Chapter 632: The Machine

"Madam, Leila has woken up," Kelly walked to Azrael as she sat in her seat, preparing the proportions of the magical bombs that she would use in the war to wipe the entire area where this bomb would be thrown.

Azrael’s fingers paused for a second before she sprinkled the powder into the solution.

"Is that so?" Azrael scoffed, her already dark expression becoming even uglier.

"I asked Tori to do some work along with her team. Was she able to do it?" Azrael asked, and Kelly nodded.

"Yes madam, we were able to steal the machine. The five elemental witches apparently found out about it and will report it to Elliana soon," Kelly said.

Azrael scoffed again.

What good would it bring to them? Will complaining to Elliana get them the machine again? Arizona made a terrible mistake leaving such ignorant witches in the kingdom.

They kept protecting the nation, thinking her witches were roaming over it to harm them, but they never once thought that it was all down to that one machine that Arizona created.

"That doesn’t matter. She can’t really do anything about it if we have gotten our hands on it already. Regarding Leila, I don’t think she would remember much about my maze and trap. And if she remembers anything, I guess it’s about time I act a bit, no? I have been staying silent for too long," Azrael said.

"What are you thinking of doing, madam?" Kelly asked. freewёbnoνel.com

Azrael scoffed before she picked the bomb that was formed.

She walked to the balcony of the area where she was staying temporarily before looking at the forest in front of her.

She raised her hand and formed a shield into the sky that would cover and contain the sound and effect of what she was going to do so that no one found out about her new weapon.

Once the shield was intact, she threw the bomb out of the balcony.

As soon as the bomb touched the ground, the sound of the blast echoed in the environment, making the shield tremble slightly because of the intensity.

Azrael looked at the vast area that was wiped off with the unrooted trees scattered around and the dead animals lying on the ground.

A smile appeared on her lips before she looked at Kelly, who immediately nodded at her boss.

"It’s around a 59 m area, Madam," Kelly said, and Azrael pressed her lips into a thin line.

"Hmm, the range is still an issue. But at least the effect is severe," She whispered before looking at the other three bombs on the table that were a failure.

"I am writing the procedure here. Share this with the team, and I want around 100 of these bombs prepared by the end of this week. Are we clear?" Azrael asked, and Kelly nodded.

These bombs, quite different from the ones created by humans, actually use a lot of concentration and Magna, and one mistake or flicker of focus can lead to disaster and failure.

Azrael had better things to handle than creating the bombs.

She wrote the things on the paper before providing it to Kelly, who bowed to her in respect and vanished into thin air.

It wasn’t long before the team that had gone to steal the machine from the white witch kingdom appeared in the hall, and Azrael raised her brows when she noticed how vast it was.

"Good-" Azrael was about to say when she noticed how her witches were barely standing.

She clicked her hands to put a veil of invisibility on the machine before she clapped her hands and asked the witch who entered to send twelve witches inside.

"Yes, madam," The witches immediately said as they looked at the twelve disheveled witches in front of them who were barely able to stand.

"Share some of your Magna with them to help them heal faster," Azrael said as she looked at the machine that only she was able to see with a condescending smile.

This machine was really one of a kind. It contained so much power that it was enough to even kill her, let alone Elliana or her sisters.

No wonder her witches looked like they were on the verge of dying just because they were stealing it and had to use their magic to hide it from the rest of the world while doing so.

Once the twelve witches who had gone for the work looked a bit better and their pale complexion returned to normal, Azrael asked the supporting witches to leave before looking at them.

"Tell me. Was there anything else you saw that we can use for our benefits?" Azrael asked, and the witches looked at each other.

"This machine wasn’t the only thing in that room, madam. Your elder sister has collected quite a few machines for all kinds of work. Also, it looks like she has been collecting the Magna of the dying witches too," One of the witches said, and Azrael, who was keeping her potions back in their original place, paused in her steps.

What did she say?

"Elaborate," Azrael said, her unwavering attention on the witches now.

"I am not sure, but from what I could see, there was a stone in the room that contained an enormous amount of Magna. It looks like, all the witches who died in the last twenty years, Arizona captured the Magna of those dying witches. Wasn’t that exactly how she was able to give Elliana that pendant?" The witch said, and her words sent Azrael deep in thoughts.

A stone with Magna? What for?

Don’t tell her that Arizona really had a soft spot for Elliana, and she was planning to give that stone to the girl to help her with her siren powers. After all, the magna of a dying witch is the strongest in her entire life apart from while she is giving birth.

"And why don’t I see that stone in front of me?" Azrael asked.

"The pendant was unreachable. It was chanted under some kind of spell in a completely different language. Unlike this machine, you already know that the chants on the stones work differently, and we need the exact language or a spell that can cut it before touching the stone if we don’t want our hand to melt," the witch said, and Azrael gritted her teeth.

She really doesn’t like it when someone tells her there is something she can’t get her hands on.

"In that case, you guys can leave. I will ask the witch herself what kind of spell she cast on that stone that you guys couldn’t pick," Azrael said, and the witches left immediately, vanishing into thin air.

As soon as the witches left, Azrael clicked her fingers, and the settings of the room started to change completely.

The bright lights immediately turned off, the chandeliers were replaced by candle stands, the ceiling turned into skulls, and the perfectly patterned floor immediately became rough with pebbles and toughened cement. The curtains turned black with blood stains on the walls, the setting perfectly matching with her heart.

Cold and gothic.

Azrael looked at the prison bars of her maze that started appearing in front of her, her gaze falling on her mother first.

"How are you doing, mother?" She crouched down as she sat outside the prison while her mother lifted her head slightly, her fingers trembling.

"Y-you b*tch! Why are you still alive? Has the moon goodness not given you the punishment of your crimes?" Rebecca asked, and a condescending smile appeared on Azrael’s face.

What did she really expect from her mother?

"The moon goddess isn’t going to punish me until she punishes you. So don’t worry. you won’t get to see my demise. You will face your end first," Azrael said.

Rebecca chuckled.

"My end? My punishment? The goddess punished me when she gave me a daughter like you. A cold-hearted, homo, heritage-destroying, descending, pathetic, unloving, b*tch that I wished I had killed the moment I had seen her. No wonder you lost your baby too. Your baby would’ve killed you before the moon goddess could make a move," Rebecca’s words were sharp as always, and Azrael’s heart felt like it was pierced.

It was funny. Even after losing all her emotions and being heartless, her mother still had the power to hurt her, making her feel sadness, pain, and anger.

"If I were you, I would watch my words," Azrael gritted her teeth, the underlying threat clear in her voice.

"What can you really do to me? Torture me? Do it. You want to kill me? Do it. Does it really look like I give two damn about what you think or would do to me? I am just enraged that a b*tch like you is still alive and making my other daughters’ lives a living hell," Rebecca seethed.

"And who is to blame? Why am I like this in the first place? If you hadn’t -" Azrael stopped talking and took a deep breath.

"Well, I am not here to talk about the past that does not mean anything to you. What I am here to do is to talk to Arizona," Azrael said before kicking Arizona’s cell when she noticed she was lying unconscious.

Why is she not awake? Azrael’s brows furrowed and her pupils dilated when she noticed Arizona wasn’t breathing.
