The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 690: Ella’s emotions
Chapter 690: Ella’s emotions
Inside the royal vampire palace, Vincenzo sat with his brother Marcus, sipping tea after discussing the matter his father, Noah, had asked him.
"What are you thinking about?" Marus asked when he saw his brother deep in his thoughts.
Vincenzo shook his head before taking another sip of his drink.
"I recently met a girl," He said after a drawn-out sigh, his words piquing Marcus’s curiosity.
He didn’t say anything, waiting for his brother to continue speaking. However, when Vincenzo didn’t say anything further, Marcus spoke again.
"So it’s about a girl, huh? And here I thought you were celibate. You know how to get attracted to girls, too," Marcus commented, earning a glare from his brother that made him smile in return.
"It’s complicated, Marcus. There’s something different about her. I have met her twice, but I haven’t been able to pinpoint what it is. When I am with her, I hear her voice in my head -" Vincenzo paused, unsure how to explain the feeling.
Marcus sat straight this time. He could see that this wasn’t something worth joking and his brother might be falling for real.
"Like a mind-link?" He asked, but Vincenzo shook his head.
It wasn’t a mind link. It was a weird connection, though. He could hear her voice in his head, but the words that she speaks are always different—like a sense of Deja Vu hitting his head. However, the funny thing is he is sure he has never met her before.
As he explained his dilemma to Marcus, he could see the guy falling deep in his thoughts.
"What’s her name? Let me see if I can get some inside information on her," Marcus said, but Vincenzo took another deep breath.
What was her name? How could he really get inside information on a witch princess?
Vincenzo told him it was a witch he was talking about, and what Marcus said left him speechless.
"Does that witch happen to be a University girl named Elliana?" Marcus asked, and Vincenzo froze for a second.
"Have you met her?" he asked, and Marcus nodded before telling him he was there to take classes and how she had acted completely obvious to his presence and gotten a punishment from him. He had felt something similar and wondered if it was a witchy aura that was making him feel like that or if it was related to something. However, he soon forgot about it because he had no other encounter with her.
Vincenzo fell deep in thought. How was it possible that literally everyone was feeling a bond with this girl? And why were Sebastian’s feelings the strongest among them when the guy nearly hated witches and tried to stay away from them?
He even went as far as going to the white witch kingdom just for her. What the hell was going on for real?
It would’ve been okay if only one of them was feeling such a thing, but now that they could see all of them who were meeting her were feeling this, wasn’t this matter worth adding the elders in?
"What do you think? Should we ask sister Ella about it? Among the entire family, she has been the only one who has had some kind of witch interaction in the past. Maybe she will be able to give us some plausible, believable answers?" Marcus asked, and after contemplating for some time, they finally decided to meet her.
Ella’s house wasn’t too far from the royal palace, and they reached in no time.
Seeing their elder sister feeding her baby, they couldn’t help wondering how coincidental it was that her daughter’s name was Eli.
Ella, who was surprised by their sudden arrival, looked at the two of them with raised brows as she saw them glaring at her daughter.
"What has gotten into the two of you?" She signed to them as translated by the maid beside her before patting her baby’s back to help her sleep.
Marcello, who had gone out to deal with the Black Market supply, returned and looked at the two princes before nodding at them.
"What brings the princes here?" he mused, knowing that these days, whenever they appear in their house, it’s all because they want to meet his cute little daughter, who has taken the attention of the entire family.
She was exceptional, being the first child in the entire family. No one was sparring her from showering her with their love, and he couldn’t help but feel happy.
Marcus looked at Vincenzo, unsure how to address the issue, and the man in question rolled his eyes.
"Sister Ella, we have a few questions that have been bugging us for some time. We wondered if you could help us. It’s a matter that we can discuss with you only," Vincenzo explained, and Ella looked at her fast-asleep daughter before nodding.
She went into the room and placed her daughter in her little bed before closing the door, leaving it slightly ajar so she could hear her cries if the baby cried at night.
