Chapter 660: Strange sensations

Sebastian walked out of the house, his social battery reaching its limits and he didn’t think he would be able to act sociable anymore.

Rather than going to the park that was near his car, he walked to the market instead.

As he was passing by a jewelry store, he looked at the different types of earrings.

’Does this one look good?’

"It looks -" Sebastian paused when he realized he was about to reply to the voice in his head, and he moved his hand through his hair, frustratedly.

"Sir, would you like to see anything? It’s our good luck that you came to our shop," the old lady immediately walked ahead with a pleasant smile on her face.

Sebastian was in no mood to buy anything, especially anything feminine. However, seeing the happy and hopeful expression on the lady’s face, he couldn’t deny her.

With a sigh, he walked ahead and placed his finger on one snowdrop-designed earring.

"Hmm, good choice," he heard, and thinking it was the voice in his head, he didn’t turn around to see who it was.

However, when he saw a white porcelain hand extending beside him to pay, he realized someone indeed spoke to him and he turned around, but it was too late. The girl was already gone.

He looked around to see if he could find anyone familiar.

"Did you see the girl who just paid you? Where did she go?" He asked, not even knowing why he was feeling so urgent, but the lady who was selling the jewelry shook her head, and he sighed.

He looked around again, but when he didn’t find any, he clenched his fists.

Maybe he was being delusional again.

"Sir, are we ready to leave?" Lucas walked to him and he nodded.

Sebastian was about to leave with Lucas and Ambrose when he saw Marcello getting out of his car.

"Marcello," Sebastian nodded at him.

The Duke, who was busy with his thoughts, bowed to their King.

"You finally showed up," He commented, and Sebastian shrugged before he noticed some containers in the back seat of his car.

Why were these containers so familiar?

"Scent-hiding sprays?" Sebastian said without even knowing what it was, and Marcello paused.

"You know about them?" He was visibly surprised.

Sebastian kept looking at the bottles that were in the designs of some kind of branded perfume bottle. He didn’t answer Marcello.

How could he when he didn’t even know how the hell he knew it was a scent-hiding spray? It’s just something that his intuition told him, and he followed it just like that.

"Does it matter? What are you doing with it?" Sebastian asked.

"Well, it’s not illegal, and I hope you remember that I still work in the black market," the Duke said, without any fear and walked inside the house.

Marcello was grateful that the king didn’t ask him how the hell he prepared that, because at the end of the day, he didn’t know.

All he knew was that, one day he was cleaning his office a few months back and he found a file that contained chemical substitutions of various things like this scent-hiding spray, poison, poison for rogue vampires, and whatnot.

He didn’t remember anything. Where did these scribbles come from, or how the hell did he get hold of such precious things? It wasn’t his writing either. He had no idea at all.

There was just one name or was it even a name to begin with?

It said Glory. What was this Glory?

Marcello shook his head before he went inside, smiling at his wife who was cooking for him.

"Hey, baby," Marcello kissed her neck, and Ella widened her eyes at his mischief.

She turned around with the spatula in her hand, glaring at him as she motioned to him that the family was still there. How could he act like this in the presence of everyone? What if someone sees them?

Marcello chuckled before he pulled her in and pecked her lips, making Ella raise her hand with the spatula, but the guy only held her hand, turned her, and kissed her again, making her stomp her foot on the floor angrily.

"Fine, fine. I won’t make you feel shy. I won’t do anything until everyone is here. But after that..." Marcello placed his hand on her abdomen as he hugged her, whispering soft nothings in her ears while moving as if he was slow dancing with her. freewёbnoνel.com

Sebastian, who wanted to know more about the sprays and saw all this interaction, felt his heart twinge again.

It was as if he once had something precious to him and that precious thing was lost.

’Hey, everyone is looking,’ He heard the foreign words in his head and took a deep, shaky breath.

This wasn’t the first time it was happening. He won’t call it jealousy, but whenever he sees a couple in love and being mischievous to each other, he doesn’t know why, but he feels a strange ache in his heart.

As if he lost his lover or something. And it was the most weird thing because he was sure he never had anyone he loved to begin with.

Not wanting to disturb their happy moment, he was about to turn around and leave when his grandmother stopped him.

"I just got the message from the Duke of the North. His daughter is in the area. I have confirmed and you don’t have any meeting scheduled. Go and meet her. She is waiting for you in the Destiny restaurant," Aubrey said.

Sebastian scowled and was about to deny it when Ella walked out and looked at him and he sighed.

He didn’t want to go, but he didn’t want to hurt his elder sister either, thus, he rolled his eyes and left.

The restaurant wasn’t too far.

He walked inside the restaurant, his overbearing powers and aura, making everyone turn their heads towards him, Lucas walking beside him respectfully with no expression on his face.

Seeing a girl dressed in a light blue sundress with yellow daisy flowers standing at some distance near one of the tables, he directly walked to her, thinking she was the one he was supposed to meet.

The plan was simple.

Sit in front of her. Act nonchalantly and then reject the proposition respectfully.

"Miss -" Sebastian started, her soft comforting smell surprising him as his heart skipped a beat, but before he could call her name, he heard someone raising their hands towards him.

"Mr. Sebastian, here!" Another girl in the blue dress was raising her hand and Sebastian realized he was about to call the wrong person.

"My apologies," Sebastian said to the girl, who was standing there with her earphones plugged in.

He turned around and started walking towards the girl who waved at him until he realized something.

That white porcelain hand with that star bracelet and that strange smell. He paused and quickly turned around to see who it was who caught his attention like this, but just like before, the girl was gone and he looked around anxiously.

Was his condition worsening more than it already was?

With a sigh, he went ahead and took his seat.

The girl in front of him was good-looking. There was no doubt of that. She was petite and had a charming smile, long hair, and gentle green eyes.

The kind of woman any man would be happy to meet and date.

However, in Sebastian’s eyes, she was just any other random girl who was being forced on him.

"Hi, I am the daughter of the Duke of the North," The girl said, and Sebastian lifted his gaze from her nails that had a clean nail art to her eyes again.

"So that’s what you have made your identity?" He asked.

He didn’t feel the need to introduce himself. Anyone who didn’t know him would be deemed a fool after everything.

"No, it’s just I wanted to introduce myself and -"

"You wanted to introduce yourself, but you forgot the most important thing," Sebastian said, and the lady looked at him with a confused expression.

Did she make a mistake already? She was told that though Sebastian Marino was the youngest of all brothers, there was a reason he was the king. He was quite meticulous and hated buttering the most.

She knew she was dealing with a tough man, but what had she already made a mistake?

Wait. Did he want her to bow to him first? Yes. How could she forget her manners? Though they were here to discuss dating, he was still her King.

The girl was about to stand to introduce herself properly again with a bow when Sebastian spoke.

"Your name," he said, and the girl sat there, dumbfounded.

N-name? Right. She didn’t mention her name.

"I am sorry, sir. My name is Gloria Crater," the girl said, and the man in front of her froze.

Gloria? Glori- a... Glory-a... Why does this name feel so familiar to him? Just what was wrong with him today? He wondered.

Seeing the prince sitting there with no expression on his face, Gloria thought she offended him again and stood from her seat to bow to him.

However, as soon as she bent to bow, someone placed their hand under her chin.

"Tut...Tut... Tut... Is this what we call a fragile male ego? How can you make a girl bow to you like this? What a piece of -" The girl, who was speaking, stopped when Sebastian looked up, her eyes widening.

Sebastian looked at the girl and his pupils dilated. He wasn’t imagining things. It was the same girl, the same hands, the same porcelain hands, and the star bracelet.

What the hell?
