Chapter 679: Future not so sweet

"Why is the work not done yet?!" Sebastian seethed through his teeth as he glared at the man in front of him and Garry looked down at his feet, unsure what to say to his King.

"But, sir, you said you didn’t need the report until next week," Harry, who was confused, said, and Garry looked at his brother with a glare.

Even after working with their boss for so long, he still doesn’t know how to read the room. Couldn’t he just keep quiet seeing how their boss was angry at the moment?

Lucas looked at his King who had been acting like this for two days.

That day after Prince Vincenzo had made that request, the Dark Witch Prince had indeed woken up Elliana.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she looked at her aunt and smiled at her sadly.

Lucas wouldn’t deny it. He didn’t know what exactly happened between his boss and that girl, which strangely provoked the feeling of protection in his heart, but the moment her eyes met with his sir, he could see sadness brewing in them.

She was so sad that she immediately averted her gaze and talked to Prince Vincenzo, answering the questions he asked.

When asked about what happened between her and their King, she didn’t say anything and just said she was too dizzy.

She avoided talking about the issue, and when his sir wanted to talk to her, she just told everyone that she was tired and left.

Their Prince has been acting like this since then and it was honestly getting on his nerves too.

"It’s okay, Garry. You can leave," Lucas said.

Sebastian, who was looking at a report raised his brows when his two subordinates left, his brows furrowing.

"I don’t remember I gave you the authority to dismiss my men without my permission," Sebastian said.

Lucas didn’t answer him immediately.

He rolled his eyes inwardly and walked around the table before placing another report that he got from Caesar.

"Here is the report you asked for," He said.

Sebastian looked at his friend, annoyed, but didn’t say anything.

Rather, he stood from his place, walked around the table, and kicked the chair away.

Lucas looked at his boss, a little surprised.

So he was resorting to throwing a tantrum now?

"What is bothering you so much, sir?" Lucas asked, finally confronting him.

The man only glared at him, not saying anything.

What was bothering him? Even he didn’t know what was bothering him.

It was as if he wanted to start a battle and have some bloodshed. And he knew it had been like this since that day on the hill.

That cunning witch probably did something to him. And he had no fucking idea what it was.

He wanted to consult a normal witch to know what was going on, but afraid that they were with that cunning girl, he couldn’t consult anyone.

"I probably need to feed," Sebastian said.

Lucas shook his head at his boss.

Seriously? He was making excuses now?

"Sir, you fed me half an hour ago. And before you say you want fresh blood, you fed this morning and normally you don’t feed for a couple of days," Lucas mentioned.

Sebastian looked at him with an annoyed expression.

He didn’t need to hear any kind of reasoning from him.

"Well, did I ask?" Sebastian asked, not looking at him before he walked to the window.

"Ask Ambrose to come and start the car," Sebastian said after some time.

Lucas raised his brows.

"Are you leaving for somewhere, sir?" Lucas asked before zipping his lips shut when his King glared at them.

He didn’t say anything and followed his boss like a lost puppy.

He even sat inside the car, thinking about his schedule to see if he was missing any kind of meeting or anything decided at the last minute.

When he couldn’t think of anything, he messaged Prince Stephano to find out if the elder Prince had scheduled any kind of meeting that he didn’t have an idea about.

However, before he could even check the reply, he looked at the path they were going on and couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.

Wait. They weren’t going exactly where he thought they were going, right?

Lucas looked at his boss from the rearview mirror who was sitting with his eyes closed and didn’t know what to think of it.

His King was seriously turning way unpredictable.

He looked at Ambrose who had the same look of confusion on his face and shook his head. It was a clear signal. If he did not want their king to get angry with them, they needed to stay quiet and do as he was telling them without asking any questions.

It wasn’t long before the car stopped at the entrance of the University.

Lucas exited the car and opened the door for his Prince, who looked at the building entrance.

Rather than going into the building that was his main target, he turned to the Principal’s office.

Lucas followed him without asking anything, stopping when his King glared at him.

"Where are you looking?" Sebastian asked and Lucas cleared his throat when he realized his boss was glaring at him because he bumped into his back.

"I am sorry, sir. I was just looking around," Lucas said and he was about to say more when he saw one person that he didn’t expect, coming out of the Principal’s office.

It was none other than Miss Elliana along with the council head Alcinder.

Lucas furrowed his brows.

Was she in any kind of trouble? His body felt like it moved on its own accord, and before he could realize, he was already standing in front of her.

"Hey," Lucas said, and Elliana, who was talking to Alcinder about the permission that was granted to her to work in the laboratory, looked to her side and smiled immediately.

"Hi," She said.

"You are coming out of the principal’s office. Is everything alright?" Lucas asked.

Elliana nodded her head and told him what the matter was, her lips twitching slightly when she saw the man breathing a sigh of relief.

Honestly, he was really acting like he was her guardian or something, and she couldn’t help but chuckle a little, her chuckle dying immediately when she saw Sebastian walking ahead from behind Lucas. freewebnøvel.coɱ

She looked at the man, his words still echoing in her head and her happiness died.

"See you around," She said to Lucas, not wanting any kind of confrontation from the man.

She didn’t even want to breathe the same air as him, but walking away without walking past him was inevitable, and with a sigh, she walked past him.

Seeing the cold look on the girl’s face that he didn’t expect, Sebastian clenched his fists and walked into the principal’s room, his aura changing from annoyed to angered, making Lucas sigh.

His doubt was right. It was Miss Elliana who was particularly affecting their boss’s emotions.

A sigh left his mouth. He didn’t know what the future held for the two of them but it surely didn’t look too sweet as of now.
