Chapter 670: Collecting Princes

"Are you trying to flirt with me?" Elliana finally asked with an amused smile on her face and Vincenzo smirked.

"Is it working, pretty lady?" He asked, his charming smile making Elliana swoon slightly.

Elliana was about to reply to him when Samantha walked to them and grabbed Elliana’s hand.

"Brother Vincenzo," She nodded at the prince from the royal family, her words taking Elliana back as she looked at Vincenzo once again.

No wonder his aura looked so influential. He was a royalty too.

She shook her head.

What was with her meeting all the royalty one by one? She shook her head and removed her hand from Samantha’s grip.

"I’ll be around," she said to her friend and after nodding at Vincenzo one last time, she left for the racing course, wanting to see what kind of track it was.

As soon as Elliana left, Vincenzo’s soft expression turned grave again and he looked at his cousin from the third royal family.

"Who is she?" He asked, not at all hiding his interest in this girl.

Samantha looked at Elliana, who was strangely picking the interests of her cousins as if she was picking some teddy bears, and couldn’t help but shake her head.

"A student in the student exchange program. A witch that came from the dark witch regions," Samantha said before she walked away to see what her new friend was up to now.

She didn’t know if it was only her, but she almost felt like she was acting more like a mother to Elliana than a friend should.

After taking a deep breath, Samantha finally walked to Elliana who was looking over the steep hills with a concentrated expression on her face.

She was about to call Elliana when she saw Alcinder talking to David and their expressions were quite serious.

Samantha looked at Elliana, who was still oblivious to her presence, and shook her head before walking to her fiance.

"Is everything okay?" She looked between Alcinder and David.

Alcinder actually has already completed his university. The only reason he still came to University occasionally was for extra courses that his father wanted him to excel at, just like all other co-curricular activities, and also because he wanted to meet his fiance regularly.

It was Samantha’s last semester too.

"It’s nothing," Alcinder smiled at Samantha before pecking her forehead. The girl could only scowl at him.

Something was definitely wrong and he was just trying to cover it because he didn’t want her to be worried. It was clear from his eyes and from the way he was hiding it behind his affection.

"Tell me what’s wrong right now, Alcinder," Samantha asked and the guy sighed before looking at David, who bowed to him and left.

"You know how much I influence people. Must you act like this in front of my people knowing all too well I can’t resist you?" Alcinder stepped forward and wrapped his hands around her waist.

He looked into her eyes, her shy eyes that were trying to look away from him. But he wasn’t going to have it.

"Look at me and I will tell you what it is," he said and Samantha looked at him, a bit embarrassed.

"It’s just a few witches who are planning to visit the vampire kingdom for the treaty. Surprisingly they don’t want to meet the royalty and have given clear instructions that no royal or related person should be present there. That’s what we were discussing about," Alcinder said, his words surprising Samantha.

These witches were really something. Usually, whenever a species comes to meet them, they actually try to plead with the council to have the royals on board just so they can get into their good books.

However, witches were the only species that didn’t interact with the royals at all. There was no bad blood between them, but the awkwardness from their side was a bit too hard to ignore.

That was the sole purpose of this student exchange program too. To have the witch students interact with the vampire students and try to remove whatever myths they have about them in their hearts that make them uncomfortable around them.

But judging from their same demands, it didn’t look like it was working any good.

"It’s nothing severe. Don’t worry about it," Alcinder kissed her temple and Samantha shook her head.

"Even if it’s nothing to be worried about. As the future wife of the partial council head, I want to know about everything and stand by your side in every situation," Samantha said, making Alcinder smile.

He was about to tell her to enjoy the race which was about to start soon when Samantha spoke.

"Should I talk to Elliana? She might be able to help us. After all, she is a witch too and good words from her might have a good influence," Samantha said and Alcinder looked at the girl before pressing his lips into a thin line.

He didn’t know if it was a good idea.

What if the witches take this wrongly and think they were using one of their people to pacify them when they just wanted to have her enjoy diversity?

"Let’s not worry about it and enjoy the race first," Alcinder held her hand and pulled her towards where everyone was gathering.

Almost everyone was already on their bike apart from Elliana and Dexter.

Dexter because he was talking to his friends, who were motivating him to get the girl as a bonus as she looked quite good too and might give him a good time, and Elliana because she was looking at the path and fighting back the sense of Deja vu that was hitting her again and again from the moment she came into this vampire kingdom.

It was almost as if she lived on plains her entire life and it didn’t help her that she knew she lost some of her memories and it was making her battle with herself even more.

"Hello, Miss All-talk, get on the bike. The race is starting," Dexter said and Elliana clenched her teeth before getting on the bike.

As soon as she removed the stand of the bike, she almost fell because of how heavy it was and if it weren’t for Vincenzo who was standing right behind her because he wanted to wish her good luck, she would’ve been crushed.

A few snickers echoed in the environment while Dexter looked at the girl with mockery.

Was he really going to compete against this rookie? He shook his head before wearing his helmet.

"Are you okay? This bike, are you sure about it?" Vincenzo asked, the genuine care in his eyes surprising Elliana but she didn’t say anything and just smiled gratefully.

"I was just caught off-guard," She whispered.

It was all because as soon as she removed the stand, an image of someone removing the stand appeared in her head and she lost her balance.

Whatever this feeling was, she knew she needed to get over it because it was getting on her nerves.

As she was starting to get angry, what no one noticed was the golden glow that was starting to appear on her hands again.

"Let’s do this," She told herself as she wore her helmet and closed the flap, supporting the bike one leg with her other leg on the stand, ready to accelerate.

"One,"

"Two,"

"Shot!" frёewebηovel.cѳm

The shot of the flare gun echoed in the air and all the bikes started to speed up.

Sebastian, who reached the spot at the same time because even he didn’t know why he was so interested in this particular race, immediately recognized the back of the familiar girl who had taken over his head since morning.

"King Sebastian," All the onlookers started to bow down to him and Vincenzo turned around to see what the fuss was all about, raising his eyebrows when he saw his brother standing there who barely took time to even talk to them.
