The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride-Chapter 691: Princess of the family
Chapter 691: Princess of the family
After crying for some time and gaining control of her emotions, Ella looked at her brothers with a hopeful look.
"I want to meet this witch, Vincenzo. Only then will I be able to give you a plausible answer? You see, every witch has a different effect on the kind of person they are meeting. While I am not too sure about hating, sometimes, it’s related to the past events or some kind of bonds that the moon goddess herself forms," Ella twisted her words in a way so that her brothers wouldn’t suspect her much.
Vincenzo and Marcus looked at each other, a little unsure.
She almost had them while she was crying. Anyone who would’ve seen her a minute ago would’ve gotten under the impression that she probably knew Elliana all her life, and look at her now, acting like she didn’t know what they were talking about.
Not thinking much about things, Vincenzo nodded at her.
"Well, she isn’t in the kingdom at the moment. Something about some kind of party in her family. Even Sebastian went with her and -"
"Sebastian went with her?" Ella looked at her brother, a little surprised.
Does that mean her youngest brother was starting to gain his memories about her? She looked at Vincenzo, hopefully waiting for his answer, and the man nodded.
"I don’t know what has gotten into him. That was even more the reason we wanted to ask you if witches had that kind of effect on us. He has become her friend and said he wants to visit and see what the witch kingdoms look like. I don’t know what’s going on inside his head. What happened that day?" Vincenzo paused, and Ella felt even more intrigued.
Why was so much happening around her that she didn’t know about anything? Why was she oblivious to Ellaina’s presence when she should’ve been the first one to know? Right. How could she forget it? If Ellaina hadn’t come to meet her since then, it meant she had no collection of her par either, just like the rest of them.
The main question was why the witches lied to her. Were they trying to protect Elliana from her or any interaction with the vampires, or was it because there was something more going on that they wanted to hide from the world? Whatever it was, she needed to know about it.
She knew a person who was a regular in the witch kingdoms and could tell her what was going on. Ella nodded at herself before she asked Vincenzo what he was talking about.
Vincenzo told her everything about what happened at the hill, and she fell deep into thought. It was clear that Sebastian was feeling their bond slightly. That was the reason he was suffering in denial. It was probably getting hard for him to understand what was going on and why he was feeling so strongly for the girl, and in his defense, he tried to blame Elliana.
She pitied them. Life and fate were indeed playing a cruel game with them. They had been suffering all alone for so long, and now that they were finally face to face, they were still suffering because they couldn’t accept their bond or understand their feelings or attraction towards each other.
Ella sighed as she thought about how Azura had talked to her that day.
There was no way she was faking her emotions. As a mother, she could feel unfortunate. If her daughter was alive, what was she so sad over? Could it be something else? Too many questions were swirling in her head, and she almost felt like having a headache.
All the questions would be answered only when she met Elliana now.
"Let me know when she comes back to the kingdom. This is important," Ella said, clearly making her point to her brother, who nodded their heads at her.
At the same time, in the white witch kingdom, Ari sat in the middle chair of the audience while Arizona sat beside her, enjoying the dance and singing program.
Elliana, on the other hand, found the event a bit boring. Things like this didn’t really appease her. Her dislike was visible to Sebastian, who was sitting beside her and observing her more than the dancers.
"If you don’t like such gatherings, why even bother attending one?" He asked her, and the girl looked at him with mixed emotions.
"As a king, you should realize that things aren’t always supposed to be done because of how we want them. Some things and actions are done for family and our loved ones, too," Elliana paused before she looked him up and down.
"I don’t want to be judgmental, but you don’t exactly seem the type of person who would ever put anyone above you," Elliana whispered, unbeknownst to the fact that she was once the woman he kept above his life and his happiness and made her his entire world and reason behind happiness.
Sebastian didn’t mind her words. Instead, he smiled at her description and nodded his head.
She wasn’t technically wrong. He didn’t remember when he placed anyone above himself, and he didn’t think he would ever be able to do it in the future.
Seeing his daughter so busy with her ex-husband that she forgot< Eros couldn’t help but chime in.
"How has your time been going in the vampire kingdom, my little one?" Eros asked, and a slight blush crept up her neck when he called her the nickname before Sebastian.
"Dad," she glared at him, a little embarrassed. Her little action earned her a chuckle from Luscious and Nathaniel, too, making her face turn even hotter than before.
