Chapter 672: Past memories colliding

Elliana’s life flashed across her eyes. Well, it wasn’t much considering how she forgot most of her life and only remembered whatever relationship she built in the last year with people around her.

She groaned in pain as she tried to hold onto the rock for dear life.

How much she wished she could use magic to help herself up. If she wasn’t in such a dire situation, she would’ve called her mom or her brother already to help her out.

Her eyes brimmed with tears as it was practically impossible for her to pull herself up no matter how hard she tried.

Was this her end?

"Somebody, please help!" Elliana shouted at the top of her lungs, hoping her fast heartbeats would alert Nathaniel and he would rush to her.

Sebastian, on the other hand, rushed to the cliff as he saw the girl barely hanging on the rock.

"What is she doing? Why is she not using her magic to help herself?" Sebastian asked no one in particular and Samantha watched in horror.

"Brother, we need to do something. Elliana can’t use her magic. She is nothing more than a human currently. I don’t think she will be able to hold for long. She will die at this pace," Samantha’s panicked voice reached Sebastian even though she was standing at quite some distance.

Sebastian’s pupils dilated as soon as he heard those words and his heart skipped a beat as the kind of raw fear he had never felt before engulfed his heart.

"What did you say? She can’t use magic? And you are telling us that only now?" Sebastian growled at Samantha, who shuddered in her place, hiding behind Alcinder in fear.

"Sir, what should we-" Lucas started to ask his King what they should be doing, but before he could complete his sentence, he saw Sebastian sliding down the cliff, making everyone widen their eyes.

Sebastian slid, doing his best to control his speed so he wouldn’t end up knocking Elliana or sliding below her.

As soon as he reached near her, he used his strength to hit the rock and create a dent big enough for him to be able to hold and hang beside her.

Elliana looked at the guy with wide eyes, forgetting about the pain in her hand for a moment before it came into full force as her sweaty hands were getting slippery.

"What the hell are you doing? Who the hell comes down on himself to save someone? Couldn’t you use a rope or make some kind of human chain to help me?" Elliana groaned and Sebastian rolled his eyes.

He couldn’t help but look at the annoying girl who was lecturing him even after being in such a dire situation and didn’t know if he actually wanted to save her or smack her head as a matter of fact.

No one has intrigued him, annoyed him, frustrated him, and made him jump down a cliff in his entire life like she was doing in a single day within 6 hours.

"There was no way a rope could come here and you could’ve slipped and died already. Trust me. I won’t let anything happen to you," Sebastian sighed, not snapping at her and Elliana froze for a second.

She looked into the eyes of the man that looked so enchanting for some reason. The way he kept bothering her, clouding her thoughts and making her smitten with his presence and magnificence, it was something she was really hoping to ignore because he was a vampire king and the most dangerous one.

But how was she supposed to ignore him when he was looking at her with such a gaze that was asking her to trust him with her life?

Elliana gulped.

"Look, I know I don’t have the best image in your heart but if you can’t trust me emotionally, think of it logically. I am a vampire king and you are like our guest here. Do you think I will -" Sebastian couldn’t complete his sentence when Elliana gulped and nodded her head. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

"I trust you," She whispered.

’Even if you will be standing on the death’s side, I will always choose you, Mr. Marino. Hehe,’

’Don’t you get it? I would lay down everyone’s life for you,’

Sebastian immediately heard that similar voice in his head with just different words and he gulped, wanting to focus on the matter at hand.

"Are you sure? It will be like a trust fall. We will go down," Sebastian asked once again, his heart going crazy with the way she was looking at him like a smitten woman and he felt heat rising to his neck for some reason.

"Uhuh," She said before she tried to place her foot on the rock so her body could be a little close to Sebastian.

She thought he would be holding her hand before falling to control the flow of the fall and using some of his vampire energy and powder to lessen the impact, but who would’ve thought he had completely different plans?

Sebastian extended his hand and snuck his hand around her waist, making her immediately loosen her grip on the rock.

The man couldn’t help but smile at her for some reason.

’Do you trust me? Can you jump down from here with me?’

’Let’s do it,’

’Hey, It’s Dangerous,’

’With you, every danger is fun,’

Elliana felt deja Vu hitting her mind again as she felt like she heard this conversation before and something like this had happened before too.

"I am going to leave my hand now," Sebastian warned her.

"With you, every danger is fun," Elliana whispered those words she felt in her deja vu sense, her words catching Sebastian completely off-guard because he felt like someone saying the exact words in his head.

"You- how do you -" Sebastian couldn’t complete his sentence as his hand slipped because of the soil moving and they fell on the cliff, making Elliana wrap her legs around his torso, her eyes clenching shut while she hid her face in his chest.

As soon as she placed her head on his chest, Sebastian felt his heart thumping loudly and he looked at the tree, immediately holding onto its branch.

He needed time.

He needed time to admire this sight in his arms. Sebastian looked at the girl in pure amazement who was instilling the kind of feelings in his heart that he never thought he was capable of.

He looked at her being so scared and couldn’t help but smile.

"How cute," He whispered, his pupils dilating when he thought how he said the same word to her twice already when he never found anything cute.

He let go of the branch and fell again.

"Open your eyes," He commanded her, and Elliana did as she was told, her hold tightening on his clothes.

Sebastian smirked as he neared the ground and he kicked it using his vampire speed, making them roll over as they were pushed into the middle while Elliana gasped.

There was a river down there.

She looked at the water body in shock but before she could react, her body felt immersed into the cold water.