"Tell me, what’s the matter?" She asked with a smile after bringing some vegetables from the kitchen so she could cut them at the same time.
Vincenzo looked at his brother, who wasn’t helping, and couldn’t help but roll his eyes. He wouldn’t have come here if he had known that Marcus wouldn’t participate. He wasn’t that eager to learn these answers.
He shook his head before looking at his sister. Now that they were already here, it was better to ask it and get it over with rather than delaying things.
"It’s about a witch," Vincenzo said one thing at a time to let the information digest.
Ella, who heard the word witch after a really long time and was caught off-guard, accidentally sliced her finger, making her brothers look at her concerned.
Ella shook her head to control her feelings. What was she thinking about? Her heart ached terribly.
"Excuse me," she said, standing from her place and entering the room. Her hands trembled as she stood by the gate, her mind in disbelief at what she heard.
Marcello, who smelt her blood and rushed inside, looked at the two brothers to find out what happened.
’I am not sure. We just mentioned the word witch, and she ended up like that," Marcus said, feeling slightly guilty about bothering their sister now.
On the other hand, Duke Marcello froze and didn’t know what to say anymore.
This wasn’t the first time he heard this word in the household. His wife has cried many times while mentioning this one species. Though she never tells him what makes her cry, what is wrong with the people of this species, or if they hurt her in any way, this topic was a reason for his wife’s heartache and crying nights many times.
Thus, he could see and understand why something like this had happened.
"Give her some time, and she will be alright," Marcello said, and the prince nodded. They were about to tell him they were sorry for hindering their night and asked if he could extend his apologies to their sister, and they should leave when Ella returned with a small bandage on her finger.
She probably used that bandage to make it look like she went inside to treat the wound even when their healing powers didn’t need it. However, no one commented on it.
"You were saying something about the witches. What’s the matter?" Ella asked, trying her best to control her emotions.
Maybe she was overthinking a bit too much. They signed the peace treaty with the witches long ago. Perhaps they wanted to ask something related to any other witch or something like that. There was no use bringing and thinking about that one person every time the word witch was mentioned.
It was hard for her. Because of her pregnancy, those spells hadn’t worked on her, and because of that, she remembered almost everything about the girl who saved her life repeatedly. Though she didn’t remember the details of the war to much extent and why things ended up like that, she remembered her boss, Glory, who raised her like a baby even when she was just a human initially.
It was all her respect for her that she named her daughter Eli.
Tears brimmed her eyes again. She had so much to offer to her boss, so much to take care of, but who would’ve thought she would die like this? She died to protect her brother, and the funny thing was, her brother didn’t even remember anything about the sacrifice of a girl who gave up on everything for him.
Was there anything more cruel than this? She shook her head.
"Well, recently, we met a witch who has arrived in our kingdom under -" Vincenzo told Ella everything about what was happening and what was bothering them.
The more Ella heard, the more shocked she felt, and by the time Vincenzo spoke, she was nearly crying.
"What did you say her name was?" Ella asked, her heart beating at the pace of a bullet train.
"Elliana Minerva. That’s what she said," Vincenzo said, and Ella felt her world stopping for a second.
There was no way there were two Ellaina Minerva in the world. She was the only witch princess with the name, and the fact that she was alive and finally here made her unable to imagine it. Her happiness was at its peak, and she looked around helplessly.
Duke Marcello, who had gone to freshen up while the siblings talked, returned and could feel the anxiousness of his wife through the bond.
"Hey, what’s wrong, baby?" Marcello cupped her cheeks, and Ella shook her head.
"I want to meet her," she signed anxiously, and Marcello, who had learned sign language, didn’t need the maid’s translation.
"Meet who, baby? Who were you guys talking about?" Marcello looked at the prince as his wife cried in his arms, her strong reaction making the two princes feel strange.
Everyone in their family felt some emotion or another when it concerned that girl, but their sister’s reaction was definitely the strongest of all.
