My Wife and I Became Sages in Another World-Chapter 412: The New Continent, G’Henna
Chapter 412: The New Continent, G’Henna
During the aftermath of the battle, an injured Jackson approached the unconscious Ichiro, carrying him on his shoulder before slowly walking back to the city.
Half of the Iron Capital had been destroyed, and the knights and soldiers who could still move were helping citizens trapped under the rubble while healing their wounds.
After Drakzen used his black vial, the red sky was still shrouded with black clouds, but only Jackson knew what this meant.
When Jackson caught up to Ichiro and prevented Drakzen from killing him, the devil escaped, knowing that he didn’t have enough stamina to face the redhead. However, it didn’t matter since Drakzen had accomplished his goal.
The broadcast that was being captured by Sage Louie’s crystals had to be shut down after the Earth Dragon lifted the entire city in the air. Still, after Drakzen escaped, he resumed the broadcast to showcase the aftermath.
Melina woke up the following day, finding herself on a large bed with Ichiro beside her and all of their familiars sitting around them.
The rulers from every nation in the world were asking about Ichiro’s and Melina’s well-being, especially Melina’s parents, who were considering taking a magic quartz to teleport themselves to the north.
Thankfully, Arashi and Vespera spoke to everyone and sent them messages using their voice crystals to confirm their health.
After Melina had awoken, she instantly tried to wake Ichiro, but the man didn’t budge as his MP had depleted too much.
They had been given a room inside the castle at the Iron Capital, which was mostly destroyed, and even the emperor wasn’t living there as the place needed urgent remodeling.
Nevertheless, the new emperor, Thorgest, deemed Ichiro and Melina the true saviors of their land, so he decided to give them the only room available for them to recover.
While Melina ate a hearty meal, Sage Devon visited their room at the castle and gave her a brief summary of what happened after they lost consciousness.
Since Drakzen managed to absorb the corpses of both Fuego and the Earth Dragon, he opened his black vial and released an ancient seal that had been placed in another land.
Melina didn’t understand what he meant by another land, and the sage decided to leave that explanation to someone else—Jackson and Nessa.
When Nessa entered the room, she rushed towards Melina and gave her a hug, with a tear forming in her eyes.
"I was so worried..." Nessa commented, hugging Melina tightly, who embraced her back with a solemn demeanor.
"There’s a... big problem," Jackson interjected their heartfelt reunion.
The man explained that after Drakzen opened the black vial and released the dark magic inside of it, he brought back the land of the demons to their world—G’Henna.
"Hmm?" Melina hummed, dropping her head laterally in confusion.
Neither Melina nor Ichiro were able to feel it since they were unconscious, but there was an earthquake that shook all of the continents right after Drakzen opened the vial.
The red sky and black clouds remained in the environment for almost an entire day until it eventually seemed to drift toward G’Henna.
"Drift to it? Where is that ’G’Henna’ place?" Melina inquired.
"It’s to the south of this continent..." Jackson replied.
Melina didn’t know what to think of it initially. She couldn’t understand if G’Henna was a city, a flying island, or an entirely new continent. However, Jackson and the sages had a way to show a more clear picture.
Sage Louie was able to send one of his broadcasting crystals to the south of the continent, crossing a large piece of the sea before he could capture the new massive continent that had appeared in their world.
It seemed like a gigantic wall made of obsidian stone, surrounding a large piece of land that was just as black as the barrier protecting it. Moreover, the sky turned bright red the closer the crystal got to G’Henna.
Melina remembered Ichiro talking about a submerged island that he had found while on his way to the north, but she had no way of checking if it was the same land. freewёbnoνel.com
"It is..." Jackson commented, clearing her doubts.
Still, the redhead wanted to explain everything in more detail when everyone was awake and healthy, referring to Ichiro, who was still deep in slumber.
Melina agreed with his request and decided to use her time helping the survivors.
Most of them were camping or staying in destroyed buildings, and Melina considered rebuilding the Iron Capital. However, she found the city to be awfully constructed.
It was built in a way that the city was separated by different rings, with the wealthiest and higher-ranking officials living closer to the center while the commoners lived in the outer rings.
If the princess hadn’t received her memories from her previous life, she wouldn’t have even considered this idea, as it could be seen as the princess from another country trying to conquer or gain favor with another nation.
However, the moment Melina remembered her entire past life with Ichiro, she didn’t think of herself as a real princess, so she decided she would just follow her heart and do what she wanted—the same as Ichiro.
It took three whole days for Ichiro to recover, during which Melina took down the walls of the Iron Capital and connected all of the rings.
Meanwhile, their companions were helping rebuild the homes of the citizens, using magic to create better construction materials for their walls and floors.
The Iron Capital had lots of iron furnaces around the city, which were supposed to warm up the area. However, they released a lot of smoke and fumes, so Melina decided to take them away and replace them with warming enchantments.
Apart from enchanting the streets to make them warmer, she also placed them on the homes they constructed.
It would take a bit more time for the Northern Empire to get back to what they were, but after surviving such an ordeal, Melina was sure that they would become an even greater nation.
