Chapter 642: Eve of the war day

The eve of the war day~~~~

"Elliana, this is the tenth time I am saying this to you. You have done more than enough. Let go of this position and relax," Lord Ahriman, who was given the task of training her concentration by none other than his friend Taipan, said to the girl, who was meditating while standing on one leg.

She didn’t listen. She just wanted to train for a few minutes more, probably increasing her chance of survival and winning by a few more minutes.

That’s all she wanted.

Lord Ahriman looked at the girl who was trying so hard and couldn’t help but sigh.

He could understand what she was going through. Or maybe it was more than his understanding.

Everyone was trying so hard that he felt regretful he wasn’t able to help his friends and family at all.

Why? Because they were the night creatures of hell, and if they interfered in something that wasn’t directly related to them, they would be directly answerable to the moon goddess’s wrath and might cause the rising of the ultimate goddess who would appear on earth not to end this war but to end everyone who caused this destructive war.

That was one of the curses on demons of hell.

It was also the reason why they were forced to live in hell, coming out occasionally just to hunt or when they wanted to meet people from other species. They were excluded from the beauty of the earth because of a sin their ancestors committed against the moon goddess herself by defying her as the eternal entity.

Lord Ahriman looked at the girl whose eyes were closed now and tears rolled down her cheeks because of how much pain she was enduring to concentrate on her siren powers.

She was getting much better at the communication between both kinds of powers inside her because of former king Luscious giving his enigmatic magna to her continuously, suppressing the siren powers greatly.

And thus, she needed to train so much.

Seeing that the girl was training regardless of her trembling body, Lord Ahriman was left with no choice but to summon his friend.

"This better be important,"

It was the first sentence King Eros said, but before Lord Ahriman could tell him why he called him, Sebastian, who had returned from his meeting, walked straight into the room without even knocking.

Rather than summoning Elliana to hell for her training, which would have caused her to lose some of her Magna and a little disturbance in her powers, Lord Ahriman took the initiative to appear in the Black Skull Palace this time since it was the eve of the war.

Seeing his wife’s trembling body, Sebastian didn’t waste a single second and threw his phone on the bed.

He walked to her and bent before swooping her in his arms, making her body immediately relax.

"Relax," he commanded her in a doting and loving tone, making her immediately wrap herself in his embrace.

"I will," She whispered without arguing as she let her body calm down and relax in his embrace.

Lord Ahriman and King Eros looked at each other in understanding before leaving the room to give the kids some space to themselves.

"So why did you summon me?" King Eros asked as he walked to the backyard where some guards were training and some were preparing explosives.

Some soldiers were checking their sniping capabilities.

"Honestly, I was worried that Elliana was being too harsh on herself. I was trying to let go of her position, but she wasn’t listening to me. That’s why I called you. However, I hadn’t expected Sebastian to come at the same time and handle the situation so smoothly," Lord Ahriman said before he looked at his friend.

It was true that his friend wasn’t as young and agile as earlier, but after his meeting from two weeks ago, it almost felt like he aged a lot in this short span. This war was taking a toll on everyone.

"What do you think about this war? Do you have any positive feelings towards it?" King Eros asked and Lord Ahriman hummed.

"I do," He said.

King Eros looked at his friend’s immediate answer.

"You sound a bit too confident for someone who isn’t going to participate in the war," King Eros said and Lord Ahriman chuckled.

"Go look at your daughter. And even if you are not satisfied with her, look at your son-in-law. Those two will win. I can bet my powers on them," Lord Ahriman said.

King Eros understood what his friend was trying to say and didn’t say anything else for some time.

Did he believe his daughter and son-in-law? Heck, even he was betting his powers and life on them.

It was funny to him how they were the elders and were supposed to be more powerful than them and have their kids trust them to save them, but they were relying on their kids shamelessly.

"I will be taking my leave now. But before that, I want to give this to you," Lord Ahriman pulled out a red-coloured stone from his pocket.

The stone was such a pure shade of red crystal that it almost looked like burning lava, and King Eros looked at his friend for an explanation.

Lord Ahriman looked at the large stone that was almost the size of his palm before looking at his friend.

"Give it to your daughter when she is lacking energy and wants to use the fire of hell. This stone will directly connect her to the lava of hell. It will make her attack and fire ten times more powerful. The enemy won’t be able to save itself from her attack," Lord Ahriman said before he hesitated.

King Eros wasn’t a fool.

Taking a hell’s stone from the demons? Even if the lord was his friend and was only thinking and wishing for his best, he was a little skeptical about it.

"What’s the catch?" King Eros asked.

Lord Ahriman chuckled immediately.

"You are surely a Taipan. I don’t call you that for nothing. There is no catch. If you guys win and this stone helps, just let me keep training her for some more time. There is something I want to check.

Just ask your daughter to use it when she is really weak. If she used the stone when she is full of Magna and power, the fire of hell might spread like a forest fire and even engulf the people on your side," Lord Ahriman said, and King Eros understood the problem before he sighed and nodded.

"Don’t worry about it. I will let her know. Is there anything else?" He asked, and Lord Ahriman shook his head.

"I hope you win. I will be watching the war too. The war will start tomorrow and I know judging from how cunning Azrael is, she might try something weird, but try to end it tomorrow itself. If things get delayed, we don’t know what she will pull," Lord Ahriman said.

King Eros could see what he was hinting at. Elliana already warned them about Azrael having people who could imitate others, and the fact was quite scary for all of them.

Just to be on the safe side, they even decided on a few terms to be used with each other as soon as they felt something was particularly off about someone.

This would prevent them from getting fooled.

The lines were a secret to the S class, A class, B class and C class teams along with all the members and leaders of the higher position.

At the same time, Sebastian leaned into his wife’s embrace as they lay on the bed to attend to each other.

"I am tired. Is it okay if I rest for some time in your lap?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana smiled.

"Relax in my arms," She said, letting him hug her in a way that his head was on her chest as she half leaned on the headboard.

It was peaceful for him. The preparation for a war wasn’t easy, and he wanted to ensure that they didn’t miss anything either. They were working 19 hours a day, only sleeping for the mandatory 5 hours with a 5-10 min break every two hours.

Their body was on fire, but they were more tired mentally because their minds were working and not at peace even when they were sleeping.

Everyone knew tomorrow was a big day.

All the soldiers were even allowed to go back to their homes and spend 3-4 hours with their families even when they needed to train because no one knew who was going to survive the next day.

It was crazy. They were scared. Yes, they were motivated to fight till the very end and bring justice and end these small fights for once and all, but it was coming at the expense of their lives too.

The royal family didn’t approve of this war, and as a result, only those people who were ready to go against their grandfather were only participating in the war from the family.

Elliana had really thought that no one would come and support them, but to her surprise, Prince Vincenzo, who was out of the nation and heard about the war, was the first one to rush back and scold them for not telling him anything.

He was with them. He said he was ready to lay down his life for his family at any time. And what surprised them even more was when Prince Stephano and Marcus joined them too.

They said this was what family was for. And though Sebastian didn’t mention it, Elliana could see that he was really touched by this action of theirs.

Elliana sighed. It was really a big day for them.
