Chapter 456: The Final Battle Begins

As Drakzen and I kept exchanging blows against each other in the air, away from the platform, I managed to land a hit with my bo that blasted him downwards through the sea of clouds.

With the white haze hiding Drakzen for a second, I clapped my hands and cast wind magic to break them apart, and the devil used that opportunity to shoot a beam of shadows straight at my face.

Thankfully, the beam only grazed my hair after quickly whipping my head back to avoid it, and I retaliated by shooting a fiery beam of my own from my index finger. freewebnσvel.cøm

When the beam was about to hit him, Drakzen raised his blade and halted the spell with it, generating flaming sparks at the point of impact before he waved it to the side, redirecting the fiery beam downwards.

’This bastard...’ I thought, but I wasn’t angry at the fact that he stopped my attack but because he redirected it and landed on the back of the World Titan, who was fighting not too far from us.

Even though we were fighting slightly above the clouds, the massive titan and the primal demon kept throwing punches at each other, with their impacts producing loud shockwaves that made my bones tremble a bit.

Fortunately, the World Titan was extremely durable, so my fiery beam didn’t really do any damage to it other than a small burnt mark that could barely be seen from the sheer size of the machine.

After propelling myself forward and unleashing a barrage of attacks with my bo, Drakzen and I found ourselves fighting in between the giants.

The primal demon extended his arm to grab onto the titan, prompting us to fly upwards to avoid getting caught in the giant’s hand. Still, Drakzen took advantage of that moment to shoot a large shadowy projectile at me.

I protected myself with my bo, but the spell had weight behind it, pushing me down and making me land on the primal’s demon forearm.

Before the giant could move his arm, Drakzen landed in front of me, and we instantly started to strike each other with a barrage of fists and kicks, only to get interrupted by the titan slapping the primal demon’s arm away.

With our footing gone, Drakzen and I kept flying in the air at high speeds, avoiding the attacks of both the primal demon and the World Titan while also pummeling each other and shooting numerous spells.

At one point, the titan and the primal demon jumped back to gain distance, and when I saw the titan holding his arm forward with his palm open, I could see it gathering the magic flowing in the air in the shape of a ball, hovering in front of its hand.

On the other side, the primal demon had lowered his head slightly to point his horns at the titan, generating a shadowy orb in between the horns’ tips that made me widen my eyes with a bit of fear.

’That feels terrifying... So much demonic energy gathered on that spell,’ I thought, shivers running down my spine.

Knowing that the two of us were in the middle of a dangerous spot, Drakzen and I quickly flew away to avoid getting caught up in their gigantic spells.

The titan and the primal demon were almost as tall as G’Henna’s tower— I mean, the World Titan was literally sitting hugging a mountain when I found it, so their attacks and spells were incredibly large.

Even when we tried flying away, the moment the two released their spells, they collided with each other and generated a massive explosion that still blasted Drakzen and me away from their fight.

Honestly, it was the first time that I had been blown away that far, and I only stopped after getting my back stamped against a tall rocky formation.

A second later, Drakzen crashed on another rock near me, though his landing seemed a bit more painful than mine.

We had landed in a forest made of tall rocks that had the shape of towers. Of course, they weren’t as tall as G’Henna’s tower, but they were still impressively tall.

The rocks had the same obsidian facade as the rest of the entire Lost Continent, although their shapes looked as if the ground had been pinched and pulled up.

As the two of us stood at the tip of two different pillars, I pointed my palm forward and released a massive wave of flames, prompting Drakzen to move to another pillar to avoid getting roasted.

When he answered in kind by shooting hundreds of small shadowy projectiles from the sky as if it were raining, I clapped my hands together and produced a blinding flash of light that dissipated some of the shadows.

Still, I got hit by a few of them, but the damage I took was too insignificant to make me slow down my moves.

While we kept blasting each other against the rocky formations, I managed to grab Drakzen by the arm and threw him with all my might against the stone pillars, making the devil break through numerous columns with his body and completely demolish them.

After the momentum of my throw died down, Drakzen quickly fixed his gaze on me and raised his arm upward, instantly making all of the falling stones stop in mid-air and hover around him.

With a flick of his wrist, the hovering stones lit up in dark flames—and as Drakzen smiled evilly, he waved his arm down and made the boulders shoot out at incredible speeds toward me.

However, even after I avoided some of the flaming stones, I noticed they weren’t falling down to the ground. Instead, the boulders would redirect themselves to target me, so I had to evade the projectiles coming from the front and the ones returning from the back.

When the lightbulb atop my head lit up with an idea, I flew straight toward Drakzen while avoiding the flaming boulders, knowing that there were at least four or five of them tailing me.

The moment I got close to the devil, I changed directions abruptly to go upwards and made the rocks following me crash into Drakzen.

Unfortunately, the devil raised his palm and managed to turn the debris into dust before it could strike him, but at least I wasn’t annoyed by the homing projectiles anymore.

Before we could continue our onslaught, we were both distracted by a sudden explosion coming from the skies, making us turn our heads to look at what was happening.

I could sense Melina and Xalathas’ aura, and when a streak of blue lightning crashed against another streak of red lightning, the clouds turned dark and thunderous all around us.
