The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 644: Lava eruption
Chapter 644: Lava eruption
The entire battlefield was filled with people, people of all kinds of species, and Sebastian’s team could see the stark difference between their team and the team that their enemy brought with her.
Lucas looked at his King, his forehead wrinkled as he gulped.
Judging from the overview only, it looked like Azrael’s team was around 3 times more in number than their team.
Though the team didn’t only consist of witches and had more rogue humans and other humans who wanted to fight against them, it was still an alarming fact for them.
As much as he didn’t want to think negatively and bring down his morale already, he couldn’t unsee the reality right in front of them.
"Sir," Lucas whispered.
Sebastian, who was looking directly at Azrael and the mainland witches behind her, turned his head slightly to look at his subordinate.
The chains on his shoulders moved with each little movement and Lucas sighed.
Sebastian didn’t need a genius to understand what his subordinate wanted to talk about and he nodded.
He looked at his people, some of them already having that ’Fight till death’ ’The last fight’ look on their faces. He could see they were afraid of this big army deep down, and he raised his sword in the air to catch their attention.
"Soldiers! Are we afraid of this bunch of unlawful, pathetic people in front of us just because they are more in number?" Sebastian asked, and the guards looked at their King, a little hesitancy in their eyes, making Elliana look at her husband and then the army.
"Half of them are fake. They have created illusions of double humans to make it look like they are more than us and bring down everyone’s morale before the fight even starts. It’s a strategy they are using to play with our mentality," Nathaniel said as he looked at his stepmother who immediately nodded.
Azura held King Eros’s hand and together they raised their hands, creating a shield that would hide what was happening on their side from Azrael and her team.
Without wasting a single second, Nathaniel clicked his hands and a screen appeared in front of them. The screen filtered most of the doubles by making them look a little more blurred than everyone else.
"You guys can see this, right? This is what we meant when we said this war is going to test not only our physical and emotional but our mental strength too. You guys will have to believe in yourself to be able to beat this big army," Nathaniel said, his gaze shifting towards his sister, who strangely didn’t say anything.
Usually, she would’ve been the first one to propose to clear this misunderstanding.
However, she was standing there like she wasn’t even part of this war.
What was going on inside her head? He wondered before shifting his gaze to Azura and Eros, who followed his gaze and looked at their daughter with slight worry in their eyes.
Sebastian also turned to look at his wife, who was just looking forward to Azrael. He knew what was going on inside her head.
She just wanted this war to be done as quickly as possible.
"Are you guys ready to fight one of the strongest battles with the strongest witch?" Azrael asked, looking straight at Elliana.
Sebastian walked behind his wife and held her hand.
"Answer for us," Sebastian gave the right to her even when he was the King and main leader of the war.
Why? Because he trusted her a bit too much even if it may look unhealthy to others.
Elliana stepped forward, her cloak starting to float slightly as she looked at Azrael.
She didn’t say anything.
Azrael stood there, her brows quirked as she was quite confident in herself.
"What happened? Cat got your tongue now that you are finally facing me? Where is the confidence that you had when you challenged me for this war?" Azrael chuckled.
Azura clenched her fists when she saw her sister mocking her daughter. She looked at her strangely calm daughter.
Thinking that her daughter was probably really scared, after all, she was just an eighteen-year-old girl, Azura was about this two forward to help her daughter when King Eros held her hand.
"Let her handle it," He said.
Azura looked at her husband helplessly, following his command nonetheless.
Elliana just clicked her fingers in the air. Her confidence returned with a tenfold attack as she raised her hand in the air, confusing everyone.
"Strongest witch, you say?" Elliana finally whispered, and as soon as she did that, lightning flashed in the sky, bright enough to light the entire sky and make it look like the Earth was coming to an end.
Followed by that lightning was a loud thunderclap that made everyone place their hands on their ears to block the voice that felt like it would make their ears bleed and tear their eardrums.
It was quite normal, but what happened next shocked even Azrael as she looked at the field between them. It had a large crack that probably extended to an entire kilometer, the crack deep enough that one could see lava erupting from it.
Elliana walked ahead and sat on her ankles, extending her hand casually as if she wasn’t trying to catch lava but some cold water to play with.
As soon as the drops of erupting lava came in contact with her hand, it turned red before changing into a completely black solid form.
"Elliana!" Azura looked at her daughter horrified, who was probably burning her hand to prove her point, but when they saw her unscathed hand, she stopped struggling in King Eros’s arms.
Elliana raised the solid material in her hand before she threw it on the ground and the area immediately wiped the entire ground, including all the trees and bushes as if they never existed.
Azrael stood there frozen in her place. It had taken her witches an entire week to form such bombs, and this girl was able to do it just by randomly throwing solidified lava.
"So what? Does this make you the strongest of all?" Azrael asked and Elliana smiled.
She just stood from her place and dusted her hands.
"Of course not. I am just a regular witch. However, this surely made your army know what they are fighting with," Elliana said, and Sebastian smirked when he noticed the same amount of hesitancy in their enemy army’s eyes, the fear that was in their people.
His wife was good at taking revenge. He must say. And he knew this was going to be the same too.
