Chapter 620: Deception

As King Eros used his teleportation powers to teleport themselves to where Prince Angelo was, Elliana felt something was still amiss.

A part of her was screaming at her to look at the things and the events from a different perspective. There was something important she was missing, but seeing how Glow’s life was in danger, she wanted to save her first and think about all the other things later.

"Is this the place?" Elliana asked her father, who nodded at her.

She looked around, confused.

If this was the place, then why was she not able to see anything?

"It’s behind this illusional door that I created for you. Are you ready for this?" King Eros asked his daughter once again, the protective feeling towards his baby rising in his heart again.

Elliana nodded in reassurance, her pupils dilating a bit when she saw a rope kind of hunter’s whip appearing around her father’s shoulders.

She knew what it was. When she woke up in Queen Azura’s room one time, she saw this rope placed neatly in one of the glass containers, glowing with its own light.

It was the whip of justice that burns and flows with her father’s hellfire.

"I am ready," Elliana said, and as soon as she said that, King Eros placed his finger on the illusional partition, making it crack and break into hundreds of pieces like a glass door.

Elliana looked at what looked like an abandoned building and the strong stench of blood that wafted through her nostrils, made her eyes droop immediately.

She didn’t waste a single second and used her magic to rush forward.

"What are you looking at, sister? Do you think what I am doing is wrong? But why? Out of everyone, you should be the one person to understand what I feel. Don’t you think that our family performed favoritism for too long for their own good?

Everything was about the elder Prince and keeping the youngest prince in check. The throne fight was between them, the most grand introduction belonged to them, and everything was theirs. What about us? What about the other kids in the family?"

Prince Angelo asked Glow, whose eyes were barely open because of fatigue and all the emotional torture he was making her go through.

"Why are you not saying anything and only glaring at me? I might not know sign language, but I can read your eyes pretty well. Why can’t you side with me? Hmm? Is it because of Princess Elliana? Because Princess Elliana is on their side and your loyalty only lies with her?" Prince Angelo asked with a smirk.

"Well, don’t fret over it. It’s going to change soon too. Are you listening to me? Princess Elliana will be here and begging me to-" Prince Angelo couldn’t complete his sentence because in the next second Glow spat on him, making the man freeze in his place for a second.

He looked at his elder sister in pure anger as he wiped the liquid from his face.

"Y-you-" His body shook with anger, and he picked up the silver dagger from the side of the table, ready to plunge it straight into her abdomen where that useless kid was growing.

"No one is on my side, and thus, I don’t need to show pity to anyone," Prince Angelo said before he pulled his hand back to swing it forward with a force.

However, before the knife could even come only a few inches close to Glow’s abdomen, someone grabbed the dagger, making Prince Angelo turn to his right side where Princess Elliana was standing, her hand bleeding from gripping the sharp side of the blade.

Glow’s eyes widened as soon as she saw her boss, her savior, and a whimper left her mouth.

Seeing her subordinate flailing her body, trying to be free from the ropes with a wronged expression on her face, Elliana couldn’t even worry about the wound on her hand as she looked directly into Prince Angelo’s eyes.

She used her magic and the dagger melted in his hand, making him wince and drop the handle of the dagger.

"So you are finally here," Prince Angelo said.

He was about to grab Elliana’s hand, when his hand froze in its place, surprising him.

What was happening? Angelo wondered as he looked at his hand that wasn’t even moving forward, let alone grabbing Elliana.

He grabbed his right hand from his left hand, trying to move it, but to no avail could he move, making Elliana scoff in his face.

"Your witch gave you an anti-locator pendant, but she forgot to tell you that you are practically even more prone to magical attacks than any other vampire because this pendant feeds on your own aura?" Elliana asked as she bent and cupped Glow’s cheeks, her hand moving to her neck before her eyes glowed with a violet gleam.

"Ssshh, don’t be afraid. I am here," Elliana clicked her fingers, and the chains immediately came undone, making Glow push herself out of the seat and hug Elliana as if her life depended on it.

Elliana looked at Prince Angelo with scorn as she let Glow hug her, knowing how much the girl needed it.

"I was scared. We came out of the registration office, and he kidnapped me. He...he... Marcello -" Glow signed frantically with her hands.

Elliana looked at her father.

"Dad, can I trust you to handle this matter?" Elliana asked her father who was looking at his daughter’s bond with a vampire earlier.

"Do we want him dead?" King Eros asked, and Elliana looked at Prince Angelo, who was seething with anger.

"No. We only -" Elliana started, but the scoff from Prince Angelo stopped her from saying anything further.

"Dead? Do you really think you can hurt me and nothing will happen to you? I am amazed at your wishful thinking," Prince Angelo said, still trying to act tough.

Elliana smiled while caressing Glow’s hair as the vampire was still hugging her with her face stuffed in the crook of her neck, her body still shaking from all the fear.

"What makes you so confident that we won’t be able to do anything, Prince Angelo? I really didn’t want to intervene earlier because you are still my brother-in-law, but after what you did to one of my people, even when knowing I can take anything but a scratch on her body, I think I shouldn’t show you any pity either. Just like you didn’t show her any pity,"

Elliana pushed Glow away slightly and helped her on the clean chair. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

"Are you so confident because you have this witch siding with you?" Elliana asked as she clicked her fingers, and the witch helping Angelo earlier, appeared in front of them with a scared look on her face.

Angelo stiffened in his place.

He knew Elliana was very powerful when it came to magic, but he always thought that the mean witch who wanted to hurt Elliana and her subordinates was more powerful.

Now, seeing how the witch he thought would help him was shivering in Elliana’s presence, he wasn’t so sure anymore.

"Are you going to tell him what’s happening, or are you going to sacrifice your life at my disposal?" Elliana asked, looking unhurried.

The witch would have still tried to free herself and run away from Elliana’s grip by using the magic that would’ve made it hard for the girl to track her, but one look into King Eros’s eyes was enough for her to know that she was doomed and she gulped.

"I..." the witch stuttered.

"Do you think I have the entire day for this?" Elliana asked before she looked at Glow, who placed her head on her sides, leaning into her.

"Marcello," Glow expressed her worry and Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line.

"Marcello is with Mr. Marino. You don’t need to worry about him. Nothing will happen to him. You trust me?" Elliana asked.

"More than my life," Glow signed slowly, her every sign concise.

Elliana’s eyes brimmed with tears seeing how Glow didn’t have an ounce of anger in her eyes for her, even when she was the reason they got into this kind of mess.

"Stupid woman," Elliana said, looking away to blink back her tears while Glow placed her head back on Elliana’s hand to keep feeling her proximity.

The witch pressed her lips into a thin line and finally admitted her defeat.

"It was all a plan to keep Elliana distracted here. We all knew that you wouldn’t be able to do anything as a matter of fact. You had been useless to us from the very beginning," The witch paused for a second when she saw the animosity in Prince Angelo’s eyes.

"What are you saying?! Have you lost your mind? You were using me? It was a collaboration. We both were benefiting from each other, right?" Prince Angelo asked, his eyes turning dark at the potential deception from the witch’s side.
