The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 615: Elliana’s outburst
Chapter 615: Elliana’s outburst
"Elliana, baby, who is she?" Azura asked her daughter, who stood there with a neutral expression.
"Why don’t we take the introductions from the girl herself?" Elliana asked, her gaze shifting to her father, who looked equally confused.
The thought that her father didn’t know about anything strengthened even more, and she gulped, unsure of what she wanted to hear anymore.
Ari stood there, looking at everyone helplessly, her fists clenched as she became the centre of everyone’s attention, including the witches supporting her from the beginning. Even they wanted to know what kind of position she held in the white witch kingdom.
Prakrith told them to listen to her and follow whatever she ordered. With her facial features, they doubted who exactly she was, but they still wanted to hear it from her.
"I... I... " Ari’s eyes brimmed with tears, and she looked down at her feet, remembering what her mother said to her once.
’So what if sometimes we are weak? We don’t win with the strength we hold but with our mindset. People can only look down upon you if you allow them to. Be proud of who you are and have more faith in yourself. That way, no one will ever be able to make fun of you,’ Her mother told her.
With a sigh, she lifted her head and looked straight into the eyes of Queen Azura, who was the most hurt by her presence.
"I am Queen Arizona’s daughter," Ari said, and Azura immediately nodded.
"I know that. I know you are Arizona’s daughter. What I want to know is who your father is," Azura asked, and King Eros felt something was wrong when Ari looked at him.
Why was this girl looking at him?
"The man standing beside you," Ari said.
Elliana closed her eyes as she heard collective gasps from all around.
She could see it coming, but hearing about it wasn’t particularly great.
"Eros, what is she saying?" Azura looked at King Eros, her gaze darkening.
It was hard for her to believe. And she wanted to hear the words from her husband.
There was no way she was going to believe that while she was mourning his death and her loss, he was bedding another woman and not just another woman but her sister. No. It wasn’t acceptable.
Azura stepped close to her husband, who shook his head.
"I don’t know what this girl is talking about either, Azura. Is there some kind of misunderstanding?" King Eros asked, and Ari clenched her teeth.
"I am only seven months younger than Elliana," Ari said, wanting them to put two and two together themselves. King Eros’s eyes widened when the realization dawned upon him.
"Your mother, Queen Arizona, she..."
"Yes," Ari said. Even though she was a little ashamed of the method her mother used, she didn’t want them to see it. Her mother, who was in trouble, didn’t deserve it.
"Was that the reason she stayed with Elliana cooped up in that room after locking the powers of the Siren queen inside her in the name of keeping her in a Magna incubation?" Nathaniel asked, gritting his teeth.
Now, everything made sense to him.
At that time, after the Siren queen died and locked her powers inside Elliana to keep her alive, Arizona meticulously went inside the hidden place of the Himalayas where no one apart from Prakrith was allowed to enter.
She told him it was Magna’s incubation for Elliana to get used to the powers inside her.
Even when he used to go and see Elliana, it was always Prakrith who brought her out. They used to say that Queen Arizona couldn’t exit the incubation room because if she did, Elliana’s Magna shield would break, and she might die.
He was also young and naive at that time and used to believe everything they used to tell him. At the end of the day, it was all for Elliana.
Nathaniel looked at Elliana to see what kind of reaction she had, but to his surprise, she was just standing there with a neutral expression.
"We heard you. Now, tell us what you are here for. Did Prakrith tell you that you can come to us for help, and we are the only ones who can free your mother from Azrael’s trap?" Elliana asked, leaning on one of the pillars casually.
Ari, who was there exactly for what Elliana said, widened her eyes.
"H-how did you-" Ari stuttered.
Prakrith had already warned her that if there was anyone that she needed to stay careful of, it was Elliana. Though the girl appeared petite and tamed, she was still the only one who could successfully nullify all the attacks on herself unknowingly.
