a few seconds, the lady finally smiled at her.

She moved her hands slowly, one movement at a time.

Elliana read the movement slowly and finally realized the lady couldn’t speak and was using sign language to communicate with her.

She didn’t remember how and why, but she could understand every single word the lady was signing.

Elliana looked at her hands before looking at her hands. It was like subconscious muscle memory. She didn’t know she could read it so well until today.

"I didn’t find another passenger," the lady said.

Elliana nodded in understanding.

"Okay. Can you take me to the University? The International University of Science and Arts," Elliana said, and the lady nodded before she started the car, leaving the area at the same time, Sebastian’s car pulled into the parking lot.

Sebastian walked out of the car without waiting for Ambrose and went straight inside the hospital, his presence immediately causing an uproar in the area.

Everyone immediately parted ways for him and bowed their heads to show their utmost respect to the King.

"A girl must’ve come here a few minutes ago with Lucas," Ambrose walked to the familiar doctor who knew almost all the men in Sebastian’s Black Skull army and immediately nodded.

"Yes, I was actually shocked to see Mr. Pablo. Then I thought you guys might not know about his fainting issue. I called the Black Skull palace’s main landline too just in case," The doctor said as he led them to the VIP ward where Lucas lay, unconscious.

Sebastian gazed at his subordinate and sighed.

"Let him rest. Where is the girl?" Sebastian asked the doctor, his brows furrowing when he saw a note on the nightstand.

"Sir, I actually went to check up with other patients while the nurses administered Mr. Pablo. I don’t have any idea where she went. Should I call the nurse to ask her?" The doctor asked, his gaze lingering on Ambrose for help to understand what their king wanted.

"No need. She left," Sebastian said before he grabbed the money from under Lucas’s pillowcase, his fists clenching the dollar bills in his hand.

So this girl thinks the secretary of the most powerful vampire on Earth doesn’t have enough money to get himself treated? What an insolent girl!

First, she took the earrings he was looking at, then she sabotaged his so-called arranged meeting with that Gloria girl, calling him names and now she indirectly called him poor.

Ha! Sebastian locked his jaws before looking at his subordinate.

"Once he is up and well, send him to the jungles to train between tigers. He had some guts making a fool out of his boss in front of some insolent teenage witch who probably hasn’t even seen the world," Sebastian said to Ambrose, who nodded his head, not daring to say anything to his boss, who left angrily.

As soon as their king left, both Ambrose and the doctor heaved a sigh of relief.

"Sir, is everything alright? I have never seen our King acting like this," The doctor said.

Ambrose didn’t answer the doctor’s question.

It wasn’t just about the doctor, even though he hadn’t seen his boss so troubled. One would say they have seen the most expression crossing their boss’s face in this single day compared to the entire year.

Normally, he wouldn’t even have cared about speaking so much and just asked his men to capture the girl who dared to insult him.

Ambrose sighed before he looked at Lucas, who had a pained expression on his face even when his eyes were closed and he was unconscious.

Just what exactly was going on? Ambrose shook his head before following the doctor out.

After some time, Elliana, who reached the University, got down from the taxi and looked at the female driver before smiling.

"Here, drive safe," She whispered before turning around and leaving, not noticing the soft look on the lady driver’s face.

The lady didn’t know what it was. She knew she had never seen this girl ever before, but for some reason, it almost felt like she was indebted to her and should do everything this girl wanted from her. There was this weird unexplainable feeling in her heart.

As soon as Elliana walked inside the University, rather than going to attend some lectures, she went straight to the canteen, wanting to eat some food because of her ruined mood.

She sat in one corner with her cheese sandwiches and was about to take the first bite when her pupils dilated.

She saw a hand coming towards her tray and before she could react, someone took the second sandwich from her plate, making her whip her head towards the thief.

"You!" Elliana pointed her fingers at the boy with a wronged expression.

"Yes, me. What about it? Don’t you know sharing is caring?" The boy asked with a smirk.

"To hell with caring. Who wants to care about you? Give the sandwich back to me," Elliana said, watching in horror as the boy took a bite from the sandwich.

"Samantha! Get your man in check or I will whip his ass for sure. I don’t care if he is the future council head or the god himself. No one messes with my food. Especially him, I don’t like him," Elliana glared at Alcinder, who flared his tongue at her, making her even angrier.

Samantha looked at her fiance and her new friend with mixed emotions. She didn’t know whether to cry or laugh or just feel amused.

This was the first time she had seen Alcinder being so alive and openly bullying a person, let alone a girl.

She looked at the girl, who was looking nothing less than an angry rabbit trying to be intimidating, and couldn’t help but chuckle.

"Stop it, Alcinder. She is really something. You don’t know what she did today," Samantha said as she bought a new serving of what Elliana was eating and placed it in front of the girl to calm her exploding anger.

Daniel, Tina, Melony, and Drake, who also joined the table, looked at the little witch who recently became their friend because of Samantha and how she was gobbling the food without shame and care in the world.

"What did she do?" Alcinder asked, trying to sneak his hand towards her plate, making Elliana swat his hand away.

"I don’t know what’s the big deal about it. I just met her cousin," Elliana said.

"Cousin?" Alcinder asked Samantha as they all started to eat their lunch.

Samantha nodded and was about to answer which cousin when Elliana beat her to it.

"The one who eats vampires," Elliana said casually, and everyone choked on their food, coughing violently.

Elliana looked up from her food and thought these people were really exaggerating.

However, what she did not know was that as surprising as her words were, they weren’t coughing because she said it, but because the person she said those words about was standing right behind her and heard her pretty clearly.

"So this is my permanent identity now?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana froze in her place.
