The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 643: The D-day
Chapter 643: The D-day
It was finally the D-day.
The day everyone was dreading and working so hard for.
Elliana stood in front of her husband, wearing battle attire with latex jeans and top with an armour vest and a black cloak that was a symbol of being a dark witch along with a black skull emblem that showed she was a part of the army that belonged to Mr. Marino too.
Sebastian was no better.
For the first time, he was standing in front of everyone in his battle attire, and it was nothing less admiring.
His royal cloak with chains on his shoulders that dangled by his hand was especially enchanting because the thorns on them almost looked like they were ready to embrace the enemy and slice their throats.
He was yet to wear his mask and looked at his wife, who was standing right in front of him, looking at him with a confident yet wavering gaze.
Without wasting a second, he stepped ahead, placed his hand on her head and grabbed a fistful of her hair.
"What are you doing?" Elliana asked as she was very well aware that their family was there.
"Telling my beast that this is the woman we need to protect today with our life," Sebastian said, his eyes darkening immediately as he let his beast take control.
His people, who felt the presence of his beast, immediately stepped back out of courtesy because they knew how their king’s beast didn’t like people standing close to him.
Elliana looked straight into his eyes and smiled.
"So you are here to let me know how you will protect me with your life?" She asked and Sebastian’s beast stepped forward before getting on his left knee.
He took her palm and placed it in front of his mouth. Everyone thought that he would just kiss her like a true gentleman that the beast acts like when he deals with Elliana.
However, to everyone’s surprise, the beast dug his fangs in Elliana’s palm, taking a little sip of her blood.
King Eros wanted to interrupt, but before he could open his mouth, Nathaniel held his hand to stop him.
His father was new to these things and didn’t know how these two really act with each other. But he on the other side has almost seen all of their crazy sides with each other and knew that this was just his display of eternal affection for his woman.
Elliana didn’t flinch. She just kept looking at him intensely, her own eyes darkening with what Sebastian was doing, and she swore if they weren’t going for the war, she would’ve surely shown him how to display affection properly.
After taking a little sip, Sebastian’s beast stood back on his feet and placed his forehead on hers.
"I love you," he whispered, and Elliana nodded.
To everyone’s surprise, she grabbed a fistful of his hair in her hand and tilted his head before biting into his neck.
Almost all the guards in the room averted their gaze at this open display of affection between their King and future princess.
King Eros, on the other side, widened his eyes when he saw what his daughter was doing.
What the hell was she doing? How can she - He looked at Nathaniel for an explanation, who just sighed.
"For some reason, it’s the Princess who actually started drinking Sebastian’s blood before he could get the chance to. You can say, she is the true vampire of their relationship," Nathaniel said as they saw Elliana retreating, blood dripping from the corner of her lips before she rubbed her finger on his bite mark that was healing already.
"This is how you stake your claim, Sebastian," Elliana whispered, the beast’s eyes widening when she said his name so sensually.
"And you will be under my care. I am the real monster here," Elliana whispered, letting her dominant violet eyes surface before she turned to her left, executing a powerful queen’s aura.
She clapped her hands, and as soon as she did that, the maid walked ahead with a large platter tray that had his battle mask that was shaped in the form of a Viking helmet.
Elliana grabbed the helmet and looked at her husband, who immediately lowered his head for her to put it perfectly.
Eliana took a deep breath, her heart trembling a little at the thought that it was finally happening. The sacrificial witch’s words about her losing someone precious to her resurfaced in her head.
Seeing her wavering and trembling hand, Sebastian placed his hand on her hands and helped her place the helmet on his head.
"You can’t be scared. You are my source of energy," Sebastian said before he stood straight and turned to his people, who immediately looked at him, ready to fight for them.
Elliana looked towards the entrance, feeling weird that the royal family didn’t come to wish them good luck and victory.
It was peculiar and though she didn’t want to think of things like that, the absence of the elders was only making her sour towards the family.
"Are we ready?" Vincenzo stepped ahead with his Viking helmet in his hand, followed by Stephano and Marcus, who nodded at Sebastian.
"We are leaving in some time," Sebastian said and looked at his wife.
He looked at Luscious, who stepped ahead according to tradition and placed a black diamond brooch on her cloak shaped in the form of a star and engraved in a rose pattern.
Elliana bowed to him to show him her respect before bowing to her family members. Since she was the youngest of all, and was practically representing the dark witches, it was a tradition she needed to follow.
It was also rumoured among the dark witches that Elliana would take over the dark witch kingdom as soon as they came back with a Victorious destiny.
"Are we ready?" Sebastian asked once their procedure was done and Elliana nodded.
Sebastian took a deep breath and walked out of the Black Skull Palace where the army of their prime soldiers was gathered.
He looked at his people before establishing his domineering gaze.
"I am not going to say anything to you today. For the past two weeks, we have been working hard for this day, and it’s finally D-day. You might be waiting for any further strategies from our side, but there are none. We will follow our original plan.
All I want to say is that... Fight it as if it is your last battle. Fight it as if your generational name is dependent on it. I want you to fight this battle to protect who you care for the most," Sebastian said, and everyone nodded before shouting ’yes, sir’.
"Who are we fighting this battle for?" Lucas shouted.
"To protect our dignity!" Everyone shouted.
"And?!" Lucas shouted again.
"To show them we are no less. We are powerful!" They shouted.
Lucas nodded and was about to turn around when everyone shouted something that made everyone crack into laughter.
"To protect our princess," They said, and Sebastian looked at his wife amused.
"Well, what about me?" Sebastian asked amused and seeing how no one said anything, he chuckled again.
"You guys come back from the battle. I will show you the consequences of this," He whispered, making everyone smile.
He could see that all the leaders were just trying to create a happy mood around to suppress their anxiousness regarding the battle and he was very much thankful for his team.
Then again, he was more thankful to his wife who changed the environment of not only his palace, his life but everyone around him.
They used to live like dead bodies, but it was she who brought life into those bodies and taught them how to smile and tackle all the hardships with a positive attitude.
"Everyone! We are ready to win this fight!" Elliana raised her voice and everyone shouted yes.
"We are going to show them that when there is a will, there is a way, and we are doing this for a good purpose. For a peaceful living!" Elliana shouted.
"For a peaceful living," Everyone repeated her words, and she immediately raised her hands in the air, the loud earth-shattering thunders a clear indication to all the groups who were participating with them and spread all around the kingdom that they were ready for the battle and needed to reach the battle place.
It was also an indication to the opposite team that they were starting to leave their places and reach the battlegrounds.
Since Luscious couldn’t directly help with the war, he was responsible for miscellaneous tasks like helping them take all their weapons and ammunition to the battlefields and using his magic to help the troops hide behind the cover by directly appearing there and not letting the opposite team find out about it.
That way he wasn’t breaking any laws of his salvation path.
"I will be leaving first then," Luscious said and Elliana nodded.
He disappeared into thin air to complete his task.
Elliana looked at the sky where she could see the shadow of Lord Ahriman and surprisingly the sacrificial witch who was mocking her that day.
Even she was here to see the battle that was probably going to change the history of witches.
She shook her head and took a deep breath before nodding at her witch clans.
"Depart," she ordered them before holding Sebastian’s hand.
"We can do this," Sebastian whispered and intertwined his fingers with hers, making her smile and nod.
"We will," she said before disappearing into thin air and reaching the battlefield.
