Be Careful What You Wish For: A Zombie Apocalypse-Chapter 422: Make An Exception
Chapter 422: Make An Exception
That night, Security at New Dawn Sanctuary didn’t sleep at all. First, it just started with one male who went AWOL. Apparently, Sam hadn’t cleared it with the person in charge of him and was ’absent without leave’.
They had searched for him for two hours before determining that he was no longer on the Sanctuary side of everything. But while they looked for him, another male, at another dormitory, as well as a female, simply disappeared.
They were there in their beds for last roll-call and lights’ out, but when staff checked on them in the middle of the night, they were simply gone. free𝑤ebnovel.com
"Where the fuck could they have gone?" snarled Walt as he paced back and forth in front of Eric’s desk. "People don’t just disappear like that."
"Sure they do," chuckled Eric as he stared at the canister in his hand. It took Adam less than two hours to create an insect spray. The only problem was that it was created using zombie DNA as the repellent, so neither man knew if it would work or simply make a bigger problem. "It’s the zombie apocalypse. People disappear all the time... mostly to end up in a zombie’s stomach."
"I wish," growled Walt. "This zombie apocalypse is nothing more than a joke. When was the last time you actually saw a zombie? Go on, think about it. I’ll wait."
Eric snorted, not bothering to tell his friend that there was at least 200 in the basement. "So, what’s your wish? You want the missing people to be in a zombie’s stomach?"
"No," sighed Walt, dropping into the chair in front of Eric. "I just want something fun and interesting to happen. I mean, it was only not having TV when you were fighting zombies, but now there’s nothing to do at night."
"Have you tried sleeping?" suggested Eric, feeling a disturbance in the shadows behind him. The little girl was getting better and better at surprising him. He couldn’t stop the soft smile on his face, even if he tried.
"Fuck sleeping. I’ll sleep when I’m dead." Smacking his forehead against the desk, Walt groaned.
"Well, if you are bored, you can always go out and try to find the missing people. If we don’t have answers for the Fucktard in the morning, he might actually take the stick out of his ass and beat us with it."
Walk scoffed at that statement, but didn’t disagree. "If they all decided to meet up for an orgy and didn’t invite me, I’m arresting just on principle."
"One woman and two men do not an orgy make," chuckled Eric, leaning back in his chair. "That would be a menage a trois... a three-some."
Walt chuckled and shook his head. "How do you know so much? You’ve been looking into it?"
Eric smiled, his eyes gleaming even as he held his finger up to his lips. "That’s my little secret."
"No shit. Multiple dudes or multiple chicks?" The mission he had been sent on completely forgotten, Walt sat down at the desk and leaned forward to stare at Eric.
"If I want to get what I want, then I am going to have to learn to share," shrugged Eric, but the look on his face showed his pure joy at that idea. If he was going to stand a chance with Hattie, then he was going to have to play nice with her men.
But he’d cut off any dick that touched his.

"Interesting wish," I said as I stepped out of the shadows once the other man had left. I really didn’t need to hear half of that conversation between him and Eric, but I also wanted to talk to Eric.
"That’s what you want to talk about? His wish? What about my wish? Do you want to hear mine?" purred Eric as he pushed his chair back and patted his lap. "I don’t mind telling you what I wish for at night."
"Funny," I shrugged, climbing into his lap. It was weird, my body was acting on its own, and I didn’t know if I liked that or not. However, the moment Eric wrapped his arms around me, it was all I could do to stay awake. "Are you willing to give up what is most important to you for something that you want the most? Nothing’s free in this world. You should know that by now."
Eric raised an eyebrow and looked at me. "I was joking," he assured me, his voice strangely serious as he stared at my whiteish blue eyes. "If it is something that I want, I’ll never take the easy way out to get it. Only things earned in blood and intentions are worth keeping."
"I’m almost happy that the majority of the world doesn’t subscribe to that particular way of thinking. Like your friend," I chuckled.
"All he did was wish for something fun and interesting to happen. It’s not like he is asking for the zombies to be revived and start hunting us all over again," replied Eric with a shake of his head.
"He made a wish," I whispered softly, the smile on my face a touch psychotic. "And his wish has already been granted; he just didn’t know it yet. I’ll still take my pound of flesh, but he’ll have plenty of fun before he dies."
The smile on Eric’s face completely dropped away as he looked down at me. "He’s a friend," he said seriously.
"Then he should know better than to make a wish," I shrugged.
"It was just a slip of the tongue. Can you not?" pushed Eric. Walt was his first real friend in this life, and he didn’t want to lose him.
"Are you making a wish?" I purred, looking at the man in front of me from under my eyes. It was too bad that he was only a human... he would have been fun to play with. Then again, I should probably figure out what I’m doing with the guys before I add on another to the mix.
Or not.
I really didn’t know how I felt about Luca, and that was one of the main reasons why I had come to see him.
"Would a wish save him?" asked Eric. Rotating my head and hearing the popping from the joints, I thought about it.
"The deal has been made, and the contract signed," I said at last. "But maybe, I’ll be willing to make an exception."
