The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 673: She did it?
Chapter 673: She did it?
Elliana gasped loudly when Sebastian pushed her body upwards out of the water before himself so that she wouldn’t have trouble breathing.
She wiped her face to be able to breathe properly, her body shivering as she looked for the man who saved her life.
When he didn’t come up immediately, she felt her heart skipping a beat and without thinking twice, she went under the water, ready to risk her life to save his if something bad was going on with him, but she had only dipped her head into the water when the man surfaced and pulled her close.
Another gasp left her mouth when his hot hands, despite the cold water, landed on her waist and her heart started to pound hard against her chest, making her want to hold onto him for dear life and run away from him at the same time.
"Are you okay?" He asked and she nodded, making him smile.
He didn’t waste a minute and pulled her towards the shore.
It was almost dark.
They looked around, trying to find a place where they could relax for a couple of minutes before thinking of a way to get out of there.
Elliana watched the man walking around, his broad shoulders and great physique that was even more evident because of his wet clothes making her look away and wanting to keep looking at him at the same time.
What will he look like without that overcoat? Elliana wondered, her cheeks flaring at her inappropriate thoughts.
What was happening to her for real? She has never felt like this for anyone before. This was the lost annoying and egoistic person she has met ever but... There was just something about him that kept on attracting her.
Maybe she looked at him all wrong?
She was too biased earlier. She called him a monster because that was what he was famous for being called, but... How could he be a monster? A monster won’t risk his life to save someone who was nothing to him.
There were so many people there, so many people who were below him and would’ve followed his orders too if he had asked them to save her, but he jumped himself.
He did this for her.
Even if he was confident in himself because he was the vampire king, the fall was inevitable and he would’ve gotten hurt if taken any wrong step or slipped the wrong way.
The mere thought that he still did it for her despite knowing the consequences, Elliana clenched her fists as tears brimmed her eyes.
She didn’t even know what this clogging feeling in her heart was. It was almost as if her heart carried some kind of burden that she wanted off from her chest so badly, like there were secrets she didn’t know about.
Sebastian, who was collecting the woods, groaned when he suddenly started to feel weird because of the wet clothes that were frustrating him.
Without thinking twice, he took off his overcoat, coat and shirt and threw them on a random rock so they wouldn’t get too dirty in case he would need to wear them again.
He continued to collect the wooden blocks from around the trees and was about to go further inside the forest when he remembered he wasn’t alone and the girl might feel scared because of the darkness.
After all, she was merely a 20 year old witch who didn’t even have the powers to aid her. He couldn’t even imagine how hard it must be for her.
With that thought in mind, he didn’t go inside the forest despite the fact that finding dry wood near the shore was quite hectic.
Feeling the sudden sad aura from around him, he turned around and looked at the girl who was hugging herself, his heart softening a little.
He was right. She was indeed scared.
He walked to her with all the wood he collected and was about to ask her what was wrong when he saw a cave-like thing at some distance from the cliff they fell.
He rushed to the area to check it was safe and no dangerous animal was sheltering there. Once he was assured everything was alright, he called Elliana inside the cave, as he tried to light the woods.
Seeing the man standing in front of her with no shirt and his chest exposed like this, Elliana felt her cheeks turn hot as she tried her best to look away and not think about what a sexy species of man this king really was.
She was wrong earlier. This man was definitely a monster. A monster of sexiness. She felt hot despite her clothes being soaked wet and how she was supposed to be shivering because of the cold.
She didn’t know if she needed this fire anymore. The sight of this man was enough to hear the surroundings around them. A blush crept up her cheeks when she realized where her thoughts were leading again and she cleared her throat.
Elliana looked at the man trying so hard and couldn’t help but feel how useless she was.
"Burn," Elliana whispered into her head desperately to be of some use in this dire situation and raised her hand, opening her palm towards the woods.
She knew nothing would happen. This was something she has been trying for the past year in the Witch’s University and despite everything, nothing happened.
What she hadn’t expected was for the glow in her hands to shoot what looked like a ball of fire into the pile of the wood.
Sebastian, who was about to try a different method, looked at the fire in surprise before he looked at the girl, who looked like she was in shock herself.
"I did this?" Elliana asked no one in particular as she raised her hands to look at them in utter surprise.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she observed her hands in disbelief.
Sebastian stood from his place. He wanted to ask her why she told everyone she didn’t know magic when she clearly could and if she was fooling everyone, but when he saw her looking at it in disbelief herself, he knew something was wrong with the situation.
Don’t tell him this was the first time she was able to use her magic.
"I... I did this?" She pointed at herself as she looked at Sebastian, her teary eyes making the man sigh.
"You did," He nodded his head.
However, what he hadn’t expected was for the girl to throw herself in his arms as she wrapped her hands around his neck, making him freeze in his place.
"I can’t believe it! I finally did it. After one year of trying and rigorous training, I finally created fire. I am so happy," Elliana jumped in her place while hugging Sebastian and the guy couldn’t help but feel his lips twitching at her happiness.
Her happiness was contagious.
Even though he didn’t know what they were supposed to be happy about, he smiled and nodded at her.
"You did amazing," He said, making the girl pull herself close to him as she kept hugging him, completely forgetting that he was standing there shirtless and her wet dress wasn’t doing much to hide her assets.
As Sebastian’s happiness started to die, he started to feel what a man was supposed to when being hugged by a girl as beautiful as her who was soaking wet from top to bottom.
Heat started to rise on his neck and a particular part of his body that felt like he was coming to life for the first time in his life and he couldn’t help but feel his pupils dilating.
There was no way he was feeling like that for a girl he met only today just because she was hugging him.
What was wrong with him?
