Chapter 696: Starting to remember things

It was hard and painful. Sebastian tried to connect his memories and project the image of Elliana, which fit with the image of the girl of his dreams, but it was painful. The more he thought about it, the heavier his head felt, along with the excruciating pain.

"Ah!" Sebastian growled in utter pain, blood flowing down from his nose at the kind of pressure it was putting on him.

Ella, who hadn’t expected to see this kind of reaction from her brother, immediately felt worried.

"What are you talking about? Nothing makes sense to me. But, at the same time—" Sebastian gulped.

He rushed to the diary he was reading and started rereading the entries despite the pain of Elliana’s image in his mind.

When he read the description of the girls’ smiles, he thought about Elliana’s smile. When he read about her long hair, how her touch felt so soft, and how she looked like an appetite porcelain doll he wanted to cherish, he imagined the ride with her and couldn’t help but feel his heart stopping for a second.

She had been her, and that was why he felt that kind of insane attraction to her. The moment their eyes met, he knew something was wrong with her. The way his heart skipped a beat, and he felt the spark, he thought she was seducing him.

However, how could he be so wrong? She wasn’t seducing him. She was probably here, sent by her family to remind him of the love he lost. That she was the solution to the loneliness he felt in his heart.

The more he thought about her, trying to remember everything, forcing his beast to speak out, the more he bled, but he didn’t care about that at the moment. The only thing he cared about was the fact that he needed to know everything—everything that he missed and lost.

He knew it was related to that war, which he had no recollection of. What surprised him even more was that his sister was the only person in their entire family who remembered Elliana.

"What exactly happened, sister Ella?" Sebastian asked as he started getting more snippets of their past, and things became more apparent. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Ella looked at her brother in pain and couldn’t help but feel worried about him. Did she really make an excellent choice in asking him about it?

Or was it a mistake? She was warned about it. She needed to keep her mouth shut, but she let her mouth run because of her excitement, which was what happened.

Ella looked around helplessly as everyone entered the office only by one. Vincenzo and Marcus looked at their spanking sister and knew they needed to take her out. However, Ella refused to step aside.

If she had told him so much and made him remember so many things, it was her duty to tell him the remaining part, too. She owed it to Elliana, who was ready to sacrifice her life to save the vampire king, her brother, and the protector of the Kingdom. She owed it to her boss, who didn’t think twice before helping her so many times.

If this was going to ensure that one percent chance that they would be reunited, she wanted to take that chance.

"You don’t remember it, Sebastian? The war? How did she sacrifice her life for you? How did Lucas get this mark of her name on his hand? Because she wanted to die for you, and he tried to remember her for the rest of his life despite knowing they would lose their memories because of some witch ritual that brought you back to life? Ell asked.

Lucas looked at the name he had carved in surprise. He had always wondered what the story behind the mark was. For him to do something like that, it should’ve been special, and finally hearing a piece of it, he didn’t know what to feel.

It was no wonder he had felt that connection with Elliana and fainted because of the pressure on his head when he had seen her for the first time.

Sebastian shook his head.

He tried to picture everything, but to no avail was it helping it.

’Hehe, Mr. Marino, can you catch me?’

’Just give me 21 more days, Mr. Marino. I will tell you everything about myself,’

’There hasn’t been anyone in my life I have loved more than I do to you. I can die and kill for you,’

Her voice echoed in his head, and he bit his lips anxiously. The blood stopped coming out. There was a sudden numbness in his body that he had never felt before. His head stopped aching, and he looked at his blood-stained hands in shock.

What was going on? Why did he stop feeling everything? Even the voices in his head stopped. The voice and the image of Elliana he had been seeing in his heart stopped appearing. It was all empty and calm, the kind of calmness that made him fear the worst.

It was painful earlier. There was no doubt about it, but now it was unbearable. Though he wasn’t hurting, it was painful for him, and he gulped.

He suddenly remembered Elliana’s conduct when he was sent back to the vampire kingdom, and his heart began to dread the worst. Her sister Ari had said something about them.

What if something happened to Elliana?

No. No. No. How can he even think about that? They haven’t even found each other again. Nothing shall happen to her.

Sebastian shook his head as he looked around helplessly.

"I need to go see her. When Nathaniel sent me here, she was bleeding terribly. I asked him what was happening, but he didn’t answer me. Something is wrong with her. I can’t feel her presence anymore. It’s almost as if she is -" Gone.

Sebastian dared not utter the last word, his heart drumming hard against his chest.

Ella, who had already asked a witch to come and aid her because she intended to go to the witch kingdom to meet Elliana once she confirmed things with Sebastian, immediately called her in.

The witch named Sally walked inside the Black Skull Palace and looked at the vampire king before her.

"All I am going to do is teleport you guys to the kingdom where she is. What happens next is up to you," she said.

Vincenzo and Markus were equally amazed by things and wanted to see what was happening because these things were confusing them, too. They asked the witch to take them, too.

However, before the witch could deny it, as she could be scolded for bringing so many vampires into the kingdom without permission, Ella denied them.

"I want you guys to keep things in control here. We will bring her safe and sound. Prepare for the celebration because this time I am not coming back without my sister-in-law," Ella said, hoping Ellaina would be alright.

Sebastian, who couldn’t feel anything, looked at the witch helplessly, his expression laced with annoyance, as he didn’t like the delay.

Ella understood his urgency and immediately nodded at the witch.
