Chapter 666: Naughty little witch

Elliana looked at the phone with narrowed eyes before sighing.

She was tempted to call Nathaniel again and ask him how dare he hang up on her, that he was the king for the world, but for her he was nothing more than her beloved brother.

However, knowing all too well how things have been going for him and how hard he has been working to keep things intact because he wants to prove to the world that he is capable of his position, especially the kingdom, she sighed and stuffed the phone back in her pocket.

She walked to the class and entered it without even looking around since she didn’t spot any professor near the podium.

As she was walking to the back seat, her brows furrowed when she noticed the class was awfully quiet and she looked around.

Samantha, who saw her looking around with a clueless expression on her face, bit her bottom lip, unsure of how to signal her to look at the left corner where their surprise visit professor was sitting.

She looked at the man, who was also her cousin from the main royal family and couldn’t help but think how her friend kept on getting on bad terms with the royal family directly or indirectly.

"Ahem, ahem," Melony coughed loudly to catch Elliana’s attention, making the girl look at her.

She saw the empty seat beside Samantha and was about to step towards the seat when Melony shook her head and made a cross sign with her fingers, leaving her even more confused.

She saw Melony doing another signal that looked like she wanted her to look around.

Do they not want her to sit with them? Was that seat reserved for someone else? Elliana wondered before she looked for another seat, and luckily, the last row indeed had an empty seat near the left corner.

Elliana smiled at her friends, showing a thumbs up, before she turned to the corner and started walking towards it.

"What did you do? At least she was walking to us earlier," Samantha hissed at Melony.

"Can you blame me? I was telling her to not sit and look around, that there was a teacher right here," Melony said and Samantha shook her head with a sigh.

Elliana walked straight to the seat beside which their professor was sitting before plopping on it with a sigh.

"Hey, why has the professor not arrived yet?" She asked the person on her right and Samantha felt like smacking her head to knock some sense into the girl.

Was she really that naive or was her body and mind just designed in a way where she gets herself into trouble?

"I have no idea. Do you not know what your teacher looks like?" The man asked, an amused smile on his face and Elliana shrugged her shoulders.

"Beats me how negligent a professor can be. Such irresponsible behavior," She said.

"I know, right? He should be punished for being late, no?" He asked, and as if she wasn’t late and arrived in the class 5 minutes late herself, she nodded her head like an obedient child.

"But weren’t you late too?" He asked.

Elliana pouted, not liking how he was pointing at her now.

"As long as I am earlier than the professor, I am on time," She said, proud of her reasoning, and the man chuckled, his laugh surprising everyone.

"In that case, missy, you were late indeed," the man started, but Elliana interrupted him before he could complete his sentence and tell her he was a professor indeed.

Elliana, who thought he was laughing at her, scowled hard before looking at him.

"Aren’t you a bit old for being a student here? Even though I don’t have any idea about how things work in the vampire kingdom, you still look like you are in your early twenties," She said.

The man nodded before standing from his seat.

"You are right, I am too old to be a student here, and that’s the reason I am here as your professor, the same professor you are badmouthing," Marcus stood from his place and Elliana raised her brows.

Well, wasn’t her luck amazing today?

"Are you going to punish me?" She asked and Marcus looked at her cute smile before smiling himself.

"Not really," He said.

Elliana looked at him with a beaming expression.

"Really?" She asked but one look into Marcus’s eyes was enough for her to know he was joking with her.

"Would you like to stand at the back of the class or out of the class?" He asked and Elliana grabbed her bag diligently before walking to the back.

"Good girl," he said before he walked in front again.

"Where is the guy I asked to bring the pdf from the office? What are you guys vampires for if you can’t make sure of your speed?" Marcus said, his gaze going back to the so-called naughty girl who was probably an exchange student.

He looked at her making circles on the ground with the tip of her sandals and couldn’t help but look at her amused. Could she really act any childish?

And why was her childishness appearing so funny to him? He shook his head inwardly before looking at Samantha, who was also looking at him.

"Sir, can you please forgive her this once? She actually got a call from her King and he wanted to know if the vampires were treating the exchange students well or not.

Samantha tried to lie fluently and Marcus looked at his cousin.

He was about to tell her that there was no use lying when he felt his brother’s dominating presence and his brows furrowed because as far as he knew he wasn’t informed about his visit today.

Most importantly, this wasn’t his first visit either. The principal briefed him that he visited earlier too and the reason for arrival was unclear.

Marcus looked at the door instinctively.

"Are you sure you want to lie to your brothers for some random naughty little witch?" Sebastian asked as soon as he appeared near the door and Samantha widened her eyes when she saw one person, one cousin she was really afraid of.

Elliana also looked at the door instinctively, and her scowl deepened even more.

However, as soon as her gaze met with the subordinate she helped into the hospital, her gaze relaxed.

"Hey, are you okay?" She directly greeted Lucas, who smiled at her.

She didn’t even look at him.

Sebastian’s expression turned cold before he looked at his subordinate who was smiling at the girl as if he met his lover or something and the thought alone made him want to smack his head for some unknown reason.

"Stop acting like a love-sick fool," Sebastian pushed Lucas a bit, who just looked at his boss but didn’t say anything.

"I am sorry, Prince Marcus, but I need to talk to this girl, Princess," Lucas said, his subconscious mind clicking the name immediately.

Elliana looked at him surprised.

She didn’t really tell people here that she was the princess and heiress of the dark witch throne. Then how come he was calling her princess? She gulped, and looked at Marcus, hoping he would say no.

However, much to her dismay, the man nodded.

Elliana dejectedly walked out of the class from the back door and Sebastian nodded at his brother before leaving with his subordinate because even he wanted to see what they were going to talk about.

Elliana, who didn’t know what this man wanted to talk to her about, looked to her left where a football match was going on as they walked to the canteen with a sigh.

She wanted to play in the forest like back in the witch University. These people were forcing her to read stuff that she already knew about. It was all useless and -

"Watch out!" She heard a voice before she felt someone grab her hand and pull her back, making her head hit the man’s chest.

Sebastian grabbed the ball right in time before it could knock her out, his angry glare throwing all the vampires off-guard.

"We are sorry, sir," Everyone bowed to him.

Lucas, who was afraid his prince would get angrier, took the ball from his hand and went to the students to tell them to watch it when playing.

Elliana, on the other hand, who could feel her heart drumming against her chest, looked up, her gaze meeting Sebastian’s hazel eyes while he was still half-hugging her.

’If someone asked me about the moon and Sun, about the sky and earth, about the ocean and fire, about life and death, I will always choose the element that would bring me to you,’

Sebastian heard a soft voice in his head and his brows furrowed, his head becoming a bit dizzy.

He immediately let go of her and stumbled back.

"Mr. Sebastian, are you okay?" Elliana stepped ahead to hold his hand

’Mr. Marino, you are mine,’ Sebastian heard again, and he looked at the girl with suppressed emotions.

What was wrong with this girl? Why does his body and head react like that when she is around?
