Olivia, who had been sipping her fruit beer, tensed but forced herself to look calm. She turned to face Rose.

"Yeah? What’s up?"

Rose crossed her arms and tilted her head slightly.

"Did you bring the real ring from VJ this time? The one you said was at home?"

The room grew quieter as people turned to watch.

From behind Rose, two familiar voices giggled.

Natasha and Kira, Rose’s closest friends, stepped forward with matching smirks.

"Oh, come on, Rose, you really think Olivia owns a real VJ ring?" Natasha said, flipping her blonde hair over her shoulder.

Kira snorted.

"Yesterday, she wore a cheap knockoff and when we caught her, she said the real one was at home. How convenient!"

A few people in the crowd chuckled. Some whispered to each other, glancing at Olivia with amused looks.

Olivia wasn’t the type to back down, with a smirk on her face, she challenged,

"Oh, yeah? Well, I did bring the VJ ring."

With that, she took out the box and confidently opened it. As she displayed the ring inside, she didn’t forget to mock back,

"Yeah? See that. I can’t afford a VJ ring so I bought the newest edition, the one who might haven’t seen till yet."

Though Olivia appeared confident, her mind was in turmoil,

’Sh*t, what if any of them are recognized as knockoffs. I am doomed. I should have rented a real VJ ring!’

Rose’s eyes widened. It was indeed the newest edition VJ ring.

Yesterday, by the time she reached the store, the ring was already sold out.

Kira chuckled,

"Eh? I don’t recognize it. Though the box is indeed VJ’s, the ring is something I have seen for the first time."

Natasha suspiciously leaned to look at the ring and asked,

"Or maybe she thought she could fool all of us, as long as she presented the box with a fake ring."

’Sh*t. I am doomed.’ Olivia thought, but her face was expressionless, "This is the newest edition, I don’t know if it is updated on the website or not, but the salesperson had told me that it was indeed the newest edition."

Kira and Natasha fell silent. Honestly, they weren’t familiar with VJ. They turned to Rose, in the hope of getting an answer.

Rose panicked a bit in her heart before an idea came to her mind. No one other than her knows that the ring is real.

She could easily lie and bully Olivia.

Looking at Olivia’s beautiful face, Rose was reminded of the times when her fiance kept on comparing how Olivia was much better looking than her.

For Rose, Olivia was a stranger before, however, it all changed when her fiance was attracted to Olivia.

At first, she didn’t mind, she didn’t love her fiance in the first place. But when he started to compare how Olivia was popular due to her beauty and while she, Rose, was popular due to her wealth only, Rose felt a pang of envy.

Olivia was a dirt-poor girl, she was destined to attend a mediocre university and slave away her life in a corporate job.

How can she qualify to be compared to Rose?

The envy in Rose’s heart transformed into deep-seated disdain. She wanted everyone else to despise Olivia too.

Kira didn’t want to be outdone and followed,

"Exactly, sometimes I truly wonder, whether god has given her brain or not. She lied and had the audacity to show us a fake ring?"

"Olivia if I were in your place, I would leave right away..." Natasha mocked.

Olivia calmly glanced at Rose, in reality, her heart was pounding. Before she could say anything though, Siya suddenly said,

"Why don’t we check on the site to know if the ring is real or not? Olivia, do you have the receipt? We can scan it and prove them."

Olivia panicked slightly.

Receipt? What receipt? She didn’t have any! The ring was given to her by a so-called ’fairy godmother!’

Suddenly an idea sparked in her mind.

"Receipt? Is it at home, I will bring it." Olivia said with a look saying ’I will prove it to you all.’

Rose gave a look to Natasha, who instantly understood and nodded.

In reality, Olivia was thinking of running away and not returning. She even came up with an excuse for not showing up later.

’I will tell them, I had an accident. They don’t know my home address anyway.’

Just as she thought so and turned toward the door, her arms were held by Natasha,

Olivia was about to say something when Natasha dug her nails into her own left arm, and before Olivia could react, she fell to the ground.

Olivia was taken aback by the sudden turn of events.

Before she could react, Rose shouted,

"How dare you push her! She was just trying to stop you! Do you need to be so violent?"

"No...I didn’t..." Olivia shook her head, she was a bit flustered.

"Olivia, I know you are panicking now that you are exposed but you should not scratch me." Natasha didn’t wait for Olivia’s response and showed them the scratch marks on the left arm.

Tears started to spill from Natasha’s eyes making everyone feel distressed for her.

"My god! Olivia is so disgusting! She scratched and pushed Natasha just because Natasha was exposing her?"

"Exactly! If you are so afraid of being exposed why bother to wear knocks off in the first place?"

"Uh...I must say, I used to adore her, but now..."

Olivia turned toward Siya hoping her to say something but Siya remained silent, when she saw everyone criticizing Olivia.
