Chapter 243: Hate To Break It To You

It was well into the night before we had had enough of paradise. The sun had sunk behind the water, turning everything red and orange. I had made a comment that the sunset reminded me of the guys.

Sloth was the color where the sky and water met, while Wrath, Lust, and Gluttony were all in the sunset. Even Envy could be seen in the sky as purple played with the blues. Pride was even higher up, the dark sky covering everything underneath him.

"And where am I?" asked Luca as the looks on the other guys’ faces changed to awe as I continued to describe what I was seeing.

"You are the earth," I shrugged, pointing to a section of the land in the middle of the ocean where palm trees grew. "You are the sanctuary for everyone who needs it. Can’t you see it?"

"I guess our demons aren’t so bad if you put it that way," sniffed Pride, speaking through Dante as he stared up at the sky.

It was like after the battle with Réne and the others, the division between the human and the demon was almost gone.

"Told you that you were beautiful," I snickered, leaning back on Salvatore’s chest. The man had refused to go in the water, deciding to hold on to me for the whole day. I can’t say that I minded. It was...

"Do we’s really ’ave ta go back?" sighed Désiré as he folded his arms behind his head. "Cause if we donna, I donna want ta."

Chang Xuefeng shook his head as he let out a long sigh. "We can only appreciate this because we’ve experienced the opposite. If we lived here forever, we would no longer appreciate it."

Humming in agreement, I closed my eyes. As content as I felt, the longer I stayed here, the more restless I became. It was like I needed to be a shit disturber, I needed to create chaos in order to be complete.

But this was as good of a vacation spot as any. Plus, the staff was on point, I never had such exceptional service before.

Five stars!

"So," I sighed, opening my eyes. "What should we do next?"

"I vote for playtime," smirked Désiré as he turned his head to look at me. After spending the day with him, I started to understand that his need for sexual innuendoes was more of a mask to hide how he really felt rather than him actually being a disgusting playboy.

The only problem was that I still didn’t think I was there yet.

Sure, I had fucked all of them in my head a time or two... sometimes alone and sometimes together... and I had already been eaten out a few times, but I still broke out in a cold sweat when I thought about taking it any further.

And the last thing I wanted to do was think of Père when one of them was inside me. That would definitely ruin the moment.

"Or," sighed Dante, his eyes closing, "And hear me out... we all cuddle in bed, get a good night’s sleep, and then go burn down another section of the world tomorrow."

"You would really give up the idea of fucking me for a good night’s sleep?" I asked, a little insulted. Sure, I didn’t want the fucking, but I definitely didn’t want them not want the fucking.

Dante’s eyes opened as he turned his head to look at me, his eyes pure demon. "I want to fuck you every minute of every day. If I could figure out how to have my cock in your pussy while burning down the world in your name, that is what I would do. However, I also understand that we have the rest of eternity to fuck like bunnies. I can wait until you are ready for us, and I will not ever push for more than you are willing to give."

The look he was giving me was so earnest that I couldn’t help but melt. "I’d like that," I agreed. "I want to fuck you... but,"

"But nothing," chuckled Tank as he picked up my hand and held it in his own. "We are on your schedule, and nothing is going to change it."

"I think Luci is Père," I blurted out. Okay, so it wasn’t my finest moment, but I was starting to freak out with all this touchy-feely shit and was ready to change the topic to just about anything else.

Instead of looking at me like I was crazy, my guys just went with it. "Why do you think that?" murmured Dante, his brows furrowing in confusion.

"We’s ’eard some of de conversation before," grunted Dimitri from where he was lying on the other side of Dante. "Yous be thinkin’ dat Luci is Lilith?"

"Yes?" I replied, making it much more of a question than a statement. "But even then, it doesn’t taste right."

Once again, the perfect men around me completely disregarded the fact that I said words had taste and nodded their heads.

"So," murmured Chang Xuefeng as he sat up. He was further down on the lounge chairs smack in the middle of Ronan and Luca. "You don’t think you are the reincarnation of Luci. That’s what the conversation was about, right?"

"Yes and no," I replied as concisely as possible. "Would you believe me if I said that I was talking out of my ass the entire time, going just on what felt right to say at the moment?"

"It would ’ave ta be pretty accurate if Luci bought it hook, line, and sinker," mused Beau. Unlike the rest of us, he was sitting on the edge of the dock, his feet dangling in the water.

"Yeah, I caught that, too," I sighed.

"But why do you think Luci and Père are the same?" asked Dante, bringing me back to my original statement. "Cause they don’t look anything alike."

There was a chorus of snorts while I thought about the answer. "I don’t know," I groaned, wrinkling my nose. "It’s just how many people really come back from the dead?"

"Sugar," sighed Beau. "I hate to be the one to break this to you, but it’s the fucking zombie apocalypse. Everyone comes back from the dead at least once in their lives."