Whether it was about the locket in her neck that Arizona had placed meticulously to locate her, the cut on her hand that Azrael had used to flow her energy into her to steal her Magna, the attacks from Leila, or the Maze Arizona created, only she was able to tackle them all, and it was all because of her presence of mind.
"Elliana, baby, are you really thinking about helping her? Why should we help her? Her mother deceived us, and now her daughter is here to ask for help. What a fat joke," Azura raised her voice, making Ari flinch slightly, and Elliana sighed.
"Calm down, Mom," Elliana stood straight before looking at her father.
"Why do you blame the kid for something the parents did?" Elliana’s words were sharp, and Azura couldn’t believe her own daughter.
Was she really siding with the enemy right now? Can’t she see her mother’s pain?
"Elliana-" King Eros started, but Elliana raised her hand, making the man immediately shut up.
Ari looked at the girl in pure amazement and envy.
Here she was, who wasn’t even allowed to call this man her father and look at this girl stopping King Eros from speaking just with her hand.
Wasn’t the situation really ironic?
"Please refrain from talking about anything personal. I am here to talk about business only. You want to give excuses for your actions. I don’t need them," Elliana said.
Seeing her daughter talking to her father like this, Azura huffed displeasingly.
"Elliana, this is not how you talk to your father," Azura said.
Nathaniel was about to tell Azura to keep quiet when he saw the smirk on Elliana’s face.
From what he has seen for so long, whenever she smirks like that, it promises nothing good and only a series of taunting words that show you your place.
"Is that so, Mom?" Elliana asked, and Nathaniel sighed.
"Elliana," Nathaniel shook his head at her, and the girl merely pressed her lips into a thin line before humming.
Nathaniel heaved a sigh of relief, but if he thought he dodged a bullet, he was wrong.
"Why are you stopping her, Nathaniel? Even I want to hear what she has to say to her parents. I can see she is happier siding with our enemy’s daughter," Azura, who was equally hurt by the revelation and was just trying to channel her anger somewhere, looked at Elliana with a hurt expression.
Elliana didn’t say anything.
"Whatever you need to talk to me about, we will do it later. I don’t think there is any need to stay here when everyone is so emotionally sensitive," Elliana started walking, but in the next second, Azura used her magic and made a wall in front of Elliana to stop her from moving.
"I am talking to you, young lady," Azura said.
Elliana sighed and looked at her mother.
"What do you want to hear, Mother? What was wrong with what I said? Why do we kids have to bear with the aftermath of what our elders did? Let’s start with King Eros since he is the centre of attention here," Elliana said before she looked at her father.
"My half-brother Nathaniel suffered and didn’t get his mother’s or father’s love because he banished him from the kingdom. Why? Because he was a mixed-breed kid. Was he born like that himself?
Who asked him to marry a white witch in the first place? And if he did and got a child, he should have been man enough to be able to fight the world for his baby because that’s what a father is supposed to do! But he was more interested in staying a king. Why do you think his mother died? She died in the pain and loss of her child," Elliana’s words were sharp, and King Eros looked at her wide-eyed because no one ever said those words to him like that.
"Then let’s jump to me. King Eros always knew that Queen Arizona had designs on him, but even after knowing that, the only person he could think of asking for help was her. Who made my life a living hell? Were the other clans dead and gone? My life wouldn’t have been like this, and Ari wouldn’t have been born and shamed like this if he hadn’t gone there for help," Elliana said.
"Elliana, sweetheart -"
"And don’t ever think you are any less responsible, Mom. Didn’t you want to kill me too? And I am not talking about before you found out I was your daughter. I am talking about the time when you found out I wouldn’t be able to make it even before I was born. You wanted to kill me from the very beginning," Elliana said, her sharp words cutting through their hearts.
"And I am sure I don’t need to tell you what your other sisters did. So don’t you dare tell me that we kids are not suffering the consequences of what your elders did," Elliana said, shutting everyone with her words.
