Mei Mei snapped her head back and glared at him. "Mo Liang, what you doing? You will scare the child with such talk"

"Child!!!" he exclaimed. "Who are you calling a child? He is a grown man, he is twenty four years old for crying out loud. He can vote and get married. He can get a job and...."

"I know what he can do." Mei Mei snapped. "I also know that he has been working as an intern so how do you expect him to afford a bracelet worth one million?" She faced her phone in the direct of the remnants of the bracelet and scanned them. "Bandit, how much is this bracelet?"

Three heads turned in Mo Liang’s direction. His eyes were wide in panic, darting around as if searching for convincing explanation. His cheeks flushed with what was unmistakable embarrassment.

"Millions, ha!" Mei Mei scoffed. She collected the pieces of the bracelet and flung them and Mo Liang. "You old bastard, are you addicted to telling lies?"

Jingzhe tagged on Mei Mei’s arm gently. "Mei Mei maybe he made a mistake and bought you the wrong bracelet. There is a big difference between this bracelet and one worth one million." He smiled innocently and looked Mo Liang. "Perhaps he was given the wrong bracelet. Brother, is that what happened?"

Mo Liang’s head reacted before logic could analyze the statement. If he had stopped to think, he would recall that Mo Jingzhe was not the kind of person to help him out of a difficult situation. He was the type to dig a deeper hole for him to fall into.

"Yes, yes, yes. They must have given me the wrong bracelet." he said eagerly.

Mo Jingzhe smirked again, but he hid it quickly. "Brother, in that case we should call the shop and demand a refund for the balance. If they deny selling you a bracelet worth millions, we can go to the police. Do you have the receipt?"

Color drained from Mo Liang’s face, leaving him nearly pale. He was not open to any of the suggestions because he would be proven to be a liar. "What are you making a fuss for?" He yelled at Mo Jingzhe. "I am a famous space pilot. If I show up demanding for refunds and accusing the shop of theft, my image will be tarnished. I cannot be involved in a scandal right now." He got his phone out and grumbled, "Isn’t it just a bracelet, I can just buy another one."

Mo Jingzhe’s eyes lit up. "Really, Mei Mei did you hear that? Let us choose a bracelet right now and make an order."

He had already pulled his phone out to call the police so her just visited the website of his preferred jewelry brand. "Mei Mei, this is a twenty four Karat gold bracelet worth two million yuan."

Mo Liang nearly spit up blood.

Feng Qi covered her face and tried to hold in the laughter which wanted to spill out desperately.

"This one is vintage yellow gold with green jade and this one is a gold coin bracelet with diamond edges. There is also this one which has gold and precious stones, it costs only three million, brother has been making a lot of money all these years so he can afford it."

Mo Liang’s hand slipped from the chair. With his uncontrolled strength. he toppled it and the chair fell to the ground.

Jingzhe clicked buy on the bracelet worth three million. "Brother, they need your credit card information. You are right, instead of calling the police, its best to replace the broken bracelet."

Mo Liang opened his mouth to say no but Feng Qi’s next words made him freeze.

She was on the phone, speaking to the police. "Hello, police, we would like to report a jewelry store that..."

"Hung up." Mo Liang yelled at her. He marched towards her furiously and pulled the phone out of her hand. ’What is wrong with you? I said that I would replace the bracelet so why are you making a fuss? Do you want to ruin my good public image?"

His behavior was skittish, he kept looking back as if he was afraid someone would walk and ask about all the shouting.

Angry, he marched to Jingzhe and bought the bracelet worth three million. They got a notification confirming that the purchase would arrive in thirty minutes.

"There, are you happy now?" he snarled out.

Jingzhe nodded. He turned to Mei Mei, "Sister, are you happy now?"

Mei Mei squealed and she hugged Mo Jingzhe. "A Zhe, I love my new bracelet. Thank you so much, I will show it off as soon as it arrives."

Jingzhe hugged her back, with a provocative smile that he sent Mo Liang’s way. "If you need anything else, just tell me and I will make sure that you get it."

Mo Liang was so angry that he was speechless. He was the one paying for the new bracelet so why was Mo Jingzhe getting the credit and why was he being hugged?

He stormed out of the house and decided to go and see Tang Yue. Since he had spent three million, he would have to take back the flying car he had bought her.

An hour later, he saw Mei Mei’s post on weibo, she was showing off the bracelet and she called it a gift from sweet A Zhe.

Mo Liang’s mood rotted even further, so mush so that he was not paying attention and he crushed into another flying car in the sky so hard that it went spinning and crushed into two other cars.

As the emergency hover drones of the cars were deployed and all of the cars gently fell to the ground, he had a sick feeling that he was still going to get involved with the police and somehow, this small accident was going to turn into a scandal.

Mo Liang blamed the accident on Mei Mei and Jingzhe, especially Jingzhe. He would not have lost a lot of money if not for him.

"I need to get that idiot out of my house." he muttered.
