Chapter 646: For peace

It was horrifying.

Azura held King Eros hand as she felt scared for her daughter who already signaled to everyone to not interrupt this fight that was between her aunt and herself.

"It would be fine," King Eros said, and though he said those words, anyone could see he was saying those words just to calm Azura when he was himself feeling troubled.

Elliana, on the other hand, attacked the witch with her sword that was laced with the Blue Magna that was a symbol of her purity while Azrael pulled out her sword that was engulfed with Black Magic.

As soon as the two swords clashed, a loud lightning echoed in the environment and both of them raised in the air while their army fought each other.

"I don’t understand what makes you so confident, but I will see to it that this confidence shatters terribly today and once that happens, I will ensure to kill all these witches on your side, sucking their magna for my one ultimate goal," Azrael smirked.

Elliana didn’t say anything and just countered all the attacks Azrael was trying to land on her.

She was strangely calm while she moved her body in the air, the training from Lord Ahriman finally coming to use now that she was fighting in the air, something that needed a lot of experience.

Azrael, while attacking Elliana with her sword, cunningly used her other hand to create a powerful center of Magna before she neared Elliana and slammed that ball right in Elliana’s abdomen.

Elliana, who wasn’t prepared for this kind of evil trick from her aunt, was thrown backwards in the air before her body hit the tree.

"Elliana!" Azura shouted, wanting to run to her daughter.

Sebastian, who was busy slicing heads, raised his gaze towards his wife, and his anger started to take over.

His beast immediately took over him, not at all asking for his permission this time.

"My wife needs me!" Sebastian’s beast started, and they were about to rush towards Azrael to behead the witch.

However, Elliana, who everyone thought fell unconscious, opened her eyes again, wiping the blood that dripped from the corner of her mouth.

She looked at the vengeful witch, and a contemptuous smile appeared on her face before she licked her lips and sucked on her lower lip to stop the blood from oozing and wasting her magna.

Her eyes turned a deep shade of violet as she tilted her head.

"You asked me what was making me so confident? If one of the strongest witches is using such tricks to put me down, it only means she sees caliber in me and knows she wouldn’t be able to ever fight fair and win. That is exactly what makes me so confident," Elliana said before she threw the sword she was using in a random direction.

Azrael turned to look at where Elliana had thrown the sword, and seeing it going straight through her main team with Kayla’s heart, her pupils dilated.

Kayla was actually trying to sneak an attack on the five elemental witches and Ari who was fighting on Elliana’s behalf. It was kind of her unique technique.

She had the capability to make herself invisible and lower her magna aura that would make it hard for people to know she was near them. And when no one expects it, she attacks with her lethal python blade that can kill 5 witches in a single go.

"How did you -?" Azrael stuttered, her belief that Elliana had something under her sleeves that could help her win this battle, strengthening even more.

What she didn’t know was that Elliana was able to recognise the powers of that hidden witch because she could see the disturbance in the aura of her protective shield that she spread among everyone. Not to mention when she looked at the field while fighting Azrael through Nathaniel’s illusional warriors, she could see Kayla’s blurred figure nearing the five elemental witches.

"Because I don’t fight to kill. I fight to save," Elliana whispered, and everyone who heard her words felt their hearts filled with warmth as they started to fight with even stronger determination.

That was right.

They were fighting to save, to save their loved ones from the wretched truth that will become their reality if they lose this war. They were fighting with their King and future queen who were trying their best and sacrificing their happiness and life for them.

This wasn’t a fight that was going to decide who will rule the world. For them, it was a fight that was going to decide if they would get to live with their family members in peace.

After all, they would be damned if they let those humans take over them. It wasn’t about the food cycle, it was the cruelty that those humans performed with many female vampires in the past, not to mention how they treat the area they lived in.

The stark difference in the livelihood of the vampire kingdom, and the overexploitation of the area where those human kingdoms were, was a clear indication how much they needed to keep things in control if they wanted to live in a worthwhile environment.

"For peace!" Ambrose shouted, and everyone in Sebastian’s team mimicked him and started shouting all together.

Elliana smiled at her team’s zeal and a sigh escaped her mouth.

"This is the truth. This is what it looks like when your people really love you and are not with you because you promised them something. They are our real strength and for them, I am ready to bleed as many times as it would demand if it means we would end up victorious," Elliana said before she raised her swords once again and started fighting with Azrael.

This time, Azura, King Eros, Nathaniel, Yaretzi, the five elemental witches, Misha, and Ari didn’t hold back either.

Rather than helping the vampires, they went and attacked the witches with everything they got. The humans and the rogue vampires were being handled by the vampires and werewolves.

Jasmine and David nodded at each other before they howled loudly, indicating their werewolf team to attack the rogue vampires who were taking advantage of wounded vampires.

It was a teamwork that they needed to stick with if they wanted to come out alive.

The alpha of the Red Moon Pack, Alpha Zeus, looked at the rogue wolves coming together like a pack to protect a vampire king and a witch princess and couldn’t help but think about all those times when they forsake the permission of a rogue to join their pack because they always thought that the rogues were disloyal creatures who would only result in their downfall.

Alpha Zeus looked at the girl who was known to have brought all these rogues together and couldn’t help but feel how they failed their own species but a little girl from another species won the hearts of people all around.

No wonder even after knowing it was a losing battle, so many people joined to risk their lives.

Alpha Zeus didn’t waste a single second and raised his hand to signal to his people to attack the rogue vampires too so the vampires could focus on taking care of humans who were acting sneaky.

While Sebastian was moving ahead beheading every person from the other party in his path, he finally faced that one person who was the reason behind the human rogue’s retaliation.

Gambit.