Azura, who noticed the men teasing her daughter, looked at them amused.
"Hey, spare my daughter. Why are you bullying her?" Azura immediately came to her daughter’s defense, and as if Elliana were being wronged, she pouted her lips.
"Mom, only you love me," She scowled at others, making Eros chuckle.
"That’s not the truth. I love my daughter, too. Hey, Azura, don’t come between the father and daughter duo. Enemy located, target locked, boom!" Eros used a sparkle of his powers to gently hit Azura’s head, and the lady looked at him with wide eyes.
"Enemy? I am the enemy now?" She asked, and the man grinned at her while Elliana shook her head at her parents.
"Come on, guys? Must you act so childishly? I am her only favorite," Luscious interrupted them. With Elliana nodding her head, no one could rebuke his words.
Sebastian looked at the girl, who wasn’t just the princess of the family because of her position or her birth in the royal family but because everyone treated her like a queen and couldn’t help but smile at her.
She indeed looked like someone who deserved all the excellent treatment she received. Her words from earlier struck his heart, and he pictured himself ever wanting to put someone above his ego and love her.
His gaze inadvertently moved to the girl sitting beside him. He didn’t know what he was even thinking as her hands itched to touch his, and he held her hand in his.
Knowing how wrongly the family would take this, he gulped, barely controlling his urge.
Seriously, the more he tried to figure her out, the more it appeared that he was leaning toward her. The emptiness he had felt since he woke up that day a year ago, why did it vanish when he was around her?
When he looks into her eyes, the loneliness in his heart feels eased. Though that strange voice still annoys him, why does the voice that matches this girl look bearable and like a melody?
"Mr. Sebastian?" Elliana called him, and he snapped away from his thoughts.
"Sorry, I zoned out. Were you saying something?" He asked, and she shook her head.
"Nothing important. I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to eat something. I feel hungry," Elliana whispered, and the man raised his brows at her.
"You feel hungry, or are you hungry?" He asked, amused.
"Aren’t two the same? Is feeling like it not enough to want to eat food?" She asked innocently, blinking at him.
Sebastian looked into her eyes, felt like they were melting his heart, and couldn’t help but sigh.
"I seriously wonder how you haven’t gotten chubby with your eating habits. Where is all that food going?" He commented, and she grinned, rubbing her belly like a proud mother.
"I am proud of you. Your metabolism lets me eat whatever I want and whenever I want," Elliana said, earning a chuckle from Nathaniel, who was listening to their conversation unintentionally since he was sitting on Elliana’s right side.
Elliana grinned at him before she stood from her place.
King Eros and Azura, who wanted to spend more time with her because they knew she would leave as soon as the party was over, stood with her and followed her, making Luscious shake his head.
"Were they really her parents? Why were they following her like lost puppies?" he wondered before standing himself nonetheless as he followed the group shamelessly.
Rebecca looked at her youngest daughter and her happy family and couldn’t help but feel proud that at least one of her daughters was delighted with her life because she didn’t choose the wrong path exactly.
On the other hand, Ari, who was enjoying the function her mother held for her, turned around to look at her dad and see if he was enjoying her birthday too; she scowled when she noticed the man absent from his seat.
As she looked around anxiously, thinking the man had left, her gaze fell on her dad, who was laughing at something Elliana was saying near the food court. Envy filled her heart immediately, and she couldn’t help but clench her jaws.
Right. How could she forget that the man standing there wasn’t her Dad? If he had been her Dad, he would’ve been sitting with her. That man was her father. She wasn’t allowed to call him Dad, either.
Tears brimmed her eyes as her mood suddenly turned off.
Arizona, who was smiling at the party, felt her daughter’s mood going off and knew something was wrong. She was about to ask her what was wrong when she followed her daughter’s line of sight.
Seeing the man standing with his family, her heart clenched painfully in her chest, and she looked at her daughter with mixed emotions. She couldn’t blame the man for what was happening. She was the one who brought this upon herself and her daughter.
The only thing she could do now was hope that the man would give at least 5% of his love to her daughter, which he gave to Elliana.
Not wanting to see her daughter turn anxious, she was about to call Elliana to ask her if she could ask Euros to sit with Ari for some time. Of course, she would leave.
However, before she could think of what to do, Ari stood from her place and walked to where the group was standing.
