Chapter 399: World-Wide Broadcast

Sage Louie was the headmaster at the magic academy in Vista, and he had long tried to develop an ancient spell without success.

However, Sage Astra urged Louie to continue his research after Ichiro and Melina visited the Mage’s Tower.

The old woman said that his spell would be invaluable in the future, and while Louie didn’t mind pouring his time into his research, he wasn’t sure why it would be so necessary.

With the help of his best friend, Sage Devon, the two continued the research for the ancient spell for months while traveling to different cities in the world.

While they were making their way to Kalusia on a boat, the two old sages were sitting next to each other, reading magic grimoires to continue their investigation.

"Hmmm, there are plenty of records that talk about the spell, but it doesn’t make it any easier, huh?" Devon commented.

"I read that only one sage apart from Sage Kyoko was able to cast it. Considering she was the one who invented it, I’m guessing he must have personally learned from her..." Louie replied. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

A few months passed after the sages arrived at Kalusia, and their research never stopped.

Suddenly, they received news on their voice crystals, given to them by Ichiro, and heard that Guanghua had been freed from the devil governing it.

Luckily for the old sages, their research was finished, and using the freedom of Guanghua as their cue, they split up and went to different countries.

Devon traveled from Kalusia all the way north through the western continent, stopping at every capital or small town he could find and leaving small, white crystals with the rulers of the territories.

His travels came to an end when he reached the Sephyr Kingdom Capital, his home, handing the king and queen one of the white crystals.

On the other hand, Sage Louie traveled to the eastern continent, where he managed to give one of the crystals to the dwarves outside Durinhold so they could bring it to his king.

Moreover, Louie also found a couple of elven hunters wearing glasses near the barrier protecting their forest and handed the crystal to them.

Knowing that he didn’t have enough time to deliver the crystals to the remaining countries, Louie asked a group of mages from the tower to complete the task for him while he traveled to the Northern Empire.

It took him days to get there and a few more days to reach the capital, which was engulfed in a giant battle that expanded to the outskirts of the city.

Still, he needed to get the best view possible of the entire area, and as he flew towards the center, he crossed paths with Ichiro, who seemed somewhat stressed.

The sage mentioned he had completed his spell, but Ichiro didn’t seem that interested as he looked around for enemies.

When the sage finally reached the top of the Steel Castle in the city’s center, he pointed his palm at the sky, generating a soft beam of light where small shards crystalized.

As the sage closed his fist, the shards flew away at high speeds in every direction. Still, the man wasn’t done.

Raising both of his arms forward, he made a gesture as if he was opening a window, and a virtual-looking interface appeared before him, showing different screens that were recording the events happening at the location of the shards.

On one screen, he could see Ichiro and Fuego standing before Drakzen and the Rock Dragon.

In another, Melina and Nessa were battling Baelzor and a group of greater demons.

Louie had twelve screens in front of him, each showing a different side of the city, and as he gazed at the bottom of the screen, there seemed to be a red button.

"We already tested it, but I hope it works..." the sage muttered to himself, pressing the button.

At that moment, every single white crystal distributed around the world generated a massive screen, showing the events unfolding in the Northern Empire in real-time.

The images were large enough for people to gather in the plazas of their cities to watch Sage Louie’s live feed. After a few seconds of starting, the man closed his fist so that his voice could be heard.

"People of the world. This is the reality we have been living...!" Louie exclaimed, his voice echoing in every country in the world.

"As devils terrorize our world, two young sages are doing their best to put a stop to it. This is the truth that you all deserve to know!" The sage continued.

In End Town, the villagers gathered in the center of their settlement to watch the broadcast as Triana Sephyr held the white crystal in her hand to show the others.

"Oi, is that Ichiro!?" A villager shouted before the screen changed to show Melina.

At the Sephyrs’ castle, Melina’s parents and little sister perked up and clenched their fists when the image showed the princess exchanging powerful blows against a devil. However, everyone saw Nessa with her horns supporting her.

In Guanghua, the new emperor, Renjun, was watching the feed with his family, and while he kept a severe expression, Yujun and Leslie were cheering for their older brothers to defeat the devils.

The people of Kyotora were on the same boat, as the citizens stopped everything they were doing to watch the fate of the Northern Empire.

Princess Yuki’s family were watching attentively, considering sending more reinforcements for the princess, but they knew that they wouldn’t have time to make it before the battle ended.

In Lotus, Keiko’s father was watching the battle, his fists clenched and small drops of sweat coming down hist temple from the nerves.

The beastkins in Kalusia seemed to be getting ready for battle while watching the feed, even though they were in the country further away from it.

Empress Lyssandra, who was watching inside her palace with her sister and her servants, kept a serious expression and ordered her army to get ready.

"Seems like it’s going to start pretty soon..." Lyssandra muttered.
