The Growth of a Titan-Chapter 392- Visitors Bearing Bad News
Chapter 392: Chapter 392- Visitors Bearing Bad News
Sol gave Cian a glance before he suddenly displayed a smile as well.
"I’ll see for myself if that’s the case."
Sol said referring to the upcoming tournament.
Battle intent suddenly flickered past Cian’s eyes upon hearing Sol’s words.
Despite everything, he was still a proud genius that stood head and shoulder above his peers. Meeting someone as strong as Sol was a rarity that he greatly welcomed.
However, the battle intent soon disappeared from Cian’s eyes to be replaced by a hopeful expression.
"Brother Sol..."—Cian glanced at the bracelets on Sol’s wrists before continuing—"My sister might have foreseen this situation so she sent me here. I was never able to keep that bastard in check so it had always been a problem, could you help?"
Sol’s curiosity about Cian’s sister grew a bit more, as from the sounds of it she could foresee someone’s future, which was an extremely mystical and terrifying ability.
Sol paused for a moment then said.
"You can forget about receiving one of my bracelets if that’s what you desire."
Cian was slightly dejected when he heard that, but he knew that Sol couldn’t give even one of these up given his current circumstances. However, Sol’s next words caused his heart to leap with joy.
"But I might still be able to help you out a bit."
After saying that, Sol formed a hand seal with his right hand. The blue rune appeared on the back of his hand and glowed with a soft blue light.
What looked to be a translucent copy of the rune floated up from Sol’s hand and hovered between the two.
Cian looked on in fascination as Sol began using his finger to add a few lines within this circular rune that already held a few intricate lines.
As Sol drew with his finger in the air, he explained.
"I studied the runes on these bracelets so I could further seal my bloodline aura that was leaking out after my breakthrough. If I added what I learn to this rune then it should be able to prevent that thing from easily coming out."
Cian was somewhat shocked by that, and he couldn’t help but look at the blue rune flickering on the back of Sol’s hand in amazement.
"What kind of magic symbol is it?"
Sol paused and it seemed he was reluctant to answer, he had already said more than enough. And this even related to Su Jin which he didn’t want to talk about. If he did, he might just get angry on Abdu’s behalf.
But in the end, he still said.
"It’s a formation created by a father who wanted nothing more than to protect his son."
Cian sensed Sol’s unwillingness to explain in detail, so he tactfully didn’t ask any more questions. However, as he continued looking at the rune Sol was constructing in mid-air, his heart began to stir.
He could actually sense a type of sealing aura that affected his Holy Crest! Cian couldn’t’ help but start to get more excited at this, especially after Sol’s hand finally stopped after a while.
"This is merely a projection of the true sealing formation that would normally have dissipated after a while, but I modified it so it could sustain its sealing effects as well as be simple to control. However, because of this, the sealing effects diminished somewhat."
Cian shook his head.
"No, this is perfect, thank you, Brother Sol."
Cian stood up and cupped his fist towards Sol.
Sol didn’t respond and only waved his hand and sent the now faintly golden rune flying toward Cian. It was branded on his forehead before fading away.
Cian closed his eyes to get familiar with this sealing rune. After a minute or two, he opened his eyes and released a breath of air.
Within that breath was a type of relief from a burden that had been suffocating him for many years.
Cian once again cupped his fist and showed his thanks using Jianghu’s customs.
Sol waved his hand dismissively and was about to say it wasn’t that big of a deal, however, a voice suddenly interrupted him.
"Sol! Are you back?!"
Sol immediately stood up and excused himself. He left Cian at the table forcefully drinking more tea and trying to pat a reluctant Little Zeel, and hurriedly went to the front gate.
The voice came from Yoon-Jae.
The sun had just set, and silver moonlight shone down on the manor.
Sol made it to the front gate and opened it. He saw that Yoon-Jae wasn’t the only one there, Ushi was standing behind him with his head lowered.
From the slightly angry expression on Yoon-Jae’s face, it seemed something had happened regarding Ushi.
Sol opened his mouth to ask what prompted the visit, but his eyes suddenly flashed, and he took a step forward to poke his head outside his gate.
Suddenly, he came face to face with Byeong-Ho who was casually leaning his back against the gate.
He wore the Huashan Sect’s black robes with pink designs, while an ordinary-looking sword was strapped to his waist, which Sol recognized to be the Immortal Sword. But as of now, there was no aura radiating from it that would make one think it had such unfathomable origins.
Smiling, Sol said.
"Brother Byeong-Ho, you’re here too?"
Sol was smiling, but deep inside he was slightly shaken. He had made it a habit to keep his omnipresence senses extended around his body, but it actually took him a while to sense that Byeong-Ho was here.
For that brief moment, it felt like Byeong-Ho had melded with the void and erased his presence. However, even now as Sol’s senses swept over him, he felt a slight stabbing pain in his soul.
It was as if Sol was reaching out with his hand and tapping his finger on the tip of a sword. If he did it too hard it might just pierce his soul.
This gave Sol quite a fright, but after calming down he figured this was normal for someone like Byeong-Ho.
Byeong-Ho had his arms folded and eyes closed. When he heard Sol’s greeting, he opened his eyes and turned to smile at him. His smile was neither overly happy nor overly sad, it was just perfect.
"I came to talk to you about an important matter, I just happened to see Brother Yoon-Jae and Brother Ushi."
Sol nodded before turning back to Yoon-Jae, who said.
"No time to idle here let’s go in! This is something important so I’ve called over Mar-Dule as well, he should be coming soon."
After saying that, Yoon-Jae pushed his way past Sol into the manor, all while dragging Ushi by the collar.
Ushi showed an indignant as well as a helpless expression as he tried to explain.
"Eldest Brother Yoon-Jae, I truly had forgotten to mention this matter, I didn’t-"
"Shut up!"
Yoon-Jae angrily cut off Ushi while shooting him a glare. Afterward, he continued dragging him further into the manor.
Byeong-Ho entered the manor as well before Sol closed the gate and followed after them. He wondered what had happened, though he could sense that neither Byeong-Ho nor Yoon-Jae came with good news.
