Chapter 634: One hour break

"Mr. Marino? Where are you taking me?" Elliana asked as she walked ahead, trusting her husband, who had blindfolded her and was taking her somewhere.

Sebastian didn’t answer her while Elliana thought about all the memories they shared with this blindfold thing.

The way he used to place his hand on her eyes before kissing her when he didn’t have a blindfold in sight and used to tease her... A smile appeared on her lips at all the beautiful memories they created together.

"Just be patient, my lovely wife," Sebastian said before he looked at the stairs and picked her in his arms, almost making her squeal at the sudden action.

"I was walking just fine, you know," Elliana said, and Sebastian hummed.

"You still haven’t learned why I always pick you in my arms?" He asked as he kept walking.

He could’ve used his vampire speed to reach the destination quicker, but he wanted to use this opportunity to keep his wife closer to himself.

"To keep me close to your heart?" Elliana asked, and Sebastian hummed before he raised her slightly and kissed her temple.

"Now relax, sweetheart," he said.

Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line, her head a mess even when her heart was feeling calm and at home.

"How can I calm down, Mr. Marino? I have to go and meet those five elemental witches and see what they want to arrange a meeting for, then we have to go to the royal family. They have been summoning me for two days now. I just returned from hell, but Lord Ahriman said that I should visit again soon because my energies are a mess due to my lack of concentration. Then after all this, we have to collect more people for the battle who can help us. And what about you? You are ten times busier than me-" Elliana started speaking, and Sebastian sighed.

"I know, baby. I know we have to do all that, but for now, I want you to forget about all those things and just relax in my arms. Only one hour. You can give me that much from your busy schedule, right?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana, who was rambling about all the work, sighed before nodding.

She placed her head on his chest, a clear indication that she was relaxing or trying to relax as a matter of fact.

After what felt like an eternity but was only a few minutes, Sebastian finally stopped walking, and Elliana lifted her head, waiting for him to remove the blindfold from her eyes and let her see what he had in mind.

"Are you ready?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana hummed, her heart a little excited, building over the suspense that her husband was creating.

"Here you go," Sebastian placed her on the ground gently before he removed the blindfold from her eyes. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

Elliana blinked her eyes softly to get used to the light, the view in front of her confusing her a little.

She looked at what looked like large gates somewhere, making her turn to look at her husband.

"What is -" She started to ask but stopped when she heard the sound of the large gates opening.

She turned back to the direction of the gates, her eyes widening slowly when she saw what it was.

She didn’t move for a few seconds, and Sebastian got worried that she didn’t like the surprise when he felt her shoulders tremble slightly as if she was holding back her emotions.

"Princess-"

"Thank you!" Elliana exclaimed before she threw herself on him, making the guy stumble back as he held her, securing her so that she didn’t fall.

"When did you prepare all this?" She asked, and Sebastian smiled.

"What makes you think I won’t have time for us? I know we both have been awfully busy, but we can take some time off to ourselves, right?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana nodded with tears in her eyes as she placed her lips on her husband’s lips and kissed him passionately, her hands locked around his neck as she pressed herself further into him, enjoying the taste of his mouth.

"Baby, if you don’t stop now, I don’t think we will be using our one-hour break to enjoy these rides," Sebastian groaned, and Elliana chuckled through her tears as she pulled away slightly before sliding down and standing on her feet again.

They were currently standing in front of an amusement park that was decorated with balloons all around and a large board was standing inside the gates.

It said ’Happy birthday in advance, my angel, my goddess,’

There was no doubt that he must’ve been planning this for a couple of days for sure to give her this kind of surprise.

No one was in the entire amusement park apart from the workers to operate the systems and stalls if she wanted to eat anything.

He didn’t want her to stand in the line while they were short of time already.

"Which one would you like to ride first?" Sebastian asked as he looked at the excitement in the eyes of his wife, who was still a baby at heart.

"The scariest one," Elliana said, and Sebastian looked helplessly at her weird demand.

"Is that so? Should we go on that roller coaster then?" Sebastian pointed to the largest roller coaster.

Elliana immediately hooked her arms with his, pulling him hurriedly, making him chuckle at her enthusiasm.

How much he wished he could stop the time as it is to maintain this carefree smile on her face. Sebastian kept looking at his wife as he saw her climbing the stairs before she sat in the first seat.

However, she stopped and shook her head, making him confused.

"What happened, Princess?" Sebastian asked Elliana, who looked like she was contemplating something.

"The first seat is always the scariest. I don’t want you to be scared. Let’s sit in the second seat," Elliana said, and Sebastian’s gaze shifted to the operator vampire who smiled at her cuteness.

Was the King of the vampires who can kill and eat vampires in breakfast and dinner really that easy to scare? The one who can jump from a mountain would be scared of this little height?

However, one look into their king’s glaring eyes was enough for the operator to immediately look down in fear.

"Are you afraid for me, baby?" Sebastian asked her, pulling her cheeks, making her swat his hands away as he pushed her down on the first seat before sitting beside her.

"You can hold my hand. I will protect you," Elliana said, proud of her fearless attitude, and Sebastian smiled at her choice of words before taking her hand and intertwining his fingers with hers.

"In that case, I will be under your care, my wife," Sebastian said as the machine started, and the ride started to go up.

He could see the happiness in her eyes as her heartbeat increased its pace with each passing second as they were being taken up. He felt really content in the moment, seeing her so happy like this.

When he was preparing all this, he was really unsure if she would like this kind of surprise. However, two nights ago, he heard her talking to her mother.

He didn’t want to eavesdrop on their conversation, but hearing how scared his wife was broke his heart.

She was telling her mother how it felt like time was slipping from between her fingers. She wanted to survive, to live with him, to make happy memories together that they would cherish till eternity, but this war was taking too much from them.

It was a random thought that appeared in his head. But for his wife’s happiness, he wanted to do it.

Despite getting the ultimatum from the royal family who demanded her presence because they wanted to coax her about Prince Angelo’s matters, he wanted her to relax first.

She deserved that. She deserved every happiness in the world. And he was ready to provide her with that happiness even if the entire world would stand against them.

Sebastian rubbed her knuckles with his thumb as the ride went down, and he heard her shouting with happiness and an adrenaline rush.

"Mr. Marino! You shout too! It feels good!" Elliana said, and Sebastian chuckled at her again.

"I am good, princess," Sebastian said.

"Please. Do it with me," Elliana said again, and Sebastian sighed dejectedly.

It was quite childish, and he didn’t want to do it, but for his wife...

"AAaaa!" Sebastian shouted along with his princess, who giggled loudly, her voice, music to his ears while the subordinates who were standing at some distance to ensure their safety, smiled at their king and future queen who looked carefree and happy after such a long time.

Lucas smiled in happiness, thinking of the day the princess entered into their life.

It was an accidental marriage, but no one knows how thankful he has been to that day ever since. If he could really thank the moon goddess, he would do it in a minute because she not only brought life into his King’s dead eyes, but she filled the entire kingdom with happiness and brought them together.

And he was surely ready to kill and die for this lady who had his utmost respect. In fact, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that he started respecting her, even more than he respected his king these days.

He sighed as he looked at his vibrating phone that showed the number of Prince Stephano.

This call can wait. He won’t allow anyone to interrupt their King and Queen’s break hour.
